Disclaimer: I do not own Spiderman in any way shape or form and I'm not getting any money from this (I wish!)

Happy Belated Halloween! This little idea just popped into my head when I saw a kid dressed up as Spiderman.

Mabel Jones lived in a small house in the middle of New York. She loved the hustle and bustle of the city. Fifty years had she lived there and despite the crime, she would never leave it. Then again thanks to the Spiderman fellow the crime rate had gone down. It was Halloween night and her entire house looked haunted. Mabel herself was dressed as a witch. Mabel had always enjoyed Halloween; seeing all the kids in costumes, watching the tired parents walk laden down with bags of candy. Yes it sure was enjoyable. The door bell rang again and voices chorused out "trick or treat!"

Mabel threw open the door, and gave each child a handful of treats.

"Lets see," she cackles, "here some for the fairy – what beautiful wings you have – my what a scary ghost you are. And look! It's Spiderman! "

The mother of "Spiderman" smiles and murmurs, "he's just in love with him, Spiderman really gives those kids someone to look up to doesn't he."

Not too far off Peter Parker is swinging away from his latest escapade – saving a house from being egged. It sure was a quite night for crime. He had spent most of the night looking at kids in costumes and not stopping criminals. But he had a small problem, and his house was on the other side of the city. Peter sighed and swung down in front of a small house, decorated with many coffins, pumpkins, and ironically fake spider webs.

Mabel started at the sound of her doorbell and reached automatically for the treat bowl, heading to the front entrance. She opened the door to see not a young child but a tall young man, dressed in a Spiderman suit.

She looked at him quizzically, "Aren't you just a little old for this? I don't give candy to people your age, sorry young man." She gives his attire a once over. "Though, your costume is one of the best I have ever seen."

The youth looks embarrassed and shifts his weight. "I um, was wondering if I could," he hesitates for a second, "use your washroom, if it's not too much trouble?"

"Even Spiderman needs washroom breaks I guess," Mabel smiles at her joke, "go ahead. It's the first door on the left".

The young man grinned and followed her finger to the bathroom.

A few minutes later he emerged, murmured a thank you and headed for the door. Mabel smiled and handed him a large chocolate bar.

"Happy Halloween, sir."

"Same to you." he seemed to smile behind his mask. His head shot up suddenly at the sound of a siren.

"Goodbye," he called, rising into the air on a strand of webbing.

Mabel watched in amazement as he shot webbing into a building and was gone, swinging into the night.

"Thank you," she yelled as he faded away, and she thought she saw a wave before he disappeared.

"Who would have thought?"
