Of plot bunnies with Kol dead
AN : Just a conversation I got with a friend of mine. Our theories on the following stories in TVD – and venting out over the death of a beloved character.
A tribute to the TVD writers – who got us fans rooting for ships and characters with them giving us like ten seconds worth of action to feed the flame.
Hanna7867 - OMG ! They killed off Kol ! Kol's dead ! Come on, TVD writers, what's wrong with you ?
KolAwesomeness101 - Don't you worry. Kol dead is just another plot bunny.
Hanna7867 – No, that's awful ! Elena, Jer', were are all your goody vibes gone ? Killing Kol ? He was that playful, mischievous, hot guy...Plus that speech on how people lost faith and sense of what they should fear (Awesome!) ...and we didn't get any Kennett romance on (it's dreams-only now...). :(:(:(
KolAwesomeness101 - Everything happens for a reason on TVD. Kol dead is just one more thing like that, narratively speaking.

KolAwesomeness101 Believe it or not, but Kol was the only one keen on NOT going after the cure. See ?

KolAwesomeness101 – So, now, the coast is clear for them FINDING the cure. And having said that, GETTING to Silas. Besides, we're only half season, aren't we ?
Hanna7867 -What's your point ?
KolAwesomeness101 - My point is...I think we haven't seen the last of that just yet ;) As for the cure, they managed to get themselves in a bind with Klaus and another deadline. They will find it, hopefully in time, and unleash Silas. The latter will go for hell on earth and our lovely heroes will be forced into an even unlikelier alliance with the Originals to defeat their new powerful enemy.
Hanna7867 – Nice drift. But about Kol ?
KolAwesomeness101 – Hannah darling, Silas raises the dead. And besides, how many people do they have on the Other side ? And we don't know the mystery behind Young's mass suicide yet. The Other side has a part to play in this...we still got to see it.

KolAwesomeness101 – Yes. They have Pastor Young, Alaric, Bonnie's grams – who was alluded to by Shane, not long ago – everything points to an Other Side revolution, I'm telling you.
Hanna7867 – I see you've thought about this stuff.
KolAwesomeness101 – The moment they killed Kol. I mean, how easy was that kill ? It's Kol, I mean. On the one hand, it's kinda awesome they grew a backbone to stand up for themselves, but on the other hand,...They had to form teams to get to Finn. And Finn wanted to die. All they needed here was vervain in the water supply and a stake conveniently on Kol ? I'm telling you, THIS has something to do with what's coming for them all.
Hanna7867 – Or not. And now, they have Klaus bent on revenge, too.
KolAwesomeness101 - Yeah, we're only past half season. There's no way the remainder of this season's episodes only covers four days tops. Something big is going to happen with the cure. I feel it in the water. I feel it in the earth. I smell it in the air. Much that once was is lost.
