Star of Victory is Born Part 1
Long, long time ago, it was a quiet night at the deep, dark forest. In the forest, there was a laboratory facility, and the lights were still on, indicating that there were some people working overnight.
Two scientists were working hard and diligently in the labroom. Strange machine was making noises as it was making something.
"There we go!" One of the scientists exclaimed. This scientist was a man with gray shade, who could be around in his mid 50 or early 60.
"Is it done, father?" The second scientist asked. This one was a young woman with curly, blond hair.
"Indeed it did!" He jumped in the air for joy. The machine's lid opened like an oven, and the male scientist carefully pulled the tray, releasing a hot steam of smokes.
Once the smoke was cleared, a single key was presented on the tray. It was a small key with gold W and number 1 in red color in the middle of the letter W on the black handle.
"You did it, father! With this key and the Driver, this can surprise the Academy!" The female scientist stated excitedly.
"Now, now, Carolina," he said. "Let's not get ahead of ourselves, but you are right. The possibility is endless and I hope my new invention will help people. Now we just have to…."
Suddenly, the door opened like a bang.
Both scientists gasped.
"What are you doing here?!" Carolina exclaimed.
Just outside the lab, an explosion blown up parts of the building. The laboratory facility was on fire, burning the structure down from the inside.
"Father! Father!" Carolina ransacked around the rumble until she saw an arm. "Father!"
She cleaned out some of the rumbles, where her father was under.
"Father, are you alright?" She asked.
"Caro...lina….Quick. Take the Driver and...ba...the key!" Her father said barely as he coughed while the fire was burning more, and more smokes appeared.
"No! I can't just leave you here!" She cried.
"So...rry, but you got to. Please...take it!" He grabbed her hand, and gave her something into her palm. It was the key.
She cried and then nodded. She quickly went over to the desk, took the Driver and any lab reports that weren't destroyed, and ran out of the office as fast as possible before more explosions were set off.
- Five Years Later -
"Noah….NOAH!" A lady yelled up the stair.
"Waah!" A young lad fell out of his bed by his mother's yell.
"Hurry up, son or you will be late for school! And you don't want that to happen since this will be the third in the week!" His mother warned.
"I'm coming downstairs!" The young lad yelled back as he struggled to put on his uniform pants, but ultimately tripped himself.
He finally came down 30 seconds later.
"Breakfast is already ready," said his mother.
The young lad was 18 years old. His hair was a messy dirty blond hair, half Japanese, and pale white skin. He was tall and his body built was average. His name was Noah Nakamura, a senior in high school.
"I am going to school now!" Noah rushed out of home, but slipped on his way.
"Oh! Are you OK, dear?' His mother asked.
"Ouch..." he mumbled, but got back up. "I'm OK..."
He dragged himself to the front door and ran out to school as fast as possible, passing by the sign that says "Rooms available. Rent at 5000 yen per month."
Noah Nakamura was a kind boy, but not the luckiest guy in the world, if you know what I mean.
"Heads up!" Noah missed the ball completely in the game of baseball during gym class.
He wasn't good at sports.
"Here are the test result from yesterday's English quiz." The teacher announced as he passed the quiz paper to each column of desk. When Noah got his quiz, he got a D.
He barely got an A or B on every tests, but most of the times, he got D or barely C.
And the worst of all…
"Oh man! No toilet paper again?!" He gasped, realizing that he was using the one without the toilet paper as he said.
He always made mistakes, even in the small thing.
He sighed heavily and laid down his head on the desk at lunch time.
"I'm so hopeless..." He moaned.
Just as he was moaning, a young female student walked over to his desk and said, "Are you OK, Noah?"
Noah looked up to see his old, childhood friend. This was Mari Naoki, the most popular student at his high school, Star High Private School.
She was few inches shorter than Noah. Her hair was long and brown with pink stripes, had fair body, and good skin complexion.
Unlike Noah, she was good sports, got straight A on all tests for every class, and just perfect in everything she does. Not to mention that she was the mayor's daughter who lived in a luxurious, rich life. She was happened to be part of the local female idol group, Starz 6.
Fortunately for Noah, she was his only friend for a very, very long time since preschool.
"Oh. Hey, Mari," he greeted weakly.
"Having a bad day again?" She read his mind very clearly. Though, this wasn't new to her or anyone in matter.
"Yeah, and it is only just the first half of the day. I am done for, Mari. I am the most unluckiest guy in the world, and nothing will get better," he sobbed.
"Don't be like that, Noah. You got to be more positive, that's all!" She assured him.
"I wish," he mumbled.
"Oh, by the way, I know what can get you cheer up!" She showed him a flier.
"What's this?" He asked.
"It's a flyer for my next concert, silly. The girls and I are doing it at the Star Shopping Center Plaza. It's this weekend, so if you want to, you can come and just for you, it will be free of admission," she said.
"Oh, thanks, Mari, but I am not sure. What if I forget?" He said worryingly.
"Don't worry! I will remind you in the morning on the day of the concert, so you will come, OK." She said, though demanding.
"Um, sure. Since you said it will be free for me. Thanks, Mari as always." Noah felt a little better.
Mari grinned. "No problem, Noah! I'm inviting as many people as possible, so that they can have a happy life. It's going to be perfect."
While the two discussed and enjoyed each other company, a mysterious student was glaring at them without being noticed.
After the lunch break was over and going through the second half of the school day, the school was over and the weekend was here. Just like Mari said, the Star Shopping Center Plaza was preparing for the concert at noon.
"This is going to be a really cool concert, Mari!" One of the group members said.
"I know, right! It's going to be successful and I'm sure everyone today will really enjoy it," Mari remarked. "I hope that he will come today."
"Who? Is it your boyfriend?" The girl teased.
"No way!" Mari argued. "I'm talking about my old friend from childhood, Noah."
"Oh, him….Right." She rolled her eyes.
"Say, wasn't he the one who came late last year?" The other girl asked.
"Yeah, but this time, I made sure to remind him to come today," Mari explained. "He should received it by now."
At Noah's home, Noah was still sleeping while his Smartphone rang continuously, trying to get his attention that he received a notification from his friend.
"Noah! Wake up! Noah!" His mother woke him up. "It is almost lunch and you skipped breakfast."
"Huh? What did you say, mom?" He asked, looking half-asleep.
"I said it is almost lunch and you skipped breakfast. You slept through most of the morning, dear." She pointed to the clock, which said 11:45 am.
"Oh crap! I promised Mari to see her concert at the plaza today! I got to go now, Mom!" He exclaimed as he jumped out of the bed.
"Wait, honey! You haven't changed yet!" His mother stopped him.
After he changed his clothes, he stepped out of his house and rushed to the shopping mall this time.
"Oh man! I overslept again, just like last year! Man, nothing gets right for me!" He complained as he ran as fast possible.
While running, a man was fishing at the river. Just then, his rod moved and then he tried to pull his catch.
"Ha, ha! I got you now!" He pulled as hard as possible.
He pulled up the catch, but it wasn't what he thought he wanted to catch. What he caught was a strange looking belt with a keyhole on the buckle.
"Dang it! It's just another junk." The man threw the strange belt away, which concidentally hit on Noah's head.
"Ouch!" He cried. "What the heck!?"
He looked at the strange object that hit on his head.
"Where did this thing come from?" He asked to himself. "Whatever! I got to get going!"
He decided to take the strange belt with him as he just continued to head his way to the plaza.
Meanwhile, the concert just started at the plaza.
"Ladies and gentlemen, shoppers of all ages! Welcome to the annual Starz 5's Local Concert!" A man in suit announced.
People clapped to his presence.
"I hope you are all enjoying your time here at the Star Shopping Center, and things will become much more fun! I welcome you all, the ones whom you've been waiting, our very own local idols, Starz 5!" The curtain behind opened as he stepped away off the stage.
Mari, and her four fellow girls presented at the stage.
"Hey, everyone! Welcome to our concert!" Everyone cheered as Mari began. "It is us, Starz 5!"
The concert started as the music began playing. In the crowds of cheering shoppers and visitors, the same, mysterious student watched at Mari specifically. He glared strongly at her as if he was infatuated with her.
"Mari...Naoki…." He mumbled. "She's….She's…..She's MINE!"
Suddenly, his body glowed in dark purple light until he was engulfed into purple flame, burning his body into something else. His body grew and his skin was now black and white, and bulky muscle. His face was all distorted with the eye position all crooked diagonally, and the mouth wide open in the same direction, like his eyes. His hair was no longer exist as his head was just white and bold.
The shoppers noticed the hideous being, and screamed. The monster jumped high onto the stage, stopping the concert and scaring Starz 5.
"Mari...Naoki! You are all mine!" The monster roared.
"Kyyaaaah! Get away from me!" Mari cried.
Just then, Noah arrived at the concert, looking all tired from running all the way from home. He could've taken the bus, which was faster, but he missed it, so he had to run to make it on time.
"What...the...ah!" He panted as he tried to catch breath and also tried to see what was going on.
"Mari!" He gasped aloud.
"Ah! Noah!" Mari screamed.
The monster turned around, facing now to Noah. Noah gasped to see the creature. The creature then jumped off from the stage and walked menacingly to Noah.
"Run, Noah! Run!" She screamed.
"Yikes!" Noah ran off, but tripped horribly.
"No!" Mari screamed.
The monster laughed evilly. "Wow! How pathetic! But, with this kid out of the way, Mari Naoki is all mine!"
The monster fired a green energy ball right out of his hand. Noah got up, but got hit by the attack, causing him to fly over to a table.
"Ouch!" He cried.
"Noah! Nooooo!" Mari screamed until she fainted.
"Now, Mari Naoki is mine!" The monster jumped over to the stage again, and then grabbed the unconscious Mari.
"Oh no, this is bad! The mayor's daughter is in dangerous!" The man in the suit, who was hiding nearby called the police on his phone.
"Ma...Mari!" Noah stood back up, even though he was in pain.
"Hey kid!" He turned to the source of the voice. Suddenly, something was thrown at him, which he caught.
"A key?" He looked at the thing he caught, and then looked at the person who threw it.
It was a mysterious person in trench coat, hat, mask and black sunglasses.
"Use that key to unlock the lock on the belt." The person's voice sounded feminine, indicating that it was a woman.
"A lock on the belt?" He checked the strange belt that he found.
"First wear it, and then use the key to unlock the lock!" The woman demanded.
"Umm...OK." Noah felt a bit weird and suspicious about the woman, but he couldn't deny against her. He put on the strange belt, which perfectly fit his waistline.
Then, he used the key to insert into the keyhole, and turned it, unlocking the lock.
"Lock Opened!" The belt suddenly spoke up.
"It spoke!" He gasped.
"Good! Now, turn the key all the way clockwise!" She stated.
Noah did just that, causing the belt to open up a hidden small door.
"Door to Victory, Opens!" The belt continued on.
"Now, say Transform!" The lady exclaimed.
"What?" Noah looked confused.
"Just do it!" She demanded.
"Um, Transform!" He responded hesitantly.
Suddenly, a strange power surged through Noah. A bright light engulfed him, transforming him into what appeared to be some kind of superhero costume.
He now wore a silver white suit with yellow and blue color. The chest plate had a big blue W with smaller red and white W's over atop each other. He also wore a helmet with two beady, red eyes with a silver W-shaped horn and big number 1 in red color in the center of the face.
"What the!? What is this getup?" He was surprised at what he was wearing.
"Now, fight that monster!" The lady ordered.
"What!? Fight it?! I can't fight, and I don't know how!" He shouted.
"You better or else your friend will be taken away by that monster!" The mysterious woman countered, and she did have a point.
"Well...Ok then….Hey monster!" He shouted at the hideous creature.
The creature turned to him, and with eyes burning with rage, he said, "Who are you? And what do you want?"
"Leave Mari alone...Or...or else!" He responded nervously, shaking in fear.
The monster looked a bit confused, but chuckled under its breath. It put unconscious Mari down and then jumped over to Noah.
"Woah!" Noah somersaulted away to make distance. "Wow! Did I just do that?"
The monster roared and went for a tackle. Noah got hit, and they both crashed into a clothing store, breaking through the display glass.
Noah kicked the monster back, causing him to fly over and hit his back on the cash machine. Money fluttered everywhere, but the monster wasn't finished yet.
"Mari-san will be mine!" The monster stated as he did another tackle attack.
Noah got tackled, and out they went again and this time, they crashed into a toy's store. They destroyed several of the newest Kamen Rider Zi-O's ziku driver toys, but their fight continued.
The monster punched, but Noah dodged every punches without even thinking.
"Woh! I guess I'm better at fighting than I thought!" He said as he stopped the monster's punch.
The monster looked confused, and then Noah punched back at him.
"Hey, kid!" The mysterious lady called to him. "Use your driver's side pocket and take out another key!"
"A side pocket?" He checked his belt, and found a tiny box attached to it. He opened it, and inside of it revealed few more keys.
"Now, use that key to insert the keyhole so you can summon your weapon!" She explained.
"Um, yes maim!" He complied as he chose one of the keys, which had a sword symbol on it. He inserted the sword into the keyhole, and turned it around.
"Lock Opens! Slice to victory! Summoning Sword!" A sword appeared out of his belt. This one was sharp silver blade with golden hit shaped of a letter V.
"Woah! A sword just appeared out of the belt!" Noah surprised.
"Rrraaawww!" The monster roared. Noah reacted quickly in response, using the sword for first time in his life.
He sliced and slashed the enemy with the weapon, hurting the monster and not even making it attack.
"Now, use your main key to pull off a finishing attack!" The lady pointed out.
"OK!" Noah's sword disappeared as he turned the main key, causing the belt to flash.
"It's final attack, time! Who's your winner?" Suddenly, Noah's body just moved by itself as he jumped into the air.
"Waaaaaahh! My body just moved by itself!" He gasped.
"What the?!" The monster looked up and up as Noah jumped very high into the air.
Noah pulled out his feet in front as his body moved now side downward for a kick.
"Victory W-One Kick!" The belt exclaimed as the kick hit the monster.
"Waarrarahahahhh!" The monster exploded as Noah landed safely back on the ground. The mysterious student reappeared unconsciously, looking normal.
"Woooooo….I...I did it. I don't know what or how, but I did it!" He exclaimed.
Suddenly, that was when the police just arrived.
"Put your hand up in the air!" The police shouted at him.
"Huh? What?" Noah looked around, noticing that he was surrounded.
"I said put your hand up in the air!" A man in trench coat ordered, pointing his gun at Noah.
"Wait! This is all a big misunderstanding! There was a monster, but I killed it! So...umm!" Noah panicked as he tried to explain to the police.
Just then, the mysterious woman busted through the police force with a motorcycle.
"Quick! Get on!" She ordered.
Noah was confused, but without hesitation, he got on the motorcycle, and they drove away, like there was no tomorrow.
"They're getting away! After them!" The man in the trench coat ordered.
Hello. This is my first Kamen Rider fanfic! I started watching the newest TV show, Kamen Rider Zi-O, the latest and the last installment in the Hesei Rider series. The show inspired me to write my own Kamen Rider, so here it is.
The theme of the story is about good fortune, and envy. Kamen Rider W-One's name is pronounced "Kamen Rider Won", but I put a hyphen between the letter W and letter O in one to make it sounds like Number 1. Number 1 sounds like the past tense of won, something that you win or just being best of something.
I have some big plans for this story, and I am already thinking of a sequel that comes after this one, but that won't appear for a very long time.
