The Talk

"Who would you say is the woman in this relationship?"

Teddy didn't even look up from the comic in his hands. "We're not having this discussion, Billy."

His boyfriend slinked over and landed gracefully beside him. "Why not?" He pushed down the comic, forcing Teddy to make eye contact.

"Because it's an offensive stereotype- we can both be men in the relationship, and, in case you hadn't noticed, we are." Billy rolled his eyes but let his lover go back to the book in his hands. "And, besides, we both know it's you."

Billy pivoted. "What? You're the shape shifter!"

"So?"

"So, you could make yourself female!"

"But I don't- whereas you wear pink."

"It's red!"

"Uh-huh, "faded" red." His boyfriend sat down beside him and gave him a little shove. Teddy retaliated, pinning Billy to the sofa, a wicked look in his eye. "And you have that weird dress thing."

"It's a cape!"

"A pink cape." He planted a kiss on his boyfriend's neck. "Also, I'm stronger. Thus, you are the girl."

Billy paused for a second, then reached up, pulled Teddy down for a kiss and said, "okay."

Teddy sat up and gave his lover a suspicious look. "You're okay with that?"

"Uh huh." He stood up, stretched and was just leaving when he said, "But that does mean you have to pay for everything."

Teddy rushed after his boyfriend. "Now that you mention it, I am a shapeshifter…"
