'He's gone…'
Those two words buzzed around my head like an angry bee. I couldn't believe it, Sasuke-kun was gone. He couldn't be gone! Naruto was supposed to bring him back to me! It was his promise of a lifetime! But that's okay, because Sasuke-kun will come back soon….
'…I'm sorry…Sakura-chan…'
I wanted to slap him right then and there. How dare him! He couldn't keep his promise to me, and all he had to say about it was 'sorry'? The Baka! I didn't have the courage to ACTUALLY tell him that though, so all I could do was put on a smile (Even I knew it was a feeble attempt on my part.) and tell him to forget about it….
'Always…like I said…I won't go back on my word! Because that's my ninja way…'
My heart ached at that, because I could tell his smile was also forced. He didn't think he could bring Sasuke-kun back. So I told him I would go with him next time. Because if Sasuke-kun could see how much I wanted him to come home, he would realize his mistake and come back with us, then we could be Team 7 again and everything would be alright again…If Sasuke-kun came back….
That was the last time I saw Naruto since his training trip with Jiraiya….
'Ah, is it Sakura…?'
When I heard Sasuke-kun's voice for the first time in three years, I wanted to cry tears of joy! I wanted to tell him that he should come back home with us, that he was making a big mistake. I wanted to tell him so many things so he could come back….
But then I saw his eyes….they weren't the eyes that were supposed to belong to him. They were like a pitch-black void, and they didn't have the hidden spark they used to….
And I thought that it was useless if I tried to bring Sasuke-kun back, but I knew who COULD bring Sasuke-kun back.
After all, he DID say it was his promise of a lifetime…
A/N: So, how was it? What should I change and/or make better? (Btw, if you didn't get it, it's basically about Sakura's obsession with Sasuke and how she's all like 'Sasuke-kun will come back! Blah-blah-blah….' and she hasn't actually SEEN him all emo-avenger like Naruto has. So when she actually sees him three years later, she's heartbroken and realizes she can't bring him back. So then she does a betch move and basically makes it Naruto's job to bring him back.) I got the basic idea from a song by Paramore, Brick by Boring Brick :D (Thus the title, since it's like a tribute.)
