Characters: Peter, Nathan

When Peter feels too light to stick to the ground, Nathan holds him down, keeps him grounded.

When his head spins with too many crammed in thoughts, it's Nathan's fingers on his temples that soothe the pain away.

When his back breaks and his bones crack and his body crumples around him, Nathan holds his hand and waits as he slowly regenerates back to himself.

But none of those touches mean a damn thing – not half as much as Nathan's steadying hand on his back did when he was eight years old and learning to ride a shiny new bike.
