SUMMARY : A sweet moment between three brothers. Spoilers for Kapitel 90.
" Some salad!" Krom exclaimed happily, placing three large plates in front of the trio, one each for all of them.
" Ah, thank you!" Kruez chirped, taking his bowl with rather forced enthusiasm, though it could be noted that he didn't even touch the 'food' within; he was probably quite fearful of the salad, more so than Krowell even.
Krowell just looked at the food apathetically, just a hint of fear visible in his eyes.
Leaves... flowers... and some type of unrecognizable... fungus.
He was expected to eat this?
" ... Thank you," His voice was in monotone as he dragged the bowl towards himself, his movements slow and unwilling.
As he looked into the bowl which sat in front of him, a strange sense of nausea started to rise... He could have sworn that something had just moved, right in the corner there.
... And was that really just a brown stick poking out from the underside of a leaf? It looked almost... slimy, and slightly pinkish.

Forcing back the rather overwhelming urge to gag, Krowell's head turned towards his brother in barely disguised panic, an unspoken plea in his gaze.
Kruez just looked back at him, unable to do anything save give a slight shrug, a feeble smile on his face.
Great... Krowell thought helplessly, aware that his oldest brother's gaze was still on him.
Holding his breath, he poked at the mess with a finger, careful to evade the corner as he withdrew the most edible-looking leaf in the bunch.
With slow movements, he placed the leaf in his mouth, shuddering involuntarily as he swallowed the leaf whole without chewing.
... He really shouldn't have eaten breakfast this morning.
Some of his disgust must have shown on his face, because Krom enquired worriedly, " Some salt, otouto?"
He held a small handful of dusty brown earth in his hand, looking to Krowell for confirmation.
... Oh no. That was just too much to ask.
But with a sense of helplessness, he knew that it wouldn't be right for him to just stand up and stomp away.
... How had he let Krom drag him into this, anyway?
Fortunately, Kruez saved him that very moment, exclaiming, " Ah, this is delicious!"
With the attention drawn from him, Krowell inconspicuously tipped the bowl on its side, emptying half its contents to the grass, before grimacing at the revealed worm lying at the bottom of the bowl.
... Great, he repeated miserably to himself, before shaking his head ever so slightly, and shooting a grateful look to his brother.
Who seemed to be choking on a flower stem. His eyes flickered to Krom, sitting next to him, sprinkling dirt over the 'salad' and looking to Kruez anxiously.
Unable to repress the slight twitch of his lips at the scene before him, Krowell felt a soft chuckle escape his lips, a chuckle which was almost immediately cut short as Krom turned back to him, the remainder of the 'salt' in hand.
