Alfred took off his glasses and rubbed his eyes. He sighed, waiting for the work to finish itself. His paperwork was due the following morning, if only he hasn't put it off so much. He decided to take a break. He got up and left his small house for his car. As he was driving he thought. After losing his girlfriend, his money, and his self-esteem, things have been pretty low for America. He sighed as he arrived at his destination. The cold air happily buzzing at his face, he walked into his favorite bar. Soft music playing, and the place smelling of alcohol and campfire wood, America sat down at the bar and ordered a few drinks. He could probably afford them. He took a drink. He saw, out of the corner of his eyes, that someone was walking toward him. He didn't want to be around anyone at all. He needed to be alone. Even though he's been completely alone for about a month or two, he wanted nothing to do with anyone. He was miserable. He looked over at the person walking toward him. It was Ukraine. He had absolutely no idea why she was here, and why no one else went with her. It's not safe for a busty woman like her to be at a bar alone. She sat down next to him. "Not looking so well, Alfred? What's wrong?" she told him, nudging his shoulder. "I really am fine, Ukraine. Thank you for worrying though," he said, very unsure. She wouldn't buy it. "I haven't seen you in months, what happened to our nights together? You know, just you and me, talking and drinking all night with Belarus and Switzerland? Those were the days… I haven't seen you in two months and you look sick. What's wrong?" she persisted. "I'm going through some financial troubles, my girlfriend left me, and now all I have left to do is work, sleep, and eat. I'm not who I used to be and I'm falling apart," he took a drink. "I don't know what to do." America always felt like he could talk to Ukraine once he warmed up to her. She was very pretty, and for some reason he was never attracted to her for her breasts. He loved boobs, but he was never attracted to Ukraine's, and that's what made her so interesting. He liked her more for how she acts and what she talks about. "That's terrible. Maybe I can help sometime?" her eyes suddenly lit up. "Ah! I know! Stand in front of me…" she said, standing up off the stool. America rolled his eyes and stood up in front of her. She would always make him do insane things to make him laugh. But this time it was different, he could feel it. "Open your arms," she said, smiling. He smiled and opened his arms wide. "What am I doing, Ukraine," America said. Ukraine did the same, grabbing his hands with hers and smiling. "This will make you feel much better." She moved her arms back and forth, in rhythm to the music. America smiled instantly. He never realized how much he loved this song. He moved his arms along with Ukraine, moving his feet as well. They both smiled as they danced and danced around the empty floor. America twirled Ukraine around fast, her long skirt flowing out like an umbrella. They laughed together, and America realized something. He had been missing out. He wished he could've met up with Ukraine sooner. As the song ended, he grabbed her and held her in a huge hug. "Thank you, Ukraine," he said. Ukraine smiled.
