All right…I think I'm going to make a little ficlet series out of my Morgaine/Lancelot one-shots. As it progresses the other knights will make an appearance and I'll try to tie it more into the movie somehow. This comes after Never Touching. Hope you like this one!
Disclaimer: Certainly don't own the characters...

An arm around her waist, breath in her hair. Her steps did not falter as she kept walking. It seemed to her that she was always walking away. She felt his hand slip away and she let out a sigh. Sometimes she wished that she could stop.
"Morgaine…"
Always calling, he was always calling out to her and she always ignored it. She was beginning to get tired of it. Perhaps it was time to end it. End the wanting and the walking and the waiting.
The hall was empty save for them. Turning she allowed herself to smile. He frowned at her in confusion.
"Lancelot, I am done with this." Crossing the space between them she reached for him and he caught her. Tilting her head up she received his kiss. For once she did not think of how it was improper. For once she did not think of her brother and his disapproval. For once she allowed herself to do what she wanted.
There was no more wanting and walking and waiting. She was taking instead.
The sound of someone clearing their throat reached them and Morgaine leapt back, smoothing her dress.
"Arthur," she bowed to him slightly.
"Morgaine, Lancelot." He looked at the two of them then motioned for her, "I need to speak with you."
Reluctantly she followed, all the while aware of Lancelot's eyes on her retreating form.
"Whatever possessed you to do such a thing?" he hissed, his fingers bit painfully into her arm. "Whatever possessed you Morgaine, we have discussed this and I thought that you understood."
She refused to meet his eyes. "I did understand Arthur, I do understand."
"Then why?"
"Because I love him."
Her brother sighed and released her, looking up as if asking his God for guidance. "Morgaine, you know that this cannot be."
"I know brother."
"Then you will end this once and for all?"
"I will." As much as she loved Lancelot she respected her half-brother...and he was king.
He looked down at her and she saw the pity and the pain in his eyes. She knew that he did not wish for her to be unhappy that he only wanted what was best for her. That he thought that he was doing the right thing.
"I'm sorry," he said at last.
Hugging him tightly she attempted a smile. "It is all right Arthur."
She found Lancelot waiting for her. Taking in a deep breath she approached him. "This is ending now," she stated calmly, clearly. "Whatever we have it must be forgotten."
Staring at her stony faced for a moment he took in the set of her chin, the straightness of her back, and the fire in her eyes. "You truly mean it?"
"Yes." Her answer was sharp and she saw his jaw tighten.
"As you wish Lady." He bowed to her stiffly, turning on heel he walked away without looking back.
This time he was the one walking. Except he was no longer waiting.
