He couldnt believe it. "This isnt happening we are only friends. I dont love her, " James thought out lound as he sat in a clearing in the Forbidden Forest. A tiny voice in his head said 'You do love her you! You have loved her these past 6 years but you never wanted to admit it!' He thought it over. Its seemed right. They always went to dances together and they went to Hogsmead together a couple of times. She was sweet and different from other girls, thats why she was his friend. She didnt agree with every word word he said or hang out with him just because he was popular like all of the other girls." I have to tell her how I feel." James decided. Weeks went by and he just couldnt find the right time to tell her how he felt. Then in December during the first day of break he discovered that Lily and him would be the only Gryffindor 7th years staying there. So the day before Christmas Eve when they were outside talking he decided to tell her now.
"I have something to tell you. I-- I-- I love you Lily." James stuttered.
"Ohh James I do know what to-- I dont like you-- we're just friends." Lily said shocked. She turned around and ran away. He tried to talk to her a Christmas break but he couldnt so everyone came back and life was different for James. Lily started dating this Ravenclaw and hanging out with them less. His friends noticed something was really wrong but James wouldnt tell him. She was on his mind all the time and he knew he had to show her how much he loved her. He had to make her love him.
