Stop That Time
Zack's eyes snapped into focus. It was raining. And he was in pain.
'Where am I? What's happened?'
He heard a strange noise coming from his far right. Like someone trying to crawl through the mud. It was getting closer. Then Cloud's face came into his vision.
"Z-Zack?"
'Oh. Now I remember'
Stop that time for me and my lover, so we are together forever in love
Despite his condition, Zack could hardly contain his joy. Cloud was alive.
But something wasn't right with his Cloud. There was something strange in his eyes. Was that - fear?
'No please don't. I can't leave him this way'
Zack new he should say something to settle those fears. But, really, what could he say?
"For the . . . both of us."
'What am I saying?'
"Both of us?"

Zack struggled to talk. But he continued for Cloud's sake
"That's right. You're gonna . . . live "
'Why can't I just say it?'
He pulled Cloud to his chest. Wishing he didn't have to go. Wishing they could just stay that way. But when Cloud pulled away his face was covered in blood.
"You'll be . . . my living legacy"

Cloud seemed to understand. So with what little energy he had left, Zack lifted his sword and gave it to Cloud.
"My honour and dreams . . . are yours now"
'Please just let me say it'
The moment those words left his mouth Zack new it was time to go. He couldn't fight it any longer.
