Are we sitting comfortably? Good! Then, I'll begin! Some background on this one - this is actually an alternate ending to Omega Ultra's story 'Solemn Wishes', so please read that before you read this one. Since Omega is a huge Yu-Gi-Oh! fan, I figured...'why not have Star duel to get Marco back?' That's where this alternate ending comes in. As always, this is just fanwork, so please cool your jets. And...WE'RE ROLLING!
Star's quest to bring Marco back has brought her in the lair of Ethioth and Azzathoth. A few days ago Ethioth had sent her away. But now, Star has returned to the inter-dimension, and this time she's got Marco's Duel Disk ready. "Ethioth! Azzathoth! I'm ready to make a deal!" she declared as she approached the two dark beings.
"Stardust, I predicted you'd come back. After all, we fated you to do so." Ethioth spoke, "So humor us. Why have you come?"
"I want Marco back more than anything." she began as she raised Marco's Duel Disk and shoved her deck in the receiver. "And I have come to get him! I challenge both of you to a duel. If I win, you must order the guardians of life and death and of heaven and hell to bring Marco back."
Ethioth and Azzathoth turned to each other and simultaneously laughed, "Star, we are the guardians of fate, both good and bad! You have no power over us!" Azzathoth states. "Then you should have no problem beating me in a duel." Star responded with determination in her voice.
"Haha, why not. We'll humor your deal and battle you." Ethioth went, "We'll inform the guardians of heaven and hell of your request, but only if you defeat us. After all, those who are able to defy fate change reality."
A shadowy field appeared in front of the two twisted entities. Azzathoth continued for Ethioth, "But if you lose, your soul will join your friend's. Do you accept, Princess Butterfly?"
Star put on a determined expression and declared, "Losing's not my plan. I will win and I will get Marco back!" she beamed as her duel disk swings into action, while the shadows in front of the entities began to glow with white outlines.
"The field is set, let us begin." Azzathoth declared.
"First, you must choose a monster to serve as your Deck Master, my princess." Ethioth continued, "I shall choose Edea the Heavenly Squire as my Deck Master!"
Azzathoth continued, "And I shall choose Eidos, the Underworld Squire!"
"Et tu, Madame Butterfly?" Ethioth asked.
"It's a no-brainer..." Star says as she pulled out a single card and revealed it. "I choose the Dark Magician!" Then she played the card, causing the purple cape-clad wizard to appear beside her. "You have my word as your Deck Master that I will serve you well." the Magician spoke. 'Cool! He talks!' Star thought. "I assure you, we will defeat our opponents."
"LET'S DUEL!"

"Challenger always goes first." Ethioth went.
"With pleasure!", Star declared as she drew her card. "I play Pot of Greed, letting me draw twice!" she beamed as she drew her 2 cards. "I play my spell Melody of Awakening Dragon!" she exclaimed. "By discarding White Stone of Legend, I can add any Dragon to my hand, so long as its attack is 3000 or more and its defense is 2500 or less! I'll add a Blue-Eyes White Dragon to my hand, but that's not all! With it I can add another Dragon to my hand and I'll choose Blue-Eyes Alternative White Dragon!", she declared as she added the 2 Dragons to her hand. "Also, thanks to White Stone's effect, I can add another Blue-Eyes to my hand!", she shouted. "Next, by revealing a Blue-Eyes White Dragon in my hand, I can summon Blue-Eyes Alternate Dragon!"
Star placed the card on her Duel Disk and a silver-scaled version of Blue-Eyes White Dragon appeared.

"Next, I summon The White Stone of the Ancients!", she said as a shining white stone took the field.

Now I think I'll Synchro Summon! I tune my Level 8 Alternate Dragon with my Level 1 White Stone of Ancients to Synchro Summon BLUE-EYES SPIRIT DRAGON!"
The monsters disappeared as stars and green Synchro rings and in their place came a ghostly version of the Blue-Eyes White Dragon.

"I'll play 2 cards face-down and end my turn. During the End Phase, I can use White Stone of Ancients' effect to summon the Dragon Spirit of White!"
A 2nd dragon spirit descended upon the field and took its place next to Blue-Eyes Spirit Dragon.

Then holographic images of Star's facedown cards appeared behind her dragon as Star ended her turn. Ethioth was up next.
"Haha, just as I have planned. It seems you cannot defy fate after all." Ethoith taunted as he drew his card. "I shall play Monarchs Stormforth! This Spell lets me tribute one of your monsters as if it was my own!"
"Guess again! I reveal Magic Jammer!" Star declared as the card flipped face up. "By discarding one of my cards, I can negate and destroy your Monarchs Stormforth! You're not touching my monsters!" Star then discarded a blue-eyes white dragon.
With Stormforth now out of play, Ethioth just chuckled, "You are so predictable. You took that bait just as I expected you to. Now I'll activate March of the Monarchs! You'll know its effect in due time just as you will many things. Now begins my turn. I summon Edea the Heavenly Squire in Attack Mode!" he declared as a woman in a gold dress appeared.

"When I summon her, I can summon another Squire or Vassal from my deck, so long as they have 800 ATK and 1000 DEF. And I think I'll choose Eidos the Underworld Squire!"

"I'll combine the souls of both of my monsters in order to summon Thestalos the Mega Monarch!", Ethioth declared as the squires vanished. In their place came an upgraded version of the Firestorm Monarch...THESTALOS.

"Now for his effect. I can choose a card in either your hand or in my teammate's and discard it. If that card is a monster, you take damage equal to that monster's level times 200 points. And I think I'll discard the card on the right from your hand, Stardust."

"Now my Mega Firestorm Monarch, destroy her White Spirit Dragon!", Ethioth declared as Thestalos launched a firestorm at White Spirit Dragon, destroying it.

"I shall end my turn with that. Azzathoth, continue as planned."
"My draw!" Azzathoth shouted. Her opening hand was the same, except she had Eidos the Underworld Squire and cost down instead of Edea and March of the Monarchs. "I will summon Edios the Underworld Squire in Attack Mode!", she declared.

"Next I'll activate cost down! and use its effect lowering the level of my monsters by two! This allows me to sacrifice Edios for my now level 6 for Mobius the Mega Monarch!", Azzathoth declared as the Squire was replaced by the Frost Monarch's upgraded form...MOBIUS THE MEGA MONARCH.

"Once the Mega Frost Monarch takes the field, he spears your backrow!" Azzathoth declared as Star's remaining face-down card was destroyed with icicle spears. "Mobius, take out Blue-Eyes Spirit Dragon!" she commanded. Within seconds, the Blue-Eyes Spirit Dragon was impaled and destroyed.

"I shall end my turn with that. Your turn, princess." Azzathoth declared.
"I draw" Star declared as she drew her next card. "And I'll start by using my Gospel of Revival Spell to summon Blue-Eyes White Dragon! Next, I'll banish White Stone of Ancients to add Blue-Eyes Alternate Dragon to my hand! And I'll waste no time in summoning it using the final Blue-Eyes White dragon in my hand!" she explained as both dragons appeared on her field. "Now, I'll overlay my Dragons! With these 2 monsters, I build the Overlay Network to summon... Number 107! Galaxy-Eyes Tachyon dragon!"

Then Star pulled another card out and declared, "I'm not done yet! Using its ability I can use it as overlay material to summon Galaxy-Eyes Full Armor Photon Dragon!"

"And I'll use its ability to destroy one of your monarchs! Galaxy-Eyes Destroy Thestalos!"
The monster attacked, only for it to be stopped by March Of the Monarchs. "What's going on?!"
"Haha!" Ethioth went, "March of the Monarchs protects my tribute summoned monsters from targeting and destruction from card effects! Like I have said princess, we have already decided who would win this duel!"
"I'll continue by using Full Armor as material to summon NUMBER 95: GALAXY EYES DARK MATTER DRAGON!"
The Dragon vanished into a portal and in its place came a dark, menacing dragon with multiple claws, ready to kill.

"Now for his effect! I'll send Chaos MAX Dragon, White Stone of Ancients and Blue-Eyes Alternate Dragon, forcing you to banish 3 monsters from your decks! Now, I detach an Overlay Unit to use his other effect, letting him attack twice!", she explained. "Dark Matter Dragon strike down their monarchs!", Star declared as Dark Matter Dragon's claws slashed the Mega Monarchs, destroying them.
Ethioth and Azzathoth: 5600
"I'll conclude by banishing White Stone of Ancients to summon Dragon Spirit of White! And with his arrival, your March of the Monarchs is outta here!", Star declared. "That ends my turn.
"Pathetic!", Ethioth declared as he drew. "You were not even worth my time. So I think I'll summon my Squires again.", he said as he banished Eidos, allowing him to revive Edea and summon another Eidos through her effect. "Now, I'll sacrifice them to summon out Raiza the Mega Monarch!"

"Raiza's effect allows me to send Dark Matter Dragon right back to your deck!" he declared. "Now my Mega Storm Monarch! ATTACK STAR DIRECTLY WITH STORM SURGE!" Ethioth commanded as Raiza launched hurricane force winds at Star, knocking her back.

"I'll end my turn with that."
"And my turn shall begin with it!" Azzathoth declared as she drew. "Your move interested me, Ethioth, I think I'll follow suit. I think I'll imitate it. I summon Edea the Heavenly Squire and use her effect! Next, I'll sacrifice the Squires for Granmarg the Mega Monarch! And since there are no targets, its effect won't activate."

"Now Granmarg! ATTACK WITH EARTHQUAKE CRUNCH!"

"Your fate is sealed princess, I end my turn."
'What can I do? They have 2 super powerful monsters on the field and I only have 200 points left! It just seems so hopeless.'
Star could feel her deck move away from her approaching hand.
"The deck… it senses my doubt."
The mainly silent Dark Magician finally spoke up. "Don't lose focus, Star! Don't lose faith! Stay determined, remember, you're doing this for Marco!"
"You're right." Star whispered, "I can't give up yet."
Her next card began to glow with power, "The only way defeat the guardians of fate it to defy fate itself!"
"Draw your last card so we can end this Stardust. You are fated to lose, give up!" Ethitoth taunted.
"I won't give up! My deck has no pathetic cards, nor is it bound to your fate! The card I drew is CARD OF DEMISE! This allows me to draw 5 new cards, as long as I discard my hand in 5 turns! Next, I play Dragon's Mirror! I fuse the White Spirit Dragon on my field with the 3 Blue-Eyes White Dragons and Blue-Eyes Spirit Dragon in my Graveyard to summon... the FIVE-HEADED DRAGON!"

"Next Dark Magician's Deck Master Ability activates! Allowing me to return all five of them to Graveyard! This allows me to activate another Dragon's Mirror!" Star banished the three Blue-Eyes White Dragon cards from her Graveyard, only for the Dark Magician to return them.
"I summon...Neo Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon!"

"When Five-Headed Dragon appears, your entire field gets cleared out!", she declared as Five-Headed Dragon and Neo Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon roared away the entities' field. "Five-Headed Dragon and Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon...ATTACK DIRECTLY!" Star commanded as her dragons launched a fire stream at Ethioth and Azzathoth.

"This duel's done, thanks to the next Spell in my hand...DE-FUSION! This splits my Neo Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon back into the 3 separate Blue-Eyes White Dragons used to summon it, each with 3000 Attack Points!" Star proceeded to shove the spell into the open slot, splitting Neo Dragon into three Blue-Eyes White Dragons.
"How… can this be?" Ethioth mutters.
"Ethioth, she has passed." Azzathoth whispers.
"Dragons... ATTACK! WIPE THEM OUT WITH BURST STREAM OF DESTRUCTION!" Star shouted as her dragons attacked, ending the duel.
Ethioth and Azzathoth: 0 LP
Star: WIN!
With the duel over, it was time for Star to claim her reward.
"Ethioth, Azzathoth... I won. I held up my end of the bargain. Now it's time for you to do the same."
"Very well. We will inform the guardians of heaven and hell of your request." Ethioth said.
"They're unlike any mystic beings you've seen, Star...that includes the guardians of the living and dead. But knowing them, I'm sure they'll be happy to help you princess. Soon, you'll have your intended back." Azzathoth said to Star, lowering herself to Star's eye level as she spoke to her, "After all, those who are able to defy fate have earned their reward."
Star couldn't believe it...she was about to get Marco, her man, the father of her child, back! What a story she and Marco will have to tell their child when this was all over! First thing's first...get Marco back and Star was mere minutes away from doing just that. Or so she thought.
Once in the domain of the guardians of heaven and hell, Star was in for a big surprise. The guardian of heaven, Aither, was tall and seemed benevolent, with a gold cloak draped over her. In contrast, Erebus, the Guardian of Hell, was dark and intimidating, draped with a dark cloak.
"Ah, Stardust Rainbow Butterfly. We had a feeling you'd come here." Erebus spoke, "And frankly, if we had received your request from anywhere else, we would be stomping on you right now."
Aither continued. "We aren't any more reasonable than the guardians of life and death, but because we were asked to do so by fate, we shall."
"Oh, thank you so much!", Star exclaimed.
"Of course, there's a price to pay... There is a price for everything." Erebus told Star.
Star immediately responded with, "What's the cost?! I'll pay anything."
Aither answered, "You must beat Erebus and I in a duel. If you can, we'll bring Marco back. If you fail, not only will his soul remain in bondage, but you'll suffer a terrible miscarriage before joining him!"
"That's a risk I'm willing to take...GAME ON!"
Unlike with Ethioth and Azzathoth, Aither and Erebus conjured duel disks on their arms.
Then the disks swung into action.
"FOR MARCO!"
"LET'S DUEL!"

"Just like when I dueled Azzathoth and Ethioth, I'll start this battle.", Star declared.
However, before she could draw her first cards, her deck was glowing. It seemed as if something or someone was trying to sabotage her deck. It stopped with a bright flash, causing Star to flinch.
"Well, begin Mortal. Begin the end of reality as you know it."
"I will!" Her deck had stopped glowing and she was able to begin her turn. "I DRAW!", she exclaimed as she drew her card. Her deck was no longer comprised of Blue-Eyes White Dragons. It was now centered around the nemesis of Blue-Eyes, the Dark Magician.
'What the heck just happened?'
"I'll begin by activating Dark Magic Circle! This Spell lets me add a Dark Magical creature to my hand! I think I'll add my favorite monster... THE DARK MAGICIAN!", she shouted as the card was transported to her hand. "Next, I summon Gazelle The King of Mythical Beasts in Defense Mode!", she declared as a horned gazelle took the field.

"I'll also play DOUBLE SUMMON! This lets me summon my OBNOXIOUS CELTIC GUARDIAN in Defense Mode!"

"I'll then play CARD OF SANCTITY! This forces us all to draw until we're holding 6 cards!", she beamed as they resolved the effect. "I'll play 4 cards face down and end my turn for now."
"My move then.", Aither said as he drew. "I'll begin with the Field Spell - Domain of the True Monarchs. When I have no cards in my Extra Deck and I'm the only one that controls a Tribute Summoned monster, this card prevents you from summoning from your Extra Deck. Also, when a Tribute Summoned monster I control attacks one of your monsters, it gains 800 points until the end of the turn. In addition, I can lower the level of one monster with 2800 ATK and 1000 DEF in my hand by 2 until the end of the turn.", he explained. "Next, I'll play my March of the Monarchs Spell Card! You've seen this already mortal! Now, I summon my squire, Edea, in Attack Mode!"

"But she won't be out for long, because I'll use my Domain's effect to lower one of my monster's level's by 2! Therefore, I only need to sacrifice my Squire to summon myself!", Aither declared as he stepped onto the field.

"Now I'll use my ability, by sending Prime Monarch and Pantheism of the Monarchs from my Deck to the Graveyard to summon my friend, Zaborg the Mega Monarch!" She shouted as a monster with blue and gold lightning armor appeared.

"Now I'll attack your Gazelle with my Shining Charge Beacon!" she declared as she raised her hand and fire a gold beam, firing it at Gazelle and destroying it. "I'm not done. Zaborg, attack and destroy her Celtic Guardian!"
"REVEAL TRAP! Go, Magician Navigation! This lets me summon a Dark Magician from my hand, then lets me summon another Level 7 or lower Spellcaster from my deck! I'll choose Magician of Dark Illusion!"

"I'll end my turn with that, Erebus, send this girl to the inferno."
"With that my Dark Magic Circle's effect activates!", Star declared.
"What? What can a puny mortal do against the king of thunder?"
"Whenever a Dark Magician is summoned, Dark Magic Circle activates, allowing me to banish your Zaborg!", Star said as the thunder monarch vanished.
"Pathetic," Erebus replied, "It's my move then. I draw." Erebus declared as he drew. "I think I'll duplicate my colleague's move and activate my own March and Dominion! Next, I'll summon my own squire, Eidos, only to sacrifice him for myself!"

"And my ability lets me send your Dark Magician back to your deck!" he said as he used his powers to return the Dark Magician to Star's deck. "Now I'll attack your Magician of Dark Illusion with my Underworld Wind!" he declared as dark winds engulfed Magician of Dark Illusion, destroying it.

"It's your turn, pathetic mortal."
"Back to me! I DRAW!", Star shouted. "I'll lay this monster face-down and activate HARPIE'S FEATHER DUSTER to clear the field of all your Spells and Traps!", she declared as a tornado appeared out of her Spell Card, destroying Aither and Erebus's Spells and Traps. "I'll end my turn with that."
"And starts mine.", Aither said as she drew. "I'll attack your face down monster!", Aither declared as she launched a gold beam from his palm right at Star's face down monster, revealing it to be a Cyber Jar.
"You did exactly what I wanted you to do! You've just attacked my CYBER JAR!"
"I see." Aither just took a few steps back signaling that she was destroyed, while Erebus just stead fast, not reacting.
"You know what attacking Cyber Jar means, don't you?"
"Of course, that's why I stepped back-"
"All monsters on the field are destroyed! No wonder Marco loved this card so much!" Star beamed as Cyber Jar self destructed, destroying all monsters in play. "Now thanks to the 2nd effect of Cyber Jar, we must each draw 5 cards and all Level 4 or lower monsters we pick up are instantly summoned to the field." she explained. "I summon 2 monsters - Sangan and Gamma the Magnet Warrior - both in Defense Mode! Now you must summon every monster that you've drawn!"
Aither and Erebus's hands contained all Monarchs and Spell/Trap Cards. No Level 4 or lower monsters to be had.
"We do not have a monster to summon from your Jar. I have to end my turn."
"My turn!" Erebus declared as he drew his card. It was another Monarch monster- Thestalos the Mega Monarch. He had no monsters in play and no facedown cards. "I shall just play 2 cards face-down and end my turn. Your move Mortal."
"Good. Then it's my turn! I'll sacrifice Sangan and Gamma the Magnet Warrior!", Star declared as both monsters vanished. "This activates Sangan's special ability, letting me add any monster with 1500 Attack Points or fewer into my hand! So, I'll take BIG SHIELD GARDNA!" she explained as she added the card to her hand. "Then, thanks to my sacrifice, I'll summon the DARK MAGICIAN! In Attack Mode!", she shouted as Dark Magician returned to the field. "Next, I play the Trap - ETERNAL SOUL! This lets me summon a Dark Magician or add a Dark Magic Spell Card once per turn! I think I'll summon DARK MAGICIAN GIRL from my deck!"

"And so what will they do?" Erebus nonchalantly asked.
"According to the records, these cards were the ace cards of the King of Games himself, Yugi Moto.", Star explained.
"We both activate the True Monarch's ability!" Aither declared, "by banishing Monarch Spells, we can defend our life points,"
"Grr." Star angrily went, "Then I'll activate Painful choice! This lets me take any 5 cards from my deck and reveal them! Then you pick one, that card is added to my hand, while the rest are sent to the Graveyard!" she explained as she reveals Obelisk the Tormentor, Slifer the Sky Dragon, The Winged Dragon of Ra, Giant Germ and Quick Attack. "We shall let you keep that Giant Germ, mortal." Erebus declared. 'Just the play I was waiting for', Star thought as she added Giant Germ to her hand.
Star was beaming with determination as she declared, "Next I play my Pot of Greed Spell, letting me draw twice!"
Her next cards were filled with power, "Shining draw!" she would draw into another Pot of Greed! "Well, what do you know? I drew another Pot of Greed! That's 2 more cards for me! Destiny Draw!"
She drew two more cards. "And I draw Card of Demise! And I'll play it! Go Chaos Draw!"
"I play Monster Reincarnation, so I discard this Giant Germ you gave me to add Ra back to my hand!"
"Now I play SOUL RELEASE! This will let me banish the 2 remaining Egyptian God Cards and three more monsters!"
"Now why would you banish your own cards?", Aither questioned. Erebus figured it out..."Unless..."
"Unless I have a card to bring them back. And it just so happens I do. I PLAY RETURN FROM THE DIFFERENT DIMENSION!", Star shouted.

"It's well worth half my Life Points to bring back two Egyptian God Monsters - a nice trick to know when you want to summon more than 1 monster in a turn. But that's not all... Next I'll play Double Summon, allowing me to tribute my newly brought back Giant Germ along with my Dark Magicians to summon this monster..."

" Finally, I'll sacrifice Slifer, Obelisk and Ra to summon the most powerful monster in this deck!" she declared as the Egyptian Gods vanished. In their place came a golden ray of light and a 10 foot tall god descended from that light.
"Well the mortal has pulled it off." Aither declared.
"Indeed I have! Marco's coming home with me! For I have summoned HORAKHTY, THE CREATOR GOD OF LIGHT!"

"Once Horakhty takes the field, the player responsible for the summoning automatically wins the duel! That means I've won not just this duel, but I've won my Marco back!", she said as all the holograms vanished.
"Very well, princess. You are an exceptional Duelist." Aither spoke with a hint of annoyance in her voice.
"And we are beings of our word." Erebus added. "Now please stand clear as we bring your beloved Marco back.", he warned as she brought Marco's lifeless body to the presence of Aither. "Aither, please do the honors.", Erebus said, turning to Aither.
"With pleasure, Erebus.", Aither declared as she recited an ancient incantation...

As Aither finished his spell, Marco's body glowed silver and gold as his spirit was returned to him. He twitched a bit, then opened his chocolate brown eyes for the first time since his final battle with Ludo's minions. His first words..."St-Star? Is that you?"
"It's really me, Marco.", Star confirmed.
"Wh-what happened?", Marco asked.
"You were killed in the final battle with Ludo. After that, I swore on the throne of Mewni that I'd find a way to bring you back. So, I first had to beat the guardians of time and space in a duel, which I did...then I had to beat the guardians of heaven and hell, which I just did, to get you back.", Star explained. "By the way, I'd like you to meet Aither, the guardian of heaven...and Erebus, the guardian of hell. Aither, Erebus...meet my boyfriend, Marco Diaz!", she introduced.
"Hello," Erebus began.
"A deal is a deal mortal. We will see you again one of these days." Aither finished.
Marco then turned to Star and noticed she was wearing his Duel Disk. "Star...are you wearing my Duel Disk?", he asked. "Yeah...I guess I am.", Star said, blushing.
"You mean...you dueled USING MY CARDS?", Marco questioned.
"Not exactly. I combined some of your deck with some of my deck to create a deck that represented our bond.", Star explained as she took off the Duel Disk and handed it back to Marco. "I believe this belongs to you, Marco."
"You and I are gonna have a little talk when we get home, Star.", Marco whispered to Star.
"Can we have it over a plate of your Super Awesome Nachos?", Star asked.
"I don't see why not.", Marco said, smiling. "Come on, Star. Let's go home."
"Farewell, my princess. Give our regards to your mother!", Aither said as Star and Marco walked out of sight.
"Will do, Aither!", Star exclaimed as she opened a portal back to Earth with her dimensional scissors. Star then drew a card from Marco's deck and summoned the monster - a Blue-Eyes White Dragon. "Blue-Eyes White Dragon...take us home, old friend.", Marco told his faithful dragon as he and Star climbed aboard. With a nod and a roar, Blue-Eyes flew into the dimensional portal as they departed Aither and Erebus's domain.
Within seconds, Star and Marco, now re-united, were back on Earth, much to the surprise of Angie and Rafael Diaz.
"No...Way!" Angie stuttered.
"Marco? Is that you, mijo?" Rafael asked.
"Yep. It's totally me! I'm back, baby!", he exclaimed in his best Kel Mitchell voice as his parents ran and hugged him. "Alright, mom and dad! That's more than enough. If you're asking how I was brought back, let me assure you that Star was behind this. She and I will answer all your questions soon, but right now...we just need to relax.", Marco explained as he and Star hooked arms. "Plus...I need to have a talk with Star about using my dueling deck! Now, if you'll excuse me, I have nachos to make.", he said as he dragged Star into the kitchen, his parents glad to have their son back.
"Star, listen...while I'm grateful that you never gave up and that you brought me back...I'm still a little peeved that you used my dueling deck.", Marco told Star.
"But you know why I did it, don't you, Marco?", Star asked.
"Yes, I do now. You did it for me and I'll be forever grateful that you did that. Next time, just ask if you can use my deck, okay?", Marco asked.
"Okay, Marco.", Star sighed as Marco went to his work. Half an hour later, 2 batches of his Super Awesome Nachos came out of the oven. However, before they could get to Star's room to enjoy Marco's creation, Star began to feel sick, on the verge of throwing up. "Hang on...I gotta use the bathroom, I feel like throwing up, Marco."
"Odd...that's the first time I've gotten that reaction to my nachos...from Star, no less.", Marco said to himself. "I wonder what's going on. I better go check on her.", he said as he ran to the bathroom to check on his girlfriend and knocked on the door. "Star? Star? You alright in there?", he asked worryingly as Star pulled him in. "Star, what's the meaning of this?", Marco asked. Star then handed him the pregnancy test she took the previous day. "Take a look, Marco.", Star told him.
Marco took a look at the pregnancy test - the result... Positive. He couldn't believe his eyes - Star was pregnant with his child! "You're not kidding, are you?", he asked.
"When it comes to you, I don't mess around." she said to Marco in a serious tone...with her serious face on.
"How far along are you?", Marco asked.
"Not far, just over 8 weeks. I think I'm due around Christmas." Star answered as she rolled up her dress, revealing her growing baby bump.
"Wow...I guess it really does take one time.", Marco said. "Well, whatever happens, I'm here for you, Star...and I'll never leave your side.", he whispered, kissing her. After a movie marathon in Star's room… that included all 7 'Fast and Furious' movies, Star and Marco decided to turn in for the night, sleeping in the same bed for the first time in what seemed like forever. Star and Marco snuggled up tight, assuring each other that they'd never let the other go again.
The following Saturday, Star, Marco and Angie paid a visit to Dr. Adam Douglas, Angie's OB/GYN, for Star's first ultrasound. Now that Marco was back and here to stay, everything should be fine for Star and Marco...at least, that's what Star is hoping for.
Dr. Douglas started off by asking routine questions, like how far along Star was, how she was feeling and how her breasts feel...kinda routine for an ultrasound. Then, the ultrasound cream was applied to Star's chest.
"Ooooh! Ooooh, it's cold!", Star shivered.
"Relax, Star. This is just so that the equipment can do its job.", Marco said, holding Star's hand.
In due time, a probe was placed on Star's chest and soon made its way across the area, projecting a picture on the computer monitor - a picture that showed that Star and Marco were expecting twins!
"Did you hear that, Marco? TWINS! IT'S TWINS!", Star exclaimed, hugging Marco.
"I heard! I heard! You're crushing me, Star!" Marco groaned as Star bear hugged him.
"Oops...sorry, Marco." Star giggled as she let Marco go, but not before kissing him. Dr. Douglas then told Star that cravings should start soon and that he wanted to see Star and Marco back for regular check-ups about every 8 weeks until the twins are born. With a nod, Star rolled down her dress and hopped off the exam table. Then, she, Marco and Angie walked out of the office. Angie wanted to drive Star and Marco had other plans.
"Mom, if you don't mind, Star and I want to celebrate this news." Marco told his mom.
"Alright...just don't do anything I wouldn't do!" Angie told Star and Marco with a broad smile.
"Moooom! You're embarrassing me!" Marco said with a blush as she drove off. He then activated his Duel Disk and drew just the monster he wanted. "Blue-Eyes White Dragon, I need you, buddy!", he called out as his ace monster and trusted dragon appeared with a roar. Blue-Eyes got down to Marco's level and licked Marco, glad to have his friend back. "Alright, Blue-Eyes! Heel, buddy, heel!" he said to his dragon as he and Star climbed aboard. "Oooh...where we goin', Marco?" Star asked.
"I figure I treat you tonight. Consider it a thank you for saving me and a way to celebrate the start of our family, Stardust.", Marco told Star softly as Blue-Eyes took flight. "How about we go to Friday's? Cool with you, Star?"
"A place dedicated to the best day of the week? What could be any cooler? Except, ya know...the Bounce Lounge!" Star exclaimed in agreement. With a nod, Marco motioned to his Blue-Eyes. "Soar high, mighty Blue-Eyes!"
Blue-Eyes roared, understanding his friend's command. Marco, having used Blue-Eyes in the past to get to places fast, knew exactly how to steer the mighty dragon to where he and Star wanted to go. When they got to the restaurant, Marco took a hold of Blue-Eyes' back, signaling to the dragon that it was time to land. Blue-Eyes roared fiercely, landing Star and Marco close to the doorway and smiling at the couple. "Thank you, buddy. Now return to the deck, we'll need you later." Marco called out as he returned Blue-Eyes White Dragon to his dueling deck. When they walked inside, Star and Marco find none other than...Sabrina, the accident-prone cheerleader!
"Sabrina? Is that you?", Marco asked, surprised that a cheerleader would be working at one of his favorite places. "Of course it's me, Marco!" she exclaimed. Now realizing whose name she had said, Sabrina became confused. "Wait a second, Marco Diaz? You're here? I thought… I watched you…" she began, only to be stopped by Marco.
"Yeah, I know...Star went through a lot to bring me back." Marco explained. "Besides, who else would make an entrance riding a giant Dragon?" he asked and Sabrina giggled in response, knowing that Marco was the only person she knows who would go anywhere riding a Blue-Eyes White Dragon.
After showing Star and Marco to their table, Sabrina took their orders and even gave the couple her take on Marco's Super Awesome Nachos! The batches of nachos came out almost rapid fire as Star devoured plate after plate...apparently, Marco's nachos are going to be a craving for Star during her pregnancy.
Anyway...Star had the Cajun Shrimp and Chicken Pasta and Flat Iron steak while Marco had the Bruschetta Shrimp Pasta and the New York Strip steak. Sure, it was outlandish, but Marco wanted to treat Star and he is a man of his word. After a dinner, and a shared Oreo Madness dessert, Star and Marco were stuffed. Marco left the money he needed to cover the check plus a generous tip on the table. Though he still made sure to tell Sabrina that the money and tip were on the table as they fist-bumped. Once Marco and Star were out, Star cut open a portal with her scissors...
"Alright, Blue-Eyes, you're on!" Marco called out as his dragon appeared. Star and Marco climbed on the dragon as it took flight into the portal. In no time at all, they were at the Bounce Lounge. Marco returned Blue-Eyes to his deck so he and Star could continue their night of fun- a photo booth, dancing and DJ Jump-Jump's set. Everything was perfect. By 10 PM, however, it was time to head home. The duo was tired and filled after their night of pleasure.
Star opened up one more portal, this time back to Earth. Marco called on his Blue-Eyes one more time, motioning for Star to climb aboard first. Once he and Star were aboard Blue-Eyes, Marco gave the signal for Blue-Eyes to take flight into the portal and head home, where he and Star would be sleeping together night in and night out from now on.
10 weeks later, it was back to Dr. Douglas's office for another check-up. Star was now 19 weeks pregnant and it was now time for the gender reveal.
Just like last time, Star rolled up her dress to reveal her expanding baby bump and Dr. Douglas applied the ultrasound cream. The probe was then turned on and pressed onto Star's chest. As Dr. Douglas moved the probe around Star's chest, she and Marco smiled as they prepared to find out the genders of their twins. And then...
"Baby A… is going to be a boy while baby B… is going to be a girl!", Dr. Douglas exclaimed. "Congratulations, you two!"
After hearing that they're going to have a boy and a girl, Star and Marco kissed each other hard on the lips, already knowing what they're going to name their kids.
"The boy is going to be named Kristoff and the girl..." Marco began. "How about Anna?" Star asked. "That's good, Star. Kristoff Gaston Diaz and Anna Jasmine Diaz..." Marco said, reciting the names of their yet-to-be-born children, all while thinking 'Star and I shouldn't have watched "Frozen" last night'.
Later that night, it was time for the Echo Creek July 4th Fireworks display. Marco went with his parents every year and this year was no different. 2 long months ago, Star thought she'd never be standing here with the love of her life. Now she's here with Marco and their yet to be born children, enjoying America's birthday as a couple. As the fireworks went off, Marco took out a black box and opened it, revealing a diamond ring. Then, he got down on one knee, proceeding to say the words Star had waited 4 years to hear...
"Stardust Rainbow Butterfly, we've went through hell and back, dimension after dimension, even cheated death- all for each other. I can't even bear to live another day without you. Star...will you marry me?"
Star gasped and blushed. She waited 4 years and had to defeat the guardians of heaven and hell to hear those words. Her response?
"YES! YES, I WILL MARRY YOU, MARCO UBALDO DIAZ!" she screamed to the heavens as she ran in and hugged Marco. In response, Marco kissed Star as the fireworks went off behind them. It was the most romantic scene ever.
It was now Halloween Weekend. Star was now 31 weeks pregnant and in with Marco for her final ultrasound before the birth of Kristoff and Anna. Star knew the routine...roll up dress, get the ultrasound cream applied to her chest and get a look at her developing twins. The probe was moved around her chest one more time as she and Marco found out the due date...Christmas Day.
Finally, it was that time...Christmas Eve. Star and Marco's friends and family were all gathered at the Diaz house. Star was due at any moment. Her chest had expanded out to the point where none of her dresses could hide it. Her breasts had grown from a B-cup to a D-cup and were now filled with milk. Just before the gift exchange, however...
"MARCO!", Star screamed as a pool of water splashed down beneath her.
"What is it, Stardust?"
Star just pointed down to the pool of water beneath her feet, she was in labor.
"Alright, Kristoff and Anna are coming! Mom, get my old kiddie pool and fill it up! Dad, help me get Star into her bikini! Everyone stand back, Kristoff and Anna are on their way!", Marco commanded.
"Well, you heard the safe kid! Let's go!", Jackie barked as everyone split up.
Within minutes, Marco's Ducky Momo kiddie pool was filled up and Star was in her sky blue two-piece bikini. Star sat down in the kiddie pool, holding Marco's hand as they watched 'Jeopardy!' and 'Wheel of Fortune' before a Christmas classics marathon on ABC Family. Then, as 'The Polar Express' was playing...
"AAAAAAAAAAAH! MARCO!", Star screamed as she felt another contraction.
"Oh my gosh...it's time!", Marco shouted as he helped Star out of her bikini. "Star, just keep pushing. I'm here.", He whispered to Star. It took all of 6 pushes to get the first baby's head out. Another 3 pushes and the rest of the first baby was out. It was a boy with Marco's brown hair and Star's sapphire eyes. His name - Kristoff Gaston Diaz. 5 pushes later and after 4 hours of labor, the 2nd baby - a girl - had entered the world. She had Star's heart marks and blond hair with Marco's brown eyes. Her name - Anna Jasmine Diaz.
"Aw, Marco! our babies are so beautiful!", Star gushed as she breastfed the twins.
"Of course they're beautiful, Star...considering how smokin' hot their mom is!" Marco exclaimed as he kissed Star and stroked her long, sweet-smelling blonde hair.
After 4 years of monster fighting, wand defending and nacho eating...not to mention a duel with the guardians of heaven and hell...had led up to this - The future king and queen of Mewni brought the next generation of royalty into the multiverse.
"Everything's perfect." Marco whispered to Star.
"You said it, Marco!" Star gushed as they kissed one more time and prepared to celebrate their new lives, not just as monster fighting partners, but as parents and one day, as King and Queen of Mewni.
