You know, many people - and by people, I mean women - say that I am good looking. But I disagree. I am not just good looking... I am awesome. That is me, the awesome Prussia. Gilbert Beilschmidt, what a name. Many women would love to share my last name with me, but there is only one person that I want to share it with. You want to know who it is, right? Of course you do. My story telling is awesome. You will have to wait a little longer, though. Sit down for a while, listen to how I met this wonderful girl.
I remember it like it was yesterday. I was walking along, minding my own business when this girl comes up to me with the strangest look on her face and comments on my eyes.
"Are they contacts?" She asked me. I couldn't tell whether she feared or admired me, but I liked the attention. I told her that red is my natural eye color, and she looked at me like I was lying, but she just shrugged and started to walk away. I smirked. This would be a piece of cake.
"My name is Gilbert," She quickly turned around, looknig a bit shocked. She obviously wasn't expecting to talk to me for very long. I winked and she blushed a bit. "And you are...?" She told me her name. Very pretty name... Now that I think about it, Beilschmidt would fit quite well for her.
"So where are you headed?" I asked. She looked a bit uncomfortable as she kept staring at my red eyes and white hair, both colors making each other brighter than the other. I cleared my throat.
She looked startled, then said, "Nowhere in particular. I don't really know where I'm going, to be honest."
"Well," I sighed, "how about we find somewhere to go together."
She smiled and we walked and talked and laughed for the longest time. Eventually I walked her back to her house, and it was already getting late. Man, had the time flown. I guess time really does fly when you're having fun. It probably flew even faster for her, since she was with the awesome me. So, she gave me her number, and we talked several times a day every day and we hung out a lot. We got really close after a few months, then one day I told her how I felt about her. She had that same startled look the first time we met, and blushed a little. She said that she liked me as well. I wasn't surprised. What's not to like?
That was about a year ago, and we've been together ever since. I haven't gotten the courage to tell her that I love her yet. I think I will tell her right before I get on a knee and propose.
Now aren't you glad you decided to listen to that?
You knew from the beginning who the girl was, right?
Yes.
It's you.
I've never said this to you before, and I think it's time that I did.
I love you.
