To Open the Door
"We never needed anyone else."
"We...Always had each other."
That's what we had said,
Ever since the day we were born.
Never needing anyone else,
Only needing each other.
We never let anyone in,
Because people were stupid.
There were two groups out there,
Them and Us.
Us was all that mattered.
"We want to play a game."
"Let's play the 'Which one is Hikaru Game.'"
I remember that game...
"No one could tell us apart."
She told us that.
"It's impossible to tell which of you is which."
"No one can tell, you two are identicle."
Then...
She left...Forever.
After that no one was in our group.
It was us against the world,
The world against us.
Why would anyone else matter?
Why should anyone else matter?
For years that's how we lived,
Until that one day...
"How about you join a club,
"My friend and I are starting?"
We said no.
It didn't sound like fun.
That is...
"If you can tell which one of us is Hikaru,"
"Then we'll try out your club."
We made a bet that day.
But we knew he wouldn't win.
No one could tell us apart.
Not her, not the students or teachers,
Not anyone who 'claimed' their love for us,
And definalty not him!
We gave him a month,
And he failed,
And we gave up...
It was getting boring.
"The one ripping the parer is Hikaru!"
We couldn't believe it.
He had got it right.
That was the first time,
Anyone had got it right!
So...
We tried out that stupid club.
We opened that stupid door.
We opened it together.
And it was that door,
That made us better.
We ended up loving that club.
And it isn't two groups anymore.
It is one.
It's everyone now.
It used to be Them and Us.
But we let people in, slowly.
We let peope into our group.
And it's all because of that door,
The door that we opened,
The door that opened.
