The fear was almost too much to take. I could see that the Telmarines outnumbered us and I knew that I needed to retreat. I found that I could not breathe. Everything around me seemed to be going in slow motion. Overwhelming fear consumed me as I watched my fellow knights fall at the hands of the Telmarine soldiers.
As much as I wanted to win this battle, I knew we could not. My family was out there and too many innocent lives were already lost. I called for everyone to retreat when I was finally able to breathe again.
