A large ship rose from the depths of the ocean. It followed the cores of the ocean, into the maelstrom. A human dove under, trying to avoid being hit. A mermaid on a nearby rock watched in horror as the love of her life dove under the vicious water.

"Eric!" she called.

The sea witch, Ursula, heard this. She turned towards the voice and saw her. She aimed the, newly stolen, trident and aimed. A bolt of energy struck the rock that Ariel had been sitting on. Ariel jumped before the energy struck and tumbled into the maelstrom. The floor of the ocean was bare, the water rushing around it. Ariel lay in the middle, in clear view. Around her, the water swirled. A large flat rock sat near her, covered by a formation. But no way of escape. Ariel was trapped.

Ursula laughed, "This is way love gets you, princess! Enjoy oblivion1" she took aim again and fired. Ariel hopped to the side, barley missing the blast. With each blast, Ariel barley moved out of the way in time. She couldn't keep this up for much longer.

Eric, I hope you're safe. Ariel thought. She watched as Ursula took aim again. The blast caused Ariel to back up into the rocks behind her; she struck the back of her head against the rock hard. Another blast hit them, causing them to fall on top of Ariel. Ariel was pined between the flat rock and several large ones.

Eric stood behind the helm of the ship he dodged. He watched as Ariel was buried under several rocks. He steered the ship. Hang on Ariel!

Ursula laughed as Ariel tried to regain consciousness. She raised the trident above her head, "So much for true love!"

Eric steered the ship right at Ursula. Ursula turned in time to see the ship ram itself into her stomach. Ursula gasped and collapsed onto the ship. Her tentacles clung to it for life. The ship sunk under the pressure and the collapse of Ursula.

Eric jumped off the ship and dove into the water. The maelstrom collapsed. The force threw the rocks off of Ariel. She spun with the water as it regained its rhythm. Her hand reached out, trying to grasp something to steady herself. Her hand grasped something; she opened her eyes to see Eric! Eric looked at Ariel in relief. He began reaching his other hand to her, but another wave broke them apart.

Ariel was forces towards the ocean, while Eric was forced towards the shore. He surfaced and crawled onto the shore. Ariel grabbed a hold of a nearby rock and pulled herself onto it. She lay down and tried to recover.

The sea calmed itself as the trident returned to King Triton. He surface, looking for Ariel. He found her on the rock, starring at Eric. He noticed the marks on her back, from the rocks. He sighed deeply and looked at Sebastian.

"She really does love him, doesn't she Sebastian?" he asked.

Sebastian nodded, "Well, it's like I always say sir, children ought to be free to lead their own life."

"You, always say that?" King Triton asked.

Sebastian laughed a shrugged.

Triton sighed again, "Then I guess there just one problem left."

"And what's that your majesty?" Sebastian asked.

"How much I'm going to miss her." He answered.

Ariel starred at the shore. She watched as Eric regained consciousness. She sighed, I'm sorry this happened. A bright light caught her attention. She looked at the water, and then at her father with a wide smile.

Eric sat up. He couldn't help but feel sad. Ariel had been within his grasp again, and she was taken form him. Something rose from the ocean. Eric looked up at see Ariel surfacing. Eric stood and raced to Ariel. He lifted her and swung her around. Ariel smiled wildly. Eric kissed Ariel passionately.

"I thought I lost you again." Eric said.

Ariel looked into his eyes, "You'll never lose me again. I promise." She kissed Eric again.
