MARIO:
King Koopa was the first antagonist in the series.
Princess Daisy was the first Princess to be captured, and Luigi got the girl.
Originally, Luigi was the older of the two, but the movie kind of changed it.
Bowser is Koopa's older brother.
Peach was the second princess introduced, and made her debut with Yoshi in Super Mario Bro.
ZELDA:
The very first villain was Agahnim, and he stole ALL the Triforces of Power.
The next game in the series didn't debut for nearly a decade.
The wave of Zelda popularity was at its greatest resurgence in 2000, releasing several games for the series, but all paled in comparison to the fame of the first.
TWISTED METAL:
As of today (August 8, 2003) there have been five tournaments.
Sweet Tooth (a demented clown) was the one of the oldest characters on the game, including Calypso, Grim, and Minion.
Dark Tooth is the father of Sweet Tooth, and made his debut in TM: 2, along with Sour Tooth, Sweet Tooth's mother.
Twisted Metal: Black was the first of the series NOT made for PS1.
MORTAL COMBAT:
Mortal Combat, was arguably the most popular game in the 90's, and grossed Billions of dollars, making it the highest grossing game in history.
Shoa Kahn was the main antagonist for four of the games, but was killed after Mortal Combat 4.
Mortal Combat has had three spin offs, most notably the one on Sub-Zero.
There have been two movies, a TV show, and an animated movie about Mortal Combat.
