So, I read quite a few GakuRin stories out there. Though I admit I'm still obsessed with GakuLuka, GakupoXRin doesn't sound half bad. And a lot of the stories were really heartwarming and neat—either that, or very inspiring. That's why I chose to write a GakuRin one-shot.
(Forgive me for my incredibly crappy attempt at angst, by the way. I've tried writing it before, but what I've found out is that they suck. My angst stories, I mean. Not yours.)
It's a short, dramatic story that involves over abuse of the words "she" and "he". Now, on with the disclaimer...
Disclaimer: I do not own Vocaloid or any of its characters. If I did, it would be an anime/manga. :D (Now that's an awesome thought…)
It was with incredible will that she could keep going at all.
After he had left her for his own selfish purposes. To pursue his own dreams—in hell.
All was left of him was a rose, a lifeless corpse, a bloodstained knife, and a note.
She raises china blue eyes to the cloudless sky. She could still see his face, etched so deeply into her memory, appear in the sky.
A lone white dove circles far off, high in the atmosphere.
She could still hear the words spoken to her the last time they had been together. The last time they ever will.
"So, do you love me?"
Her breath catches in her throat. The purple-haired man chuckles and unties the white bow that she usually wears in her hair.
"I…" She could never come up with a witty response on time. "Do…do you love me?" she finally replies pathetically.
"Hmph. Of course I do."
Her hands tighten on his shoulder, her sunflower yellow nails digging into his skin. "Promise? Will you be with me forever?"
There was a silence.
Finally, when she thought the quietness was about to burst, he finally answered,
"Yes. I promise."
But he hadn't. He hadn't kept it.
She crumples the note without reading it, silently vowing to never fall for another man again.
Above, the dove dips down to drop an olive branch on the girl's windowsill.
You promised, Gakupo. You promised.
So how was it, my dear peeps? Did it suck? (You've been warned.) AND SUPER CHEESY IT WAS, TOO. Anyway, I'd just like to thank the awesome GakuRin writers that inspired me to start typing again. (I was a bit out of ideas for another story, and I wanted to take a break off of Oh, the Regret since I've been slacking off. T_T)
And please don't ask me to mention who. You all are awesome. And live with that. ^.^
…My stupid laptop just wouldn't cooperate, that's why I might have some grammar mistakes in there. Feel free to point them out :D
And I wrote this whole thing in like 10 minutes, while listening to "In the name of God", Gakupo's version (is there another version out there?), so that's why it probably sounds like it fails. Oh well.
Please R & R!
