Please don't ignore this note the way you ignore my phone calls. I'm not giving up on our friendship, and I'm not listening to any more excuses about 'mortal enemies.' We can find a way to still be friends, but I need your help. I have to actually talk to you, one way or the other. Please, Jake, I'm begging you. You promised you'd never hurt me, and you promised you'd always be my friend, no matter who I loved. Not being your friend hurts me. Where's your persistence? Don't give up on me now.
