One day young Naruto was very happy. He was laughing and eating ramen and having a very good time. Suddenly his day was irreparibly ruined.

A mean-faced villager looked at him and sneered, saying under his/her (this villager's mean face was so ugly that the gender was no apparent) breath, "Monster."

This was so mean and ruined Naruto's day! He was not very happy anymore. He was now very sad!

He decided to go home and make a list of things that made him sad:

1. I have no family
2. I have no friends
3. Everybody hates me
4. Chicks just don't dig me

But Naruto was not the type to quietly take things lying down. If there was a problem then he was going to fix it. He was a take-action type guy. He thought long and hard how to solve his problems.

Of course. Sasuke had no family but everyone loved him and treated him like family. He was mean to everyone but the still loved him and wanted him to be their friends. Especially girls liked him.

What was his secret?

Of course.

The next day Naruto went to school wearing all black. Instead of his big smile he had a big frown. He had decided to be quiet and mysterious to hide his inner pain and suffering in a way that wasn't really hiding it as much as inviting people to be curious about it and ask him about it.

It was very hard.

There were many times in class that he had really funny jokes to make but he could not for he was being quiet, cool, and mysterious.

Then when they had to practice a new technique he could not practice in class because he had to master it at home before showing it to everyone so they would think he was a cool genius.

By the end of the day Naruto was very bored. Very, very bored. He spent the whole day being quiet and having no fun. And people had paid him even less attention then usual. It was not fun at all to be quiet and mysterious.

The next day Naruto wore his brightest orange jumpsuit and played more jokes in a day then he had ever played before. And it felt good.
