Final Convocations

A/N: I wrote this two or three years ago and I must say I am quite ashamed of how cliché, out of character and outright silly this is. But as I am graduating this year, I felt as though I had to publish it. I own nothing. Enjoy!

"You make me live, now honey!" he screams (well, he calls it singing, but it sounds more like and extremely offended Hippogriff).

"Sirius, please shut up," Lily says through gritted teeth.

"I've been with you such a long time, you're my sunshine!" he continues singing (screaming).

"I thought you were going to help me pack?" she asks, annoyance evident in her voice.

He takes a break from his rather obnoxious rendition of the Queen song to answer her.

"Nah, I just wanted to try and get a glimpse of what you wear when you and Prongs—"

She cuts him off with a trademark Lily Evans Death Glare.

He laughs, pushing his dark hair out of his eyes.

"I'm sure James would tell me if I asked," he says.

"He better not!" The words fly out of her mouth before she has a chance to think about them. "That's private!"

The smirk on Sirius' face makes her immediately regret her words.

"Oh, so you have! Not even out of Hogwarts yet! That's pretty naughty for the Head Girl!"

She chucks a sweatshirt at him and turns to her trunk in an attempt to hide her red cheeks.

"We graduate today—we're pretty much out of Hogwarts," she grumbles.

Sirius is too distracted by the sweatshirt to answer.

"Hey!" he says, examining the back of the grey piece of clothing. "This is mine!" He points to "BLACK" written in bold red letters across the back.

"You let me borrow it."

"Oh right, at Hogsmeade when we were buying Moony a birthday present. You told me that you didn't need a jacket that day and I rolled my eyes and you hit me.

Lily smiles at the memory.

"We certainly have an odd relationship," he says as if discussing the weather.

"You can say that again," she says, stuffing clothes into her trunk.

"Why do you still have it? The sweatshirt, I mean."

"I don't know, really," her voice grows small as she continues. "Sometimes I would wear it when you guys were helping Remus with his, ah, problem."

"There's really no point in using code, love. We're the only ones in here." He indicated to the empty girl's dorm.

"How'd you get in here anyway?"

"I have my ways. It's certainly not the first time I've been in here."

Lily wrinkles her nose at the thought. He tosses the sweatshirt in her trunk.

"Are you ready? We're going to be late to our own graduation and you have a speech to make," he says.

With a flick of her wand, the rest of her stuff arranges itself comfortably in her trunk.

Sirius wonders why she didn't just do that in the first place, but decides it's probably some girly sentimental thing and doesn't ask.

"Are you nervous?" he asks.

She knows that he means not just for her speech and the ceremony, but also for life after Hogwarts. She pauses for a moment before answering.

"Yes. But I'm more excited than nervous."

"Excited to spend the rest of your life with James Potter and his crazy friends?"

She laughs. "It sounds pretty bad when you put it like that."

"A life with you and James and lots of godchildren named after me? Sounds pretty damn awesome to me. Now, c'mon, enough with this emotional talk. We have a graduation to attend."

He grabs her trunk and they start down the stairs.

A/N: I'm not sure if they had sweatshirts with names on the back like the one Sirius lets Lily borrow during the time period...oh well
