"So, Blink, what are you doing this Saturday night?" Jack Kelley, a friend of mine since forever, asked.
"I don't know…I mean with Mush not here, I have nothing to do."
"How long is he going to be in Florida?"
"For a week…" I sulked
"Oh."
We were silent for a bit.
"HEY!!" Jack suddenly yelled, "You could come to this party that Bumlets is throwing!!"
I thought about it for a second.
"Oh, I don't know…I wasn't invited."
"SO! Just come. It'll be fun."
I looked at him. His eyes were pleading, and he had a small 'Please-Come-With-Me-Because-I-Don't-Have-A-Date' pout on his lips.
I sighed.
"Oh all right…I'll go."
I mentally hit myself for giving in to his beg, but hey. That's what gay friends are for.
And that, sadly, is how I got into the biggest mess of my life. A mess that I don't think I'll ever be able to clean up…
