Abducted

This is my second creative journal I made for my English Class. It's a short story that was adapted from the Breton Lai story called Sir Orfeo, which was an adaptation of the Greek Tragedy Orpheus. Synopsis: Sarah was living the life. Not only did she make money doing what she loved, but she gets to spend time with her husband as well. But then everything fell apart.

ABDUCTED!

On a late June afternoon, pop star Sarah Charles and her husband Ben Charles were sitting in an open meadow having a picnic. "Hey Sarah, how's your album going?" "It's going great dear." She replied. "Only 3 more songs to record." The couple bit into their sandwiches and told stories. While eating a slice of apple pie, Sarah heard a noise. Bee bo bop beep! "What was that?" Sarah asked. "I don't know what you are talking about." Ben replied. The noise grew louder. Bee Bo Bop Beep! "Ben stop, it's not funny!" "it's not me Sarah." Ben replied. "Hmm well that was weird." Said Sarah. Sarah and Ben continued their picnic when the noise returned 15 minutes later. BEEP BO BOP BEEP! "What is that!?" Sarah shouted. "I'm not sure." Said Ben. " It came from that way, let's got check it out." Sarah and Ben ran towards the sound. Ben was a good 100 yards ahead of Sarah. "Ben slow down, I'm not that fast!" Sarah yelled. Whoosh! Out of know where a huge oblong shaped craft flies directly above Ben. The aircraft begins to lift Ben off the ground. "Ben!" Sarah screamed as she runs towards his position. By the time Sarah reaches Ben's former position Ben is already gone. The aircraft shoots off at an insane speed towards space. "Ben!" Sarah cried. Sarah went to police and told them what had happened to Ben. The police went and searched the near by woods but found no sign of Ben. Sarah began to have a nervous breakdown. She stopped performing, she ate less and less, one day Sarah left civilization all together. Sarah began living in the woods, she searched for Ben or a sign of the ship that took him every day. Sarah taught herself to haunt and she made her own weapons. After 10 years of solitude, Sarah came to the meadow where Ben and her had had their picnic. Sarah began weep uncontrollably. "Why of all people did they have to take Ben?" She asked herself. Beep bo bop beep! Sarah gasped and ran towards the sound. It grew louder. Beep Bo Bop Beep! Sarah ran to where Ben had been taken. "Take me!" She yelled. "Take me! Take me! Take me!" She cried. Sarah noticed that she began to lift off the ground towards the ship. Excited and scared, Sarah embraced the feeling of joy that she had, she knew there was a chance that she might see Ben again. Sarah passed out before she reached the ship. Sarah opened her eyes to a strange world. There were hovering vehicles, buildings taller than she could have ever imagined. There were plants that were multicolored, the grass was blue. Sarah saw many types of beings, there were humans, there were beings that were short and tall, thin and wider, there were "little green men". Sarah was told that the Queen would see her now. The Queen was an insect looking creature. She had a hard outer shell for a body with flesh for her limbs and her head. "So you want your husband back? Why should we give him back to you?" Asked the Queen. "How did you.." "I can read your mind dear." The Queen interrupted. "Please oh please give me Ben back" Sarah cried. Under distress Sarah began to softly sing. "What a beautiful voice you have." The Queen said. "If you are able to woo me with a song then I will give you your husband back. Sarah sang "Hello" by Lionel Richie. Sarah's performance was perfect. "That was beautiful." The Queen sniffled. "You may have your husband back. Sarah was reunited with Ben on ship that would return them back to Earth. "Ben! Ben! It's me Ben." Ben just stared at Sarah emotionless, not even a flinch. "We're going home Ben." She told him. Ben continued his robotic stare.
