Legendary

Disclaimer – I sadly don't own Naruto.
Konoha, governed by the Yondaime Hokage, holds the strongest military force in the world. Trained in the art of warfare from a young age and given power through practices long forgotten by the rest of the world, they were the elite. Unlike the once powerful nation of Iwa, Konoha had no shinobi; instead it possessed warriors trained in the art of the sword. Never to show fear they are taught to counter ninjutsu and genjutsu with their bloody sword.
On the field they are commanded by generals, the greatest of who are bestowed the title of Legendary. Three generals per generation are bestowed the honor; for those three are expected to become just that, legends. Beings of myth, untouchable, they dominate the field as avatars of death. To achieve this title is the dream of all soldiers, including a boy by the name of Uzumaki Naruto.

Uzumaki Naruto stood in line for the Academy, the institute which every male child was required to enroll in at the age of 5. The Academy was meant to embed the rigorous lifestyle of the soldier into these children, till it was automatic. Naruto was acutely aware of the fact that in his generation he would struggle to get the coveted title of legendary. The Akimichi and Nara heirs, whose powerful clans broke from the norm of sword-wielding with their powerful spears and bows respectively, would no doubt prove a competent challenge to the young Uzumaki. To match them were the heirs to the Inuzuka martial arts and the Aburame scythe. And yet the greatest challenge presented itself in the form of the noble sword-wielding clans of Hyuga and Uchiha whose blood had produced some of the finest Konoha had.
And so Naruto takes his first step to the title of Legendary.

Not as long as I would like it to be but it'll do for now. So tell me what you think, please. I thought the first bit was reminiscent of 300, the movie, but maybe I'm just flattering myself :).
