Lauren & Joey- world spins madly on
Part one
Lauren lay on the sofa gently closing her eyes as she took small steady breathes waiting for the cramps to stop,
"Any better babe?" Joey asks entering the room and placing water onto the table,
"Slowly easing. I spoke to Peter before you ask and no he still ain't coming home!" Joey shakes his head before placing a reassuring smile onto his face,
"Maybe once the baby is born he'll realise that nothing is worth being apart!" Lauren shrugs unsure of what the future held for her and Peter but knowing how fractured things were becoming she knew that she couldn't be like her parents. Joey knowing how much she fretted on not making the same mistakes as her parents was constantly reassuring her that she was already becoming an excellent mother! Joey and Lauren over the last few months have slowly begun rekindling old feelings yet they were both more mature and focus than ever before. Lauren takes hold of joeys hand and squeezes it slightly,
"Joe I know that this is complicated for you having a girlfriend whose pregnant with her exes baby. But we can move past this can't we?" She asks suddenly afraid of pushing Joey too far this time and being left to face parenthood alone,
"Babe I could never leave you hey! Lauren Branning you'll always be more than just a girlfriend to me!" Joey says making Lauren smile relieved as tears fall down her cheeks making him wipe them gently away,
"Look at you hey right mess ain't ya?!" Lauren smirks slightly embarrassed by her out of control hormones! As she slowly sits herself up her bump wobbling as she does so,
"Joey I want you to take me to my appointment now?" Lauren asks grinning making Joey know that all was well again as he carefully lifts her off the sofa as they walk to the car.
Lauren hated hospital waiting rooms as ever since her mum was ill that's all Lauren could think about when she was in them,
"Babe you no need to be nervous. I'm right here Lauren!" Joey says taking her trembling hands into his making her smile touched by his caring for her feelings,
"It's not nerves. I just don't like hospital waiting rooms ok?"
"Uh why?"
"I relate them to when my mum was you know Ill" Joey nods understanding how hard that must of been for her and knowing he shouldn't push the subject further he continues reading the magazine. Lauren once in the room itself was calmer as she lifts her top up slowly as Joey holds her hand as they are amazed by the images on the screen as they always are Joey knowing that Peter should be here apart of this! Lauren gazes out the car window as Joey drives back home,
"You going to Skype Peter?"
"Yeah. Tomorrow morning I will right now I'm feeling drained out"
"Long day huh?"
"Yeah especially when your a size of a house!"
"You look really beautiful babe. I mean it Lauren your looking amazing!" Lauren beams with pride as she rubs her belly when they both freeze in surprise to see Abi at their door,
"How did she find me?" Lauren asks not looking for a response as she gets out the car,
"Hey Sis long time!"
