Blake had been running for almost a week now. She was exhausted, but she had to keep running. She slowed down and stopped as she spotted an alley next to the roof she was racing on. Maybe just a short break, she thought. Jumping down into the alley, she curled up on the ground with her face towards the dead end, hoping that her black colors would hide her in the darkness of night.

She wandered through the city, hoping, praying he wouldn't find her, or, worse yet, her friends.

"Hello, darling," said the ominous voice behind her. The voice she had been hoping she would never hear again. She turned quickly towards him and began to back away.

"It's no use trying to leave," Adam retorted. "I'll find you. I always will find you, darling."

"Stop calling me that!" she snapped. "I am not your darling anymore! I left the White Fang because of how you were leading it! Peaceful protests–"

"–didn't work," he interrupted. "And they never will. War is the only way to get things done. Running away doesn't solve anything, either. You can't escape what you are or what happened with Yang."

Blake winced. Images came flooding back. Horrifying images of Adam cutting Yang's arm. "No," she murmured.

"Yes. And that's not the end of it," he continued. "Like I said, I will always find you and your friends. I will stop at nothing to get my revenge. Even you can't stop me."

"No!" she cried.

Blake woke up, gasping. She wiped her eyes with her hand and sniffed before clenching her fists with a sigh. She had to keep moving. She had to, or else.

Poor Blake. Was that intense enough for you guys? XD I know this was short, but the next chapter should be longer. On a side note, this is my first RWBY fanfic and my first non-Gravity Falls fic! Yay! Please review! :)
