Garmadon's POV:
I couldn't believe it! I was about to turn Ninjago into my own image, but someone stopped me.
"Father, don't!"
It was Lloyd. My mind flashed back to when he was saved from the volcano, realizing that I didn't want to be evil in the first place, and that it wasn't my choice to begin with. It was the Overlord's. I realized that if the Overlord possessed me, and turned into a dragon, then Lloyd defeated me, I'd return to normal. I made my decision and pressed the button.
The Overlord started cackling. He possessed me and turned into a dragon.
Lloyd's POV:
My father just turned into a dragon. I ran up to the Overlord and we fought. All of a sudden, my father reappeared, calling to me.
"Lloyd! Just destroy me. I know you don't want to, but it's the only way."
He disappeared shortly after. In an instant, I felt a new power surge within me. My kimono turns golden.
"This ends now!" I said confidently.
I launched a full-on attack on the Overlord. Using the combined powers of my green energy and my golden powers, I summoned an elemental dragon.
The battle took to the skies. The Overlord summoned a ball of darkness, grew really big and pretty much ate me.
I didn't give up. I used my combined powers, creating an explosion of light. I collapsed to the ground.
No POV:
Everyone rushed toward the explosion. Ninjago was saved.
Lloyd's POV:
I woke up. Apparently I saved the entire world. I thought my father was gone for good. I curled up into a ball and cried. I felt someone tapping me on the shoulder.
"Lloyd." he whispered "Son, I'm here now."
It was my father. I was overjoyed. I collapsed into his arms, sobbing. I couldn't keep it in.
(Time skip to everyone on the Bounty returning to Ninjago)
Garmadon's POV:
It was the night after the final battle. I had returned to normal and finally reunited with my family. I passed my son's room. He was lying in bed, sighing softly. I entered, sitting next to him.
"Lloyd, I wanted to talk to you."
He slowly sat up.
"Son, I am so sorry about what happened."
"It's alright, Father. I missed you so much." he said while hugging me.
I returned the embrace. "Me too. I'm so glad I'm back."
I sighed. "Lloyd, there's something I haven't told you. Everything I ever did to harm you, it was never my fault. It was the Overlord's. When you came to stop me, something came back. I never wanted to become evil in the first place. I pressed the button, knowing that you'd end up saving me. I let you defeat me. I let the Overlord possess my body. It was the only way that I could return to normal."
No POV:
Lloyd nodded understandingly. The two of them gazed into the night sky, enjoying each other's company. It was all over. Peace had finally returned to Ninjago and Lloyd's family was finally reunited. Things couldn't have been better.
