Author's notes: this is just a ficlet for humor. The idea popped into my head, and I just can't get rid of it. My muse can be a serious bitch when she wants to be.

"And it was totally unfair!" Buffy complained to the flip phone in her hand, "It wasn't even my fault! Joe knocked over the pickle bin, and it got me all...pickley, and I got blamed for it!" she stalked through the cemetery, still smelling faintly of pickles.

All she heard in response was static, "Hold on, Wills, you're breaking up," she took a few steps forward, "Can you hear me now?"

Static.

"Ok," she stepped to her left a couple paces, "Can you hear me now?"

"Bu- wh- di- -uo –ay?"

"That's a no. Can you hear me know?" she stepped farther to her left.

"Yes," the response came through clear.

"Good. No, wait, I'm losing you again, damn cell phone. Can you hear me now?"

The answer came from the bush beside her as a vampire made his presence known, "Loud and clear, baby."

"Sorry, Wills, I've got to go."

Nothing but static.

"Damn cell phone," she pouted at it, before flipping it closed and putting it in her back pocket.
