As Draco peered over the top of his book and out the window, he noticed the sun wasn't out yet. The sky looked ugly and empty. He heard something clunking down the stairway and looked to his right to see a fuzzy red blanket with a mess of disheveled brown hair sticking out the top and feet sticking out the bottom. It was descending the carpeted staircase and making its way into the living room.
"Good morning, sunshine," Draco exclaimed in a sarcastic, yet cheerful, voice.
"Hmuphr," the bundle muttered. It trudged across the tan carpet, surprisingly avoiding running into the coffee table, and sat down next to Draco on the couch. Draco stared for a minute, wondering what the character inside the blanket was going to do next. After getting no answer to his wondering, he took to skimming the pages of his book again. His lover could get ornery in the mornings, and it was certainly better off to let the him do whatever he desired to do.
A hand began to emerge from under the blanket, and it snatched the worn book from Draco's hands. As it set the book down behind itself, the figure leaned down to rest on Draco's lap. Draco took a cautious hand and started to pull the corner of the blanket off of his boyfriend's face. A, still very tired, eye peeked out and from the way the corners of the eye were turned up, Draco could tell Harry was smiling lazily. He peeled the rest of the blanket off of Harry's head and stared down at the man. His face was beautiful. Beautiful green eyes, perfectly pointed nose, amazingly shaped lips.
Draco began to smooth the dark hair down on the other man's head. Harry's eyelids began to droop a little, and, after a few minutes, drifted shut. The blonde-haired man leaned down, gave Harry a gentle kiss on the forehead, grabbed the book, and began to read again.
As Draco looked over his book and out the window, he noticed the sun had risen just barely over the horizon. It created a beautiful orange and golden glow in the skies. The glow projected through the window and shone onto Harry's face accentuating his features. Draco smiled and kept on reading.
