Professor Song

River stood at the front of the lecture theatre, her notes in hand, her glasses perched on the end of her nose as she explained the ancient ritual sacrifice practices used by the Blue Women of Venus, which was being vividly demonstrated by the hologram behind her. She picked up a ritual knife, no doubt one of her own finds, and began passing it around the class.

She looked up to find the Doctor, standing at the back of the room, smiling as he watched her teach.

Professor Song, the teacher. He'd seen his wife do many, many things before, but this was a first. And he kind of liked it. He liked how authoritative she was, how intelligent and knowledgeable she was. He liked her low cut figure hugging shirt, and the way that she looked over the rims of her glasses at her students, and every now and again, at him.

When the lecture ended she dismissed the class.

"Oh and Benjamin," she said, looking over the top of her glasses at her husband, a little smile tugging at the corners of her mouth, "would you stay behind please. I want a word with you." The Doctor grinned at her and walked slowly down the steps towards her, where she stood, leaning casually against her desk, a sparkly eyes smile spread across her face.

"So," he grinned.

"So,"

"This is what you do when your not locked up in prison, or raiding ancient tombs, or shooting aliens."

"Yes," she laughed "when I am not with you, this is what I do."

"I like it," he growled. He grabbed her and hoisted her up onto the desk, kissing her roughly, taking her by surprise and eliciting a little moan from her.

"Oh Doctor, did you miss me?" she purred. He chuckle, stroking back her wild curls from her face and kissing her again, softly this time.

"More than you know." River chuckled and leaned back so that she was grinning up at him.

"Well then Doctor, I think we had better reprimand that situation hadn't we."

"What ever you say Professor," he grinned. And pulling her from the table the two headed towards the TARDIS, locking the doors safely behind them, their little blue box disappearing from the lecture room before anyone could notice it was even there.
