Harry grinned as he walked into the living room and saw his young daughter sitting playing on the baby play mat on the floor. She looked up when he walked over to her and gave him a blinding grin making him fall in love with her all over again.
"Hello princess" he grinned as he pressed a kiss onto her forehead and sat down next to her before he ticked her tummy causing her to laugh loudly and try to crawl over to him, she hadn't however quite got the hang of it yet and collapsed back onto her front causing Harry to chuckle "You're nearly there Emmy" he told her as he reached over and picked her up before sitting her on his lap and bouncing her up and down causing the young girl to shriek loudly with laughter "You are the most adorable little girl in the world" Harry laughed as he leant down to press a kiss onto her chubby cheek "Yes you are"
"Well someone's happy now" came a voice from the kitchen doorway and Harry looked up to see his wife leaning against the doorframe "She's been grumpy all day"
"My little girl was grumpy?" Harry asked in a baby voice as he looked back down at the blonde haired child on his lap who was tugging at his tie "My little princess is never grumpy is she?" he then blew a raspberry on Emery's cheek causing her to laugh loudly and clap her hands "See she isn't grumpy"
Nikki chuckled from where she was still leaning against the doorframe and then giggled at the father daughter interaction she was observing.
"Trust me Harry she's been grumpy all day" Nikki told her husband who stood up and placed the young child on his hip and walked over to her before pressing a kiss onto his wife's lips "She gets the same grumpy look you do"
"I do not have a grumpy look" Harry gasped and turned to their daughter "Did you hear what mummy said? She's being mean to me"
Nikki smiled as she reached up and moved some of Emery's blonde hair so it was somewhat presentable rather than the mess it had been when she got up from the play mat.
"But I love her anyway" Harry told Emery but looked up and exchanged a smile and a kiss with Nikki "she's the only one who will put up with me"
Emery suddenly yawned and Nikki laughed loudly.
"Even our little girl thinks you're boring" she joked and Harry gave her a glare
"Thank you so much, you make me feel brilliant about myself"
"I'm glad I do" Nikki replied with a grin and Harry couldn't help himself so he leant down and stole another sneaky kiss before straightening up and turning back to his daughter
"Shall we go and put you down for a nap then?" he asked her as she yawned again and rubbed her eyes with her fists "Then mummy and daddy can spend some time together"
