I DO NOT OWN GINGA DENSETSU WEED!

Jerome stared down at the blue Akita-Kishu pup that was sleeping beside him. He lowered his head and licked the forehead of the six month old Weed. The pup didn't stir but kept sleeping soundlessly.

The large German Shepherd thought about the pup. Weed was brave. That had been proven when he had attacked Kaibutsu with Ken and Kagetora, allowing him to run straight towards the monster and bite him in the chest. Even when Jerome's followers challenged the pup to jump over the gorge, Weed didn't back down and came forward, succeeding in making the incredible jump.

The blue pup was also very strong, despite his size. Jerome had seen him fighting with Rocket for a very brief moment. He saw how the pup was able to get Rocket on his back by simply biting on his neck and rolling on his side, which caused Rocket to tumble to the ground.

Weed was also very kind, even to his enemies. Jerome recalled Weed letting go one of Hougen's followers, despite the fact that the dog had tried to kill him. He also remembered when he had pinned down Rocket. The pup had told Jerome to let him go. He had and now Rocket was a useful ally to Weed's pack.

However, Jerome was also afraid for Weed. Although his kindness was the tie that brought Rocket and so many others in his pack, it was also his greatest weakness. Weed was too kind for his own good. He had no idea how cruel the world – how other dogs and so many others – could be.

Weed was a strong pup, but he was still a pup. Despite that he had killed Kaibutsu, he was still so innocent. He was still playful, like Mel and Reika. Yet, despite his innocence he was still willing to fight for the ones her cared about.

Jerome realized that he couldn't protect Weed forever. He knew that there would be a time when he would be down to his last breath. However, if that time came, he would make sure that would protect Weed at any cost in order to let him live before he let the pup go down.

Lowering his head and smiling, Jerome whispered to the sleeping Akita pup, "Good night, Weed."
