So i was re-watching Season 5, apparently... Sort of a song fic. Disclaimer: I own nothing. If I do, Jo, Gabriel and Meg would be alive.

Now that its over

I just wanna hold her

I'd give up all the world to see that little piece of heaven looking

Back at me

Now that its over

I just wanna hold her

I've gotta live with the choices I made

And I cant live with myself today

~ Lucy, Skillet

Dean never thought that he would love a girl so much that he would be this afraid to lose her. Especially when it did happen. The big picture now for the boys is the fallen Heaven. They both witness the fall of almost all Angels from their home and the brothers couldn't wait to kick Metatron in the ass. But as Dean sat in the Impala, drinking a beer, he realized that he couldn't. Just not now. A few tears swam in his eyes as he took another swing of the beverage in his hand. He recalled the conversation that him and Sam had before the younger brother fell asleep.

"This is like the apocalypse all over again. Cas is literally a human, all of the angels had fallen and there is this angel-turn-evil character." Sam laughed. Dean glared at his brother. "What do you mean? Is this funny to you, Sam? We lost a lot of good people in the last apocalypse!" Barked the older brother. Sam realized what he had said wrong and he looked away from his brother.

Dean was so lost in thoughts that he didn't take notice of the tears that kept sliding down his face. He placed the beer down and exited the car parked next to a forest with a small piece of grassland. He sat down on the grass and looked up at the stars that were twinkling back at him. A weird idea crept up Dean's brain and he placed his hands together. "If you are really up there, Jo," he started, his voice becoming hoarser with every word, "I want you to know that no matter what happens to me, you will always be the only one I love the most." He was lost to tears at this point, so he just said the rest in his head. "I love you, so much, Jo." Tears stained the grass in front of Dean and he gasped and sobbed. What Dean didn't notice was the girl that was walking up to him from behind.

"Dean." She whimpered. Dean's eyes flew wide and he stood up and turned around. "Jo." Whispered Dean. The girl forced a smile behind the tears that wet her face. Dean quickly wrapped his arms around the girl and Jo buried her face into Dean's shoulder. The couple held each other for a while before looking into each other's eyes for the first time in years. "How…?" Dean tried hard not to cry as he wiped away a tear from Jo's cheek with his thumb. "It doesn't matter, Dean. As long as you're with me, it doesn't matter." Dean inhaled her sweet scent and he remembered what had happened the night before she died.

She sneaked into his room and climbed into his bed, waking the male hunter. "Jo?" He slurred drowsily. "Hold me." She muttered. Dean complied, wrapping his arms around her small figure. She had her ear pressed onto his chest and she slowly fell asleep with Dean's heartbeat as her lullaby. Dean also shut his eyes shortly after Jo snuggled closer to him.

"Don't leave me." Jo murmured into his ear. "Never." Short and simple, Dean replied. A sudden wind made Dean shiver and open his eyes. He sighed and banged his head onto the wheel frustrated; it was all a dream. He should have known better to know that. Sam was still asleep in the seat next to Dean's. He decided to keep driving at last and the Impala slowly and unsteadily rolled onto a highway around fifteen minutes later.

"But it wasn't a dream…" What Dean had left behind was the girl sitting alone on the grass, a pair of white wings wrapped around herself.

Angel!Jo... Hmm, should I keep writing?
