I got the idea for this story off of this manga called Mitsurio Devil, as well as it's sequel Koiiro Devil. Characters might be OC and Haru, Makoto, and Nagisa, will be girls. I hope you enjoy the story. Disclaimer: I own nothing.
Chapter One: The Priestess Meets The Demon Prince
In the Demon World
"Seryu, what do you have to report?"
"I have to apologize to you, Esdeath-sama." the demoness said, kneeling in front of the other female demon with her head bow down. "I hate to tell you this, but I'm afraid that the Demon Prince has escaped."
"Escaped?" Esdeath (Age: 400, Height: 170 cm, Measurements from top to bottom: 87 cm, 54 cm, 85 cm) repeated.
"Yes, Milady." Seryu (Age: 25, Height: 164 cm, Measurements from top to bottom: 82 cm, 54 cm, 84 cm) replied. "Despite the curse you placed on him, the prince still had enough magical power to travel to a different world. We are positive that he sent himself to Tokyo, Japan."
"I see..."
"With your permission, Esdeath-sama, I will be more than willing to go there myself and bring the Demon Prince back here."
"Very well, Seryu." Esdeath said. "I'm counting on you to bring him back alive. So I can torture him a little bit before I kill him." she remarked, grinning sadistically.
"Yes, Esdeath-sama." Seryu replied, her lips curling up into a twisted, manic smile.
Meanwhile, in Tokyo, Japan
"Looks like Nagisa's prediction was right as always." Nanase Haruka (Age: 17, Height: 175 cm, Measurements from Top to bottom: 102 cm, 54 cm, 90 cm), or Haru as she was known by her close friends and family, thought aloud as she walked home from the grocery store, holding onto an umbrella to keep the rain from falling on her, her grocery bag in her other hand. "Being friends with someone who can predict the future has its pros."
As she was walking, the ravenette felt a strange presence nearby.
"This presence..." Haru started to say. "A demon?" she questioned.
The presence was coming in the direction ahead of her. When she looked ahead, the young woman saw what, or rather who, the demonic presence was coming from. What she saw was a young boy, looking about thirteen years old with red hair and matching red eyes, sitting on the ground, his clothes sticking to him like a second skin from the rain.
"Hey, little boy." Haru called as she walked over to him. "Are you by yourself?" she asked.
"What's it to you?" the boy questioned curtly as he turned his head up to look at her, a scowl on his face.
"So you're the rude type of brat, I see." the priestess remarked in monotone, her face blank.
The boy growled slightly, showing his shark-like teeth, as his scowl turned into a glare.
"What's your name?" Haru asked, ignoring the glare. "Do you need help?"
"I don't need help from your type of people." the redheaded boy retorted, starting to stand up.
The ravenette watched the boy as he stood up. Then she noticed him staggering a bit. Next, she saw him falling forward.
"Woah..." Haru said as she caught the boy, who had suddenly fell unconscious, before he could fall to the ground with her arm. She immediately took notice of his heavy breathing. "He must be really tired." she thought aloud.
After staring at the unconscious boy a moment longer, the young woman sighed at what she was about to do. With some difficulty, Haru gathered the boy's smaller body into her arm.
'He's heavier than he look.' Haru thought to herself as she started making her way home with the boy in her arm.
Later, at an old shrine
"Welcome home, Onee-chan." Nanase Kokoro (Age: 10, Height: 133 cm) greeted when she saw her older cousin walk into their two-story shrine house, her two strands of hair, which were held up by beads, twitching slightly. "Who's he?" she asked the second she saw the redheaded boy in the ravenette's arm.
"Someone I picked up." Haru replied in monotone as she put away her umbrella and set down the grocery bag.
"Don't make it sound like you picked up a stray dog or something." the violet haired girl remarked. "I'm feeling a demonic presence coming from him." she said.
"Yeah, that's how I found him." the young woman stated, now carrying the unconscious boy in both of her arms. "Kokoro, please go and set out a futon for him." she requested.
"Understood." Kokoro retorted, quickly saluting, before she went off to do as her cousin said.
"I wonder where in the world you came from..." Haru thought aloud as she stared down at the redheaded boy.
Sometime later, in the living room
"What kind of demon do you think he is?" the ten year old asked as she stared at the sleeping redheaded boy, who was changed into a sleeping yukata, laying on the futon, her ocean blue eyes filled with curiosity.
"Who knows?" the ravenette priestess said in monotone, her face and own ocean blue eyes emotionless. "I do know that he'll probably be hungry when he wakes up. Watch him while I go cook something."
"Okay." Kokoro replied as she watched her cousin walk into the kitchen. She turned her attention back to the sleeping boy. "Just who are you?" she wondered to herself.
Then, to her surprise, she heard a small groan coming from him. A few moments later, the boy slowly opened his eyes.
"Oh, you're awake?" the violet haired girl asked. "Good to see you up." she said, smiling at him.
"Where am I?" the redheaded boy questioned, taking in his surroundings.
"You're at mine and my cousin's shrine house." Kokoro told him.
"Shrine house?" the boy repeated. "Are you and your cousin priestesses?" he asked.
"Onee-chan is, but I'm still in training." the ten year old replied. "Speaking up of Onee-chan, she's making you something to eat right now. I'm positive that you'll love it. Onee-chan is an amazing cook."
"Kokoro, is he awake?" Haru questioned as she walked back into the living room, a tray in her hands.
"Yeah, he just woke up." Kokoro replied.
"You're..." the thirteen year old, sitting up in the futon, started to say when he immediately recognized the priestess.
"Yo." the ravenette greeted in monotone, kneeling down beside the futon and placing the tray, which had a plate with a mackerel burger on it, in front of him. "I figured you would be hungry when you woke up, so I made you something to eat."
The boy stared at the food in front of him. Secretly, he admitted that it looked and smelt good, but he didn't want to act too rash.
"How do I know you didn't poison it?" he asked, eyeing the two cousins suspiciously. "Last time I checked, demons and priestessed weren't exactly the best of friends."
"You sure are distrusting." Kokoro commented.
Haru, not saying anything, grabbed the chopsticks that were on the plate and tore off a piece of the mackerel burger. Then she took the piece in her mouth. She chewed on it for a moment, swallowing it soon after.
"Believe it's poisoned now?" the ravenette questioned as she looked at the redheaded boy.
The thirteen year old didn't make any reply. Instead, he just snatched the chopsticks from her. "Thanks..." he mumbled before he started to eat the mackerel burger.
"Is it good?" Haru asked.
"It's not inedible." the boy replied, not wanting to admit it tasted very good.
"A simple yes or no would have sufficed." Kokoro stated. "Ne, Onii-chan, what's your name?"
"What should I-" the thirteen year old stopped when he realized something. "Onii-chan?" he questioned as he stared at the younger girl with a weird look.
"Yeah." the violet haired ten said, smiling.
"You're a weird little girl." the boy remarked.
"So rude!" Kokoro shouted, pouting. "Fine, if you won't tell me your name, I'll tell you mine." she said. "My name is Nanase Kokoro." she introduced herself. "And this is my older cousin, Haruka." she pointed to the ravenette. "But you can call her Haru, she likes that name much better." she added. "What's your name, Onii-chan?" she asked.
The redheaded boy stared at the two cousins for a moment.
"Matsuoka..." he finally said. "Matsuoka Rin."
"Such a girly name." Haru and Kokoro commented in unison.
"If I wanted your opinion, I would've ask for it!" Rin yelled.
"Well, it's nice to meet you, Rin." the ravenette priestess said in monotone.
"Whatever..." the redheaded boy mumbled.
"Ne, Onii-chan, what kind of demon are you?" Kokoro asked. "Your demonic aura feels different from other demons." she commented.
"Is it because you're not a normal demon?" Haru questioned.
"Yeah..." Rin said quietly. "I am Matsuoka Rin, Demon Prince of the Demon World."
"Demon Prince?" the violet haired girl repeated in amazement. "You're the prince of demons?"
"That's right." the redheaded boy said, smirking slightly. "You should tremble in fear while in my presence."
Haru scoffed. "As if I'm going to be afraid of some thirteen year old demon brat." she remarked, crossing her arms under chest.
"I'll have you know that I'm seventeen!" Rin yelled.
The two cousins stared at the young boy with blank looks.
"You should drink more milk." the ravenette remarked, holding a glass of milk she got from who knows where.
"You'll get taller."the violet haired girl stated, also holding a glass of milk she also pulled out of nowhere.
"I don't look this way naturally!" the demon prince shouted. "I'm like this because of a curse!"
"Curse?" the cousins repeated at the same time.
"That's right. I had a curse placed on me by this demon, Esdeath. Because of this curse, I'm stuck in the body of a child." Rin explained, gritting his teeth together as his hands tightened into fist. "To make matters worse, I can't use my powers they way I used to."
"I see..." was all Haru said, staring at the boy blankly. "Kokoro, help me clean out one of the guest rooms." she stated, standing up and walking out of the room.
"Oh, okay." Kokoro replied as she followed her cousin.
"What are you doing?" Rin asked.
"Making room for you." the priestess told him in monotone.
"Eh?"
"You can't be by yourself in your current state." Haru remarked. "It's best if you live with us. Any demon with a brain wouldn't dare step onto the home of a priestess."
"You're going to let me live here?!" Rin exclaimed in disbelief.
"That's what I just said." the ravenette stated. "If you don't want to, then..."
"No!" the demon prince shouted. "I mean, it would be stupid for me to live anywhere else the way I am now. So living with a priestess would be my safest bet."
"Alright. In that case, stay here while we clean out a room for you." Haru told him. "Come on, Kokoro."
"We'll make you feel right at home, Onii-chan." Kokoro declared before she followed her cousin out of the room. "It was really nice of you to let Onii-chan stay here, Onee-chan." she commented when they were out of the living room and walking up the stairs to the second floor.
"I'm only doing this while he's the way he is now." the older priestess explained coolly. "Until he's back to the way he original was, I'm kicking his ass to the curb."
'Onee-chan is so cold sometimes.' the violet haired girl mentally remarked. 'She's such a kuundere.'
Later, at nighttime
"My room is just a few doors down from your's." Haru told the demon prince, who was sitting the bed of the room she and her cousin had cleared out. "If you need anything, come and get me."
"Okay..." was all Rin said.
"Good-night, Onii-chan." Kokoro said before her cousin softly closed the door.
After the door closed, the redheaded boy laid down on the bed.
'How did this happen?' Rin mentally asked himself. He held up one of his hands and stared at it. 'Am I going to be stuck like this forever? If that's true, then I can probably never go back to the Demon World.' at that thought, the young boy felt tears prick the corners of his eyes. 'Damn it!' he mentally exclaimed, covering his eyes with his arm. 'Mom, Gou...'
Outside the room, a certain ravenette was leaning against the wall next to the door, her face emotionless. Then, not making a sound, she pushed herself off the wall and walked silently back to her room.
Early the next morning
"Good morning, Onii-chan." Kokoro greeted when she saw the demon prince walk out of his room. "How did you sleep?" she asked.
"Better than I thought I would." Rin replied, yawning slightly.
"If you want to take a bath or anything, the bathroom's right there." the violet haired girl told him, pointing a nearby door. "There's also a toothbrush in there for you so you can brush your teeth." she added.
"Thanks." the redheaded boy said as he walked past her and towards the door.
"Oh, Onii-chan!" Kokoro exclaimed when she saw him head towards the wrong door. "That door doesn't lead to the bathroom. It's Onee-chan's room!"
But it was too late. Rin opened the door and froze at what he saw inside. Standing in room was a certain priestess in nothing but her underwear. She was wearing a black, red lacy bra with matching panties, which had black garter belts attached to it to hold up her black, thigh-high socks.
Rin, whose face turned bright red, stared at her with wide eyes while Haru stared at him blankly.
WHACK! BAM! SMACK!
"Oh dear..." Kokoro said as she stared at the young demon prince, who was laying face-first on the floor with several large bumps on his head as her cousin stood over him, one of her feet planted on his back as an irritation tick throbbed on her head.
After all of that
"It's nice to know that the Demon Prince is a pervert." Haru remarked in monotone and she, her cousin, and the redheaded boy, say at the table eating breakfast, now wearing her school uniform.
The uniform consisted of a white long-sleeved, button-down shirt with vertical linings, a black ribbon on the collar, a black shoulder cape and matching button-down corset, a magenta skirt with white accents, and brown dress shoes.
"I'm not a pervert!" Rin immediately yelled. "It was an accident!" he insisted.
"Mmhmm." the ravenette said, staring at him with a dubious look.
"Ne, Onee-chan." Kokoro spoke up. "Will you be working today?" she asked.
"No, I didn't get any job orders." Haru told her.
"You work?" Rin questioned.
"Yeah. I get paid to exterminate demons that are causing trouble in the human world." the young woman explained.
"What kind of trouble?" the demon prince asked.
"Such as killing and eating humans." Haru told him. "If they're only causing slight mischief, like playing small pranks, then they're fine."
"So you only get rid of really evil demons?"
"Yeah. I was taught by my now deceased grandmother that not all demons are bad. And she was right."
Rin didn't say anything as he stared at the priestess, taken aback by what she had just said.
"Onee-chan, we should be leaving soon." Kokoro told her cousin.
"Oh, you're right." Haru said, standing up.
"Where are you going?" the demon prince asked.
"School." the ravenette replied. "I'm still a teenager and have to go to high school."
"I'm in elementary school." the violet haired girl informed. "Do you go to school in the Demon World, Onii-chan?" she asked the older boy.
"Since I'm the prince, I had private tutors." Rin answered.
"You're a rich brat, too, huh?" Haru commented.
"What was that?!" the redheaded boy exclaimed, glaring at her.
"Anyway..." the priestess said, ignoring his glare. "I placed sutras around the house. No demons should be able to get in. Stay here until we get back." she told him as she turned around and walked out of the room.
"Bye, Onii-chan." Kokoro said as she followed her cousin. "See you later!"
"School..." Rin thought aloud, hearing the front door open and close. "I wonder what it's like."
Later
"Morning." Haru greeted in monotone as she walked into her homeroom class.
"Good morning, Haru." Tachibana Makoto (Age: 17, Height: 176 cm, Measurements from to to bottom: 95 cm, 58 cm, 87 cm), the ravenette's childhood friend, greeted back.
"Morning, Haru-chan." Todo Toka (Age: 17, Height: 165 cm, Bust: 89 cm, Waist: 56 cm, Hips: 88 cm), the student council president, and another childhood friend of Haru's, said.
"Hey." the priestess said as she took a seat at her desk.
"I tried to call you last night, but you didn't pick up." the olive green haired girl stated. "Is everything okay?" she asked in concern.
"A nuisance just made it's way into my home." Haru told her.
"A nuisance?" the light brown haired girl repeated. "What do you mean?"
"I'll explain at lunch." the ravenette said when she saw the homeroom teacher walk into the classroom.
"Good morning, everyone." Amakato Miho greeted her students as they sat in their desk, a bright smile on her face. "It turns out that we have a new transfer student today." she informed. "Treat him nicely, okay?"
Haru, having no interest in the subject, just turned her head and stared out the window her desk was close to with a blank face, her cheek resting on her fist.
"Hello, everyone. My name is Matsuoka Rin."
Upon hearing the very familiar voice and name, the ravenette's head shot up and turned to the front of the class. Her eyes widened when she saw a certain redheaded demon prince standing there wearing a smaller version of the boy's uniform.
The uniform consisted of a black blazer with white accents over a white, long-sleeved dress shirt with black highlights, and black pants. His blazer and dress shirt was left open, showing the red T-shirt he had underneath. And, instead of wearing brown dress shoes, he had on blue and white sneakers.
"I have a girly name, but I'm a boy. Looking forward to being in class with you!" Rin said, grinning widely.
Haru felt her eye twitch as some of the other students mumbled to themselves about why a thirteen year old boy was in their grade.
"Matsuoka-kun, you can go and have a seat behind Nanase-san." Ms. Amakato told him, pointing in the priestess's direction.
"Okay." the demon prince said before he walked over to the desk that was behind the ravenette. "Please take care of me, Nanase." he said to her, in what sounded like a mocking tone, as he walked past her, smirking.
"Oh, I'll take care of you, alright." Haru mumbled to herself as the younger boy took a seat in the desk behind her, her bangs shadowing her eyes as her body slightly shook from trying to resist the urge to turn around and beat the crap out of the boy behind her.
Unknown to the two, a certain student council president was staring at them, mostly on the redheaded boy.
"Mako-chan! Toka-chan!" Hazuki Nagisa (Age: 16, Height: 157 cm, Measurements from top to bottom: 85 cm, 55 cm, 86 cm) called as she ran over to the two second years. "Let's have lunch together!"
"Maybe in a bit, Nagisa-chan." Toka told her. "Right now, I need to find Haru-chan."
"Haru-chan?" the petite blonde repeated. "I think I saw her heading towards the stairs that led to the roof with a boy with red hair and wearing our school's uniform."
"That's the new transfer student, Matsuoka Rin." Makoto informed.
"I think he's more than just a transfer student." the light brown haired girl remarked as she made her way in the direction of the stairs that led to the room.
"Why do you say that, Toka-chan?" Nagisa asked, following the student council president along with the taller girl.
"His aura wasn't human. It felt like a demon's." Toka replied.
"As expected of the Lighting Priestess." the first year girl commented.
"Nagisa-chan, don't use that name while we're at school." the light brown haired young woman scolded. "Remember, things about demons and such need to be on the down-low from normal people."
"Yes, ma'am."
Later
"Haru-chan..." Toka called out as she and the other girls walked out onto the roof. "About that transfer student, I believe he's a de-" she and the other two stopped in their tracks at what they saw.
"Why the hell are you here?" Haru asked in monotone, holding the demon prince by his ankles and over the roof's edge, ready to drop him to the ground below.
"Someone save me!" Rin begged as he hung upside down, flailing his arms around.
"Uh, Haru?" Makoto spoke up. "What are you doing to Rin?" she asked carefully.
"Trying to get some answers from him." the ravenette replied.
"How about you put him down, on the roof, and we can talk about whatever needs to be talked about?" Nagisa suggested.
"Sure, if you want to do it the boring way." Haru remarked as she pulled the redheaded boy back, dropping him on the roof's ground a second later.
"Ow..." Rin groaned quietly.
After all of that
"He's the Demon Prince?" Toka, Makoto, and Nagisa questioned in unison after listening to their friend's story.
"That's right." Haru said, holding said demon prince in a choke-hold. "And now I'm looking after this brat."
"Oi!" Rin yelled. "Your huge boobs are suffocating me!"
A second later, the young boy was laying face-first on the ground with a large bump on his head.
"As you can see, it's a pain in the ass." the ravenette remarked in monotone.
'I'm starting to become worried for him.' the three girls thought in unison.
"I guess we should introduce ourselves." Toka spoke up. "Nice to meet you, Rin-kun." she said. "My name is Todo Toka, I'm a priestess like Haru-chan."
"The difference between us is that she can control lighting while I control water." Haru said. "She's very strong."
"But I'm nowhere as strong as you, Haru-chan." the student council president retorted.
"I'm Hazuki Nagisa." the blonde first year introduced herself. "I'm a clairvoyant and can see into the future and past. Nice to meet you, Rin-chan!"
"I guess that leaves me." Makoto said. "I'm Tachibana Makoto, I'm a healer. It's nice to meet you, Rin." she told the young boy, smiling warmly at him.
Rin stared at the olive green haired girl for a moment. Then he looked at the ravenette priestess.
"How is this angel-like person friends with someone like you?" he asked.
A second later, Haru was grinding her fists on both sides of the demon prince's head.
"Haru, stop that or you're going to make two holes on the sides of his head!" Makoto exclaimed.
"Oh." Nagisa suddenly said.
"What is it, Nagisa?" Haru asked, finally stopping her 'punishment' on the younger boy.
"I just saw something from Rin-chan's past." the petite blonde told them.
"What did you see?" Toka asked.
"I saw him when he wet the bed. How cute." Nagisa remarked.
"That's when I was six!" Rin yelled, blushing furiously from embarrassment.
Makoto and Toka couldn't help themselves and started to laugh. As for Haru, she held a hand to her mouth as her body shook from the laughter she was trying to keep inside.
"So, why are you here, anyway?" the ravenette asked after she regained her composure.
"Well..." the demon prince started to say. "Since I had private tutors back in the Demon World, I never went to normal school. And I was curious on what it was like. So I used the little magic that I still have to get myself enrolled in high school." he explained.
"I see..." was all Haru said. Then she sighed. "Alright, I guess you can attend school here."
"Really?!" Rin exclaimed.
"Just as long as you don't cause trouble." the priestess added.
"You got it!"
"Interesting..." Toka mumbled to herself.
"What is it, Toka-chan?" Makoto asked, hearing her friend's mumbles.
"On any other day, Haru-chan would threaten Rin-kun to leave. But, it's kinda different." the light brown haired girl remarked.
"Maybe because Rin-chan is a special case?" Nagisa suggested.
"You wanna repeat that, you damn brat?" Haru asked in monotone as she held the redheaded boy in a choke-hold.
"I was just saying your personality needs a tune-up!" Rin was able to say as the ravenette choked him.
"Then again, maybe not." the three girls said in unison, sweatdropping from the scene in front of them.
Hours later, after school
"See you later, Haru." Makoto said to the priestess, waving good-bye to her and the demon prince.
"Have a good night." Toka stated.
"Bye-bye, Haru-chan, Rin-chan!" Nagisa said cheerfully.
"See ya." Haru replied as she and the redheaded boy walked in a different direction.
"You know, I'm a bit surprised." Rin remarked, his arms behind his head.
"By what?" the ravenette asked.
"That you actually have friends. I figured you would be the loner type."
"Well, you were wrong."
"Onee-chan! Onii-chan!"
"Oh, Kokoro." Haru when she saw her cousin and two other girls.
"Hey, Haru-chan." the girl with long, blonde hair, which was tied up into two pigtail and had black tips at the end, and green eyes greeted.
"Hello, Haru-chan." the girl with orange-brown hair, which was tied up into to small ponytails on either side of her head by red bobbles, and blue eyes said politely.
"Hello, Kanon-chan, Jimeko-chan." the raventte replied in monotone.
"Ne, Kokoro-chan, is this the demon boy who you said is staying with you?" Yukimura Kanon (Age: 10, Height: 133 cm) asked the violet haired girl, gesturing to the demon prince.
"The one you call 'Onii-chan'?" Kurashiki Jimeko (Age: 10, Height: 131 cm) questioned.
"Yep, his name is Matsuoka Rin." Kokoro told them. She looked at the older boy. "Onii-chan, these are my bestest friends. Kanon-chan, she's a kitsune (fox demon)..." she pointed to the blonde, black-tipped girl. "And Jimeko-chan, an oni." she gestured to the orange-brown haired girl next.
"Nice two meet you." the two girls said in unison, bowing slightly.
"Oh, you, too." Rin said.
"Well, Kokoro-chan, I need to get home." Kanon told her friend. "Mom's making Aburaage (deep-fried tofu) tonight." she informed, grinning happily. "See ya." she said before she turned around and ran off.
"I should go, too." Jimeko said. "Bye-bye, Kokoro-chan." she said, following the young kitsune.
"See you guys later!" Kokoro called as she waved good-bye to her friends. "By the way, Onii-chan..." she started to say, turning to the demon. "Why are you wearing the boy's uniform to Onee-chan's school?" she asked.
"Well, the thing is..." Rin started to say.
Later that night, at the shrine house
"I still can't believe you enrolled yourself in Onee-chan's high school." the violet haired girl said, picking up the dishes she, her cousin, and the redheaded boy had used when they ate dinner not too long ago. "What if a demon who wants you dead found you in school? Then there would be big trouble." she remarked, walking into the kitchen, stepped onto a stool, and put the dirty dishes in the sink.
"It's probably better than sitting around the house and being bored out of my mind." Rin remarked. "By the way, where's Haru?" he asked.
"Oh, Onee-chan went into the storehouse to find any information on your curse." the ten year old told him, beginning to wash the dishes. "She says she's doing it so you can leave faster." she told him, giggling slightly.
"I thought priestess were suppose to be kind-hearted people." the demon prince mumbled to himself.
"I know Onee-chan can come off as cold, aloof, and mean..." Kokoro started to say. "But she's a really nice person once you really get to know her. When you do, she's the most nicest, smartest, strongest, and beautiful person you'll ever meet." she declared, smiling widely with love and admiration in her ocean blue eyes.
"You really love her, don't you?" Rin stated.
"Yeah, I really do." the young priestess admitted without hesitation. "When I was five, my Papa died in a car accident, and my Mama disappeared to who knows were. Onee-chan has been looking after me ever since."
"Where are Haru's parents?" the older boy asked.
"They moved to a different area for my Uncle's work when Onee-chan was twelve." Kokoro answered. "Until I came to live with her, Onee-chan's been living all alone."
Rin was taken aback by this, his eyes widening slightly.
"Anyway..." the violet haired girl started to say, looking at the demon prince. "Onii-chan, you should go and take a bath. Our shrine has a big bathhouse that was built around a hot spring."
"Is your family rich or something?" the redheaded boy asked.
Kokoro laughed a bit from his question. "No, the shrine house has just been in the Nanase family for many generations." she told him.
"I see..." was all Rin said. "Well, I'm going to take that bath now." he informed, walking out of the kitchen with his arms behind his head.
Meanwhile, in the storehouse
Haru was standing in front of a long, tall shelf that was filled with rolled-up, scrolls. With a blank face, she read the unrolled scroll that was in her hands. She was searching for any clues that could reverse the curse that was on a certain demon prince. And she just might have found it.
"So it can be done in that way." the ravenette said to herself, rolling the scroll back up and tying it with a piece of leather string. "But it being done is such a way. What's up with that?" she questioned, placing the scroll back in it's proper section of the shelf.
Then she yawned a bit.
"I should go bathe and then go to bed." Haru said to herself as she made her way to the door, sliding it close and locking it when she walked out of the storehouse.
Later
The ravenette priestess slid open the door to the shrine's bathhouse, sliding it close when she walked in. She placed the pajamas she had on a nearby table. Then she started to undress herself. Once all her clothes were off, Haru tossed them into the hamper, not noticing another pair of clothes already in there. Grabbing a towel from the rack, the young woman wrapped it around her curvy figure.
Then she slid open the door that lead to the hot spring that the bathhouse was built around. When she did, Haru was slightly taken aback when she saw a certain demon prince taking a bath in the hot spring.
Rin immediately noticed the beautiful priestess, his face going completely red when he saw that she was only wearing a towel.
"I-I-I'm sorry!" he stuttered out as he backed away from her. "I'll leave now!" he said as he reached for his own towel.
"It's fine." Haru told him in monotone as she removed her own towel. "I don't mind if you're here." she stated as she got into the water.
"You say that, but you hit me earlier today when I saw you in your underwear." Rin pointed out, trying not to look at the naked young woman.
"That's because I thought you were trying to peek in on me on purpose." the ravenette retorted. "But this is different."
"I-I see..." was all the demon prince said, still blushing heavily. "But you know, I'm still a demon. I can still do indecent things to you." he remarked.
Haru almost smiled in amusement from his remark. "That maybe be true..." she started to say. "However, when you're like this, you can't really do squat." she stated.
Rin opened her mouth to snap at her, but soon closed it when he realized she was right. The priestess could see that the young boy was embarrassed and decided to have some fun with him.
"Rin." she said.
"W-What?" the demon prince questioned.
Haru moved closer to him. "I'll wash your back of you wash mine." she told him.
When the ravenette said this, Rin's face turned as red as his hair.
"Are you okay? Haru asked when she saw the red on his face, thinking that the heat was getting to him.
"I-I'm fine!" the redheaded boy declared as he stood up from the hot spring.
"Don't tell me that washing a girl's back makes the great Demon Prince nervous." the priestess said teasingly.
"S-Shut up!" Rin yelled. "I'm completely fine!" he insisted, grabbing a sponge. He sat on one of the stools that were in the bathhouse, waiting for the young woman. "Hurry up!" he shouted.
Not saying anything, Haru stood up from the water got out of the hot spring. She then took a sit on the other stool, sitting in front of the demon prince. After she sat down on the stool, Rin took a moment to stare at her back, watching how the water dripped and slid down her backside. He silently gulped as his face turned red.
"Are you going to start?" Haru suddenly asked in monotone, causing the redheaded boy to jump in surprise.
"Y-Yes!" Rin exclaimed as he started to scrub the young woman's back with the sponge in his hands.
The ravenette winched when she felt the younger boy scrub her back too hard.
"Have you never washed someone's back before?" she asked in slight annoyance, looking over her and at the demon prince.
Upon seeing the look on his face, the priestess figured that the redheaded boy had never washed someone's back before.
"Bull's eye, huh?" Haru said.
"Shut up!" Rin yelled, annoyed. "Like you could do a better job!"
"I probably could." the ravenette retorted.
"Then prove it!" the redheaded boy dared.
When she heard him say this, Haru stood up from the stool and turned to face him. Rin's face turned a very dark shade of red when he saw her large breasts in front of him.
"Like what you see?" the priestess asked when she noticed his staring.
"Shut up!" the thirteen year old yelled, his face turning even more red if possible.
Not saying anything else, Haru grabbed Rin's shoulder, and turned him around in the stool. Then she sat back down in the stool, grabbed the sponge, and started to wash the younger boy's back. Rin's face turned as red as his hair as the beautiful priestess washed his back, feeling himself getting a bit hard.
"Well, am I doing a better job than you?" Haru asked in monotone.
"S-Shut up!" the demon prince yelled. "I-I could have done it the way you do." he said, refusing to admit defeat.
"Is that so?" the ravenette questioned, leaning closer to him.
"Y-Yeah..." Rin replied, blushing heavily when he felt her large breasts pressed against his back.
Haru gave a small smirk from his embarrassment. "You know, I've been wondering something." she said.
"W-What is it?" the redheaded boy asked.
"Have you ever seen a woman naked before?" the priestess asked bluntly and in monotone.
"EH?!" Rin exclaimed.
"Is that a no?" Haru questioned. "Don't tell me..." she trailed off as she held a hand to her mouth in fake shock. "That the great Demon Prince is a virgin." she said.
"S-Shut up!" the thirteen year old yelled, blushing from her accusation. "I had much more important things to do back in the Demon World than have sex with women!"
"Does that mean you've never kissed a woman, either?" the ravenette asked.
"S-So what if it does?!" Rin shouted as he turned his head around to glare at her. "You have a problem with th-"
The demon prince was suddenly cut off when Haru placed her lips over his, causing his eyes widening in shock. A second later after the priestess kissed him, a bright light started to glow around the young boy.
When the light disappeared, a young, tall, muscular, and handsome young man, with red hair and eyes was sitting where the thirteen year old boy was. A moment later, Haru pulled away from him, staring into his shocked eyes.
"W-What the hell?!" Rin exclaimed in shock, looking at his arms and the rest of his body. "I'm back to normal." then he looked at the priestess. "Why did you kiss me?!" he demanded.
"I was proving a theory." Haru replied in monotone, her face blank. "In the storehouse, I found a scroll about your curse. In it, was a story that said that spiritual magic can return a demon back to it's true form." she explained. "And, for some reason, it can only be done through an act of intimacy, like kissing and such."
The demon prince stared at her with a dumbfounded expression. "Why didn't you tell me that sooner!" he yelled.
"I was bored and felt like teasing the Demon Prince." the ravenette replied simply.
"Why you..." Rin growled through his teeth, glaring at her as his whole body shook in anger.
"Is the great Demon Prince embarrassed that he got his first kiss stolen from him?" Haru questioned.
A dangerous, red aura surrounded the young man as he growled even more, gripping his fist tightly. "You bitch..." he said, his voice filled with malice.
The next thing Haru knew, she was laying, on her back, on the floor with Rin on top of her, his hands on either side of her head as his legs straddled her waist.
"Since you started this, take responsibility for what happens next." the demon prince told her as he stared down at her.
"I see..." was all the ravenette said on monotone, her face expressionless. "Very well, I understand, Rin." she stated, bringing her hands up and placing them on both sides of the young man's face, pulling him closer to her's.
Rin was slightly taken aback by her actions and forwardness. Getting over it, he closed his eyes when his face was inches from her's. Upon seeing his eyes close, Haru held his face a bit away from her's. Then, pulling her head back slightly, the priestess slammed her forehead against the demon prince's.
"Aah!" Rin cried out in pain, holding his forehead, as he jumped off the ravenette. "What the hell?!"
"Freeze!" Haru shouted as she stuck a sutra, which she got from who knows where, on the redheaded prince's chest.
"I can't move!" the young man exclaimed when his body couldn't move an inch.
"That sutra will enable you to move." the young woman explained, standing up and picking up her discarded towel. "But don't worry, it's effects are temporary." she added, wrapping the piece of fabric around her body. Then she turned around and began to walk towards the door.
"Once this sutra wears off, I'm going to make you wish you were never born!" Rin shouted, glaring at her retreating figure.
"Oh, speaking of temporary..." Haru started to say as she stopped for a moment to look back at him, ignoring his glare. "You'll only be in your original form for a certain period of time." she told him. "Until the demon who placed the curse on you dies, you'll turn back to your cursed form."
"Eh?!" the demon prince exclaimed.
"Well, good-night. See you in the morning." the ravenette said as she walked out of the hot spring.
"Wait, Haru!" Rin called. "Don't leave me like this!"
Haru ignored him and closed the door behind her. Then she picked up her pajamas and walked out of the bathhouse, not locking it when she closed it so young man could get out.
Early the next morning, it was Saturday
"Morning, Haru." Makoto greeted when she, Nagisa, and Toka saw the priestess after they walked up the many steps that led to the shrine house.
"Hey." Haru greeted in monotone, wearing her priestess uniform.
The ravenette was wearing a white haori with red stitches at the end of the sleeves with yellow tassels, which were hanging from two, small green stones that were attached at the end of the sleeves. She also had on red, pleated skirt that ended at her thighs. A long, red bow was tied around the front of her waist, too. White socks, with getas, were on here feet. Her long, waist-length raven hair was tied in a high ponytail with a small, red ribbon.
"Where's Rin-chan?" Nagisa asked.
"Don't know, don't care." Haru replied coolly, returning to her job of sweeping the leaves off of the stone pathway.
"You can't mean that, Haru-chan." Toka remarked. "If you didn't, then then you wouldn't allow him to live with you." she pointed out.
The ravenette didn't make any retort.
"Onee-chan!" Kokoro, wearing a smaller version of her cousin's uniform but was wearing a hakama instead of the skirt, called as she ran over to where the other girls were. "I can't find Onii-chan!"
"What do you mean?" the young priestess asked.
"I can't find him anywhere!" the violet haired girl repeated. "Plus, I can't sense his presence." she added.
"Now that you mention it, neither can I." the light brown haired priestess spoke up. "Could there be a chance that he was kidnapped by another demon?" she questioned.
"No, I didn't sense any last night." Haru informed. "He probably just ran away because I messed him last night."
"What do you mean by 'messed with'?" Makoto asked, feeling a bit worried for the demon prince.
"I just teased him a little, that's all." the ravenette told her. "Anyway, he'll probably come back before sunset."
"You make it sound like he's dog who ran away from home." Kokoro remarked.
"Oh my!" Nagisa suddenly yelled.
"What is it, Nagisa-chan?" Toka asked.
"I just had a vision of the future." the blonde girl informed. "I saw Rin-chan at the park." she told them. "Not only that, I saw a demon there trying to kill him."
All of the girls, except Haru, gasped.
"This is bad!" the light brown haired priestess shouted. "Rin-kun won't be able to defend himself in his current state."
"We have to go help him!" Makoto insisted.
"No, we don't." the ravenette spoke up, her voice in monotone with her usually emotionless face on.
"What are you talking about, Onee-chan?!" Kokoro exclaimed, staring at her cousin in disbelief.
Not saying anything, Haru turned around and walked towards the large shrine, sliding open the door and walking inside. Then she made her way to the alter that was at the far end of the room, kneeling in front of it when she reached it. Then Haru clasped her hands together, closing her eyes and bowing her head. After a few moments, the ravenette reopened her eyes. She then grabbed the the katana that was on the katana stand, which was made from black piano lacquered wood and red felt, in front of her and the alter.
Then, unsheathing the sword a bit, Haru stared blankly at her reflection in silver blade. Sheathing it back in place, the young woman slipped the katana through the bow around her waist. Then she turned around and heading back outside.
"If I'm not back in twenty minutes, come to the park." Haru told the other girls as she walked past them.
"Where are you going?" Makoto asked her childhood friend.
"Where do you think?" the ravenette called back as she begun to walk down the shrine steps. "I'm going to go save that stupid brat."
The girls all looked at the priestess retreating figure with surprise expressions. Then they looked at one another and smiled.
Meanwhile, at a secluded area of the park
"Stupid Haru..." Rin mumbled to himself, sitting on the ground with his knees pulled up to his chest. "Teasing me like that last night, woman as a lot of nerve." sighing, he laid down on the grass, staring up at the blue sky.
'Unless I can kill Esdeath, I'll be stuck this way forever.' he thought to himself. 'And I can only go back to my original self unless Haru and I...' his face turned as red as his hair when he remembered the kiss he shared with the ravenette, his heart starting to beat faster than usual. 'Dammit!' he mentally cursed, covering his face with his hands. 'Why can't I get that out of my head?! Although, I have to admit, her lips were really soft, and tasted sweet.'
"Excuse me, young lad." a female voice suddenly called.
Removing his hands from his face, the redheaded demon prince saw a young, pretty woman standing over him. She had short, shoulder-length auburn hair, that was being held up in a high ponytail with a black ribbon, and amber eyes. She was wearing a green, military-like dress, that ended at her thighs, with white frills at the end, with short-sleeves that had rolled up dark green cuffs. She also had long, thigh-length white socks with green combat boots. On her hands were dark green gloves.
"Are you lost?" the woman asked him, smiling kindly at him. "Would you like Onee-chan to help you?"
Rin stared at her for a moment. Then he scoffed and smirked slightly.
"Who do you think you're fooling, Seryu?" he questioned, standing up.
The auburn haired young woman's bangs shadowed her eyes. Then she lifted her head, showing malice look in her eyes.
"It seems your mind is still that of you're original age, Demon Prince, Matsuoka Rin." she remarked, her lips curling back into a twisted grin. "How unfortunate for you. If your mind had matched your age, I would have tried to convince Esdeath-sama to spare your life and make you a slave, since you would be nothing more than an innocent child who has no idea what he is." she told him. "Speaking of which, I have orders to fetch you and bring you back to her."
"I guess that's to be expected of Esdeath's main bitch." Rin commented, chuckling bitterly. "But, then again, you dog demons are all the same. Totally loyal and submissive to your masters."
"Don't forget quite powerful!" Seryu yelled as she tried to punch the redheaded boy.
Rin quickly jumped out of the way, making the young woman hit the spot he was standing just a moment ago and making a small carter, dusting flying everywhere. When the dust cleared, the young demon prince saw that Seryu had two auburn dog ears twitching on top of her head, as well as a auburn dog tail wagging slightly behind her.
"Not bad for a brat." the dog demon remarked. "But, even with the little power you still have, it's still not enough to defeat me. Why not make this easy for both of us and let me take you back to Esdeath-sama?" she suggested.
"I rather die!" Rin declared.
"I think Esdeath-sama would like to torture you first before that happens." Seryu told him, the grin on her face looking more manic than before.
Growling slightly, the redheaded boy turned around and started to run as fast as he could.
"Go ahead and run, boy!" the young woman called out, laughing crazily. "Dogs just love a good chase!" she added.
Then, sticking her fingers in her mouth, Seryu let out a loud, shrill whistle. A second later, four black portals opened up out of thin air. Then a large hell hound, with midnight black fur and glowing red eyes, came out of each portal.
"Sic'em, boys!" the female dog demon ordered, pointing in the direction the demon prince had run off in.
All of the hell hounds howled loudly before they started their hunt and ran the way their master was pointing.
'There's no way I can beat her the way I am now!' Rin mentally yelled as he ran. 'Dammit! I shouldn't have left the shrine!'
Suddenly, one of Seryu's hell hound appeared in front of him, causing him to stop in his tracks. When he turned around, Rin soon noticed that all of the other demonic canines had surrounded him.
"Aw, is it over already?" Seryu questioned in a mocking tone, coming up to stand next to one of the hell hounds with a smug look on her face. "What a shame. I was hoping you would last a lot longer."
"You crazy bitch." the redheaded boy growled through his teeth.
"You know..." the auburn haired demoness started to say. "Esdeath-sama never said that I had to bring you back unharmed." she said, grinning manically. "Go ahead, boys, use him as your new chew toy!" she shouted.
'I'm gonna die...' was all Rin thought as one of the hell hounds leaped towards him, it's fangs bared. 'Mom, Gou, I'm sorry...' he mentally apologized, a few tears falling from his eyes.
Suddenly, a silver blur sliced at the demonic canine's neck, cleanly cutting it's head off.
"What?!" Seryu exclaimed in disbelief.
"Haru?!" the demon prince yelled when he saw the ravenette standing in front of him, her katana sword held out in front of her.
"Are you alright?" Haru asked in monotone, not taking her eyes off of the other hell hounds.
"I-I'm fine..." Rin replied. 'She's protecting me?' he mentally asked himself.
"Good." the young woman said. Then, looking over her shoulder, she stared down at him with her usual blank face. "Just stay with me, I'll protect you." she told him.
The young boy's face turned slightly red when he heard her say this. 'She's acting like some cool guy!' he thought to him.
"You..." Seryu spoke up, on her knees as she held the head of the dead hell hound in her arms. "You're a priestess." she said as a statement.
"Pretty much." Haru retorted in monotone, turning her attention back to the demoness.
Gritting her teeth together tightly, the auburn haired woman raised at her head and glared at the ravenette with pure hatred, tears of angry pricking her eyes. "Boys, avenge your brother and tear this bitch to pieces!" she ordered.
The three remaining hell hounds all growled as they stalked towards the priestess, their fangs bared. Haru just stared at them coolly as she stayed in her attack position. When of them pounced at her, the young woman quickly sliced her katana across it's body, cutting it on half. The third hell hound attacked next. Haru reacted without hesitation and slashed her sword at it's face and through it's body, it's now in two body falling to the ground. The ravenette soon saw the last hell hound try to attack her from behind. She quickly turned and held up her hand. A second later, red barrier surrounded her and the demon prince. Once it touched the barrier, the hell hound was immediately purified and turned into nothing but ash.
"That was easier than I thought it would be." Haru remarked as put her hand down, the barrier disappearing.
'She a lot stronger than I thought she was...' Rin thought to him, looking at the priestess with a amazement in his eyes.
Seryu, now standing up after she gently placed the first hell hounds head down on the ground, just stared with a look of pure shock and horror on her face as her demonic canines were all killed one by one.
"You bitch..." she growled through her teeth as she glared at Haru, her fists gripping so tightly that she drew blood from her palms. "I'm gonna kill you!" she screamed.
Then, with incredible speed, the dog demoness charged at the ravenette. Once she reached her, Seryu lifted her leg and kicked Haru in her sides, sending her flying and making her back hit a tree.
"Haru!" Rin yelled.
"Not so badass now, are you?" the auburn haired woman mocked, smirking smugly.
"How careless of me." Haru said more to herself as she stood up, not looking fazed by the attack she just received. "I knew dogs were strong, but I didn't think you were that strong." she remarked, dusting herself off.
'What?!' Seryu mentally exclaimed in shock. 'She doesn't look hurt at all!'
'Is she really human?' Rin thought to himself.
"You're really starting to piss me off." the dog demoness remarked, growling loudly.
Then, using her fast speed again, Seryu charged at the priestess, shooting her leg out to kick her again.
"The same thing won't work twice." Haru said monotone as she swiftly moved to the side to dodge the kick. Then raised up her knee and slammed it against the demoness stomach.
Seryu gasped as she felt all the air leave her body. A second later, she found herself flying, landing on the ground moments later.
"I-Impossible..." the auburn haired woman managed to say, coughing as she held her stomach. "F-For a human to hurt me this much..." then her eyes landed on a certain demon prince. 'I can still capture him and bring him to Esdeath-sama!' she thought.
"Rin!" Haru yelled when she saw Seryu launch herself at the redheaded boy.
Running as fast as she could, the ravenette rushed over to him. When she was close enough, Haru jumped and wrapped her arms around Rin, hissing in pain when she felt the dog demoness's claws swipe across her back as the two fell to the ground.
"Haru, are you alright?!" Rin asked.
"I'll live." Haru replied. Then she looked down at him. "Rin, you'll probably be mad at me later, but this for both of our sakes." she told him.
"Huh?" the demon prince questioned. "What are you talking ab-" he was cut off when the priestess suddenly leaned down and kissed him, causing his eyes to widened in shock.
A second later, a bright light surrounded him.
"What the hell?!" Seryu yelled, trying to cover her eyes from the blinding light.
Once the light disappeared, the dog demoness gasped at what, or rather who, she saw standing there.
Instead of being thirteen, Rin was back to his original age, his hand on Haru's waist. He had on a white, button-up shirt, which had a few buttons undone to show off a bit of his muscular torso, black pants, and black boots. But the most noticeable things about him were the black horns on the top of his head. As well as the long, black angel wings on his back.
"N-No way..." Seryu stuttered, her eyes wide with complete shock. "You mean that story about spiritual magic turning a demon back to it's true form was real?!" she questioned in disbelief.
"Apparently so." Rin said, smirking when he saw the fearfully look in the demoness eyes.
'This isn't good!' the auburn haired woman mentally exclaimed. 'There's no way I can take him on in his current form. I need to retreat and tell Esdeath-sama about this.'
Holding up one of her hands, a portal appeared beside Seryu. Quickly turning to it, the female dog demon jumped in, planning to escape. However, she felt a hand grabbed her tail and pull her out of the portal.
"And where are you going?" Rin asked, still holding the demoness by her tail. "I thought dogs loved to play." he remarked.
Seryu's whole body trembled in fear when she saw the evil look in his eyes. Then she gasped when he flung her to the side, crying out in pain when her back hit a nearby tree. Groaning in pain, Seryu quickly got up and tried to make a run for it. However, she stopped when a katana blade was held against her neck.
"I wouldn't if I were you." Haru warned in monotone.
'Dammit! I'm trapped!' the female dog demon mentally cursed.
"Haru, let me be the one who deals with this dog." Rin requested.
"If you want." the ravenette said, putting down her katana.
"Serve me, Laevatein!" the demon prince shouted.
Seconds later, a golden broadsword, red marking on the hilt and blade, formed into the young man's hand.
"The Demon King's sword, Laevatein..." Seryu said more to herself.
Then she moved out of the way when Rin swung the sword at her head, the blade managing to slice off a bit of her hair.
"You have pretty good reflexes for a dog." the young man remarked.
Seryu, acting on instinct, turned and ran away as fast as she could. Suddenly, she felt something grab her foot, causing her to stop. Looking down, the demoness saw that her foot was covered in rock.
'I forgot that he can use different types of magic!' Seryu thought to herself.
Then she felt her ears twitch when she heard a rumble of thunder. The demoness looked up at the sky and saw a dark cloud above her head.
'Shit!' she mentally yelled.
Just one second later, a bolt of lighting stuck Seryu, who screamed in pain when she felt herself get electrocuted. When the lighting disappeared, the female dog demon fell to the ground, panting heavily.
'I-I can barely move...' Seryu thought to herself.
Suddenly, she screamed when the tip of a sword went in her hand, her blood flowing out and onto the ground.
"Your endurance isn't bad, either." Rin commented, pushing the tip of his sword deeper into the dog demoness's hand.
"Hey, Rin..." Haru spoke up. "Even though she's a bitch, aren't you being a bit too cruel?" she questioned.
"That's the thing, Haru." the demon prince said, pulling his sword back. "When you're the prince of demons, you have to be as merciless as much as possible. Or else, nobody will take you seriously."
"Just put her out of her misery already. I thinks she's learned her lesson." the ravenette stated.
"I guess..." was all Rin said. Then, using only one hand, he held his sword above his head. "I hope you enjoy hell, Seryu." he told the demoness.
'Esdeath-sama...' Seryu thought when she saw the sword's blade move down to her neck, tears pricking the corners of her eyes. 'Please, save me, Esdeath-sama!' she mentally begged.
Suddenly, Laevatein's blade was completely encased in ice.
"What do you think you're doing to my underling?" a female voice asked.
Everyone turned their heads to the source of the voice. Who they saw was a tall, beautiful, and slender woman with long, hip-length light blue hair and blue eyes. She was wearing a white, thigh-length dress with a black collar and long, black gloves that left her hands uncovered. A black belt, with a silver cross in the middle, was around her waist. A black choker was on her neck while a black and white cap, with the symbol of the same cross in the middle of it, was on her head. She also had white, high-heeled boots and a black tattoo on her chest. In her hand was a long, sharply pointed rapier.
"Esdeath-sama..." was all Seryu said when she saw the woman.
"Are you alright, Seryu?" Esdeath asked, her voice laced with genuine concern.
"I-I'm sure I'll live." the dog demoness replied. "I-I'm terribly sorry." she apologized. "I was careless, and now the Demon Prince is..."
"Don't worry about it too much." the older demon woman reassured her. "Even though he's back in his true form, he can only maintain it for only a certain period of time. That is unless, he can kill me." she explained. "Am I right, young Demon Prince?" she questioned, turning her attention to said demon prince.
Rin, glaring at her, just growled as his hand tightly gripped the hilt of his sword, which had melted away the ice on the blade.
"I wonder how much longer you have until you turn back into a child..." Esdeath thought aloud. "Let's find out!" she shouted as she held up her hand in his direction, over a dozen of sharp icicles coming out and flying towards the young man.
However, before they could reach him, the icicles were slashed into pieces when Haru sliced them with her katana.
"I'll be your opponent this time." the ravenette said, pointing her single-sided sword at the ice demoness.
"A priestess, huh?" Esdeath said more to herself. "It's been a while since I last killed someone of your kind." when she got a good look at Haru's face, her eyes widened in shock. "It can't be..." was the only thing she said. "Why?"
"What?" the priestess questioned.
"Why?" the light blue haired demon woman repeated. "Those eyes... That face..." was all she said. Then, her teeth gritted tightly together, she glared at the ravenette. "Why the hell do you have the same face as Tatsumi ?!" she demanded.
"Tatsumi?" Haru repeated the name.
Just as she said that, the demoness shot forward, thrusting out her rapier at the ravenette's chest. Haru quickly blocked the sword's sharpened point with her katana.
"Oh, not bad." Esdeath complimented, pushing against the single bladed sword. "Your reflexes remind me of Tatsumi's."
"Whatever this Tatsumi person did to you, it has nothing to do with me." Haru told her coolly, also pushing against the rapier.
"I can see your point." the ice blue haired demon woman said. "But I can't stand seeing his face on another person's. So I should just kill you."
"Like hell I'll let that happen." the priestess retorted.
Esdeath just smirked. Then she suddenly jumped back, just as Laevatein's fiery blade slammed into the spot she was just standing on.
"How rude." the demoness said as she looked at Rin. "Interrupting a fight between ladies. I thought you would be more of gentleman, young Demon Prince. But, I'm a bit surprised that the prince of demons is helping and protecting a priestess."
"You got a problem with that?" Rin asked.
"No, I don't." Esdeath replied. "It just makes me wonder. Is there, by any chance..." she paused for a moment, her lips curling back into a wicked grin. "That you've fallen in love with her?" she questioned.
"Eh?!" the young man exclaimed, his face turning as red as his hair. "A-As if I would fall for a woman like her!" he shouted, pointing at said woman.
"What's that suppose to mean?" Haru asked in monotone.
"I can't say I would blame you for falling for her." Esdeath commented. "I mean anyone can see that she's very beautiful. And she has an amazing body, too."
"Shut up, or I'll kill you!" Rin threatened.
The demoness just laughed.
"Raikiri!"
Esdeath quickly jumped out of the katana blade, which had yellow electricity crackling around, that was aimed at her neck.
"Toka..." was all Haru said when she saw the other priestess.
"Are you alright, Haru-chan?" Toka asked, dressed in a priestess uniform that was exactly like the ravenette's except her skirt and ribbon were purple, holding her katana sword out in front of her.
"I'm alright." the tall ravenette replied.
"But your back's not!" Makoto shouted, immediately seeing the long scratch marks on her childhood friends back, when she, Kokoro, and Nagisa appeared.
"You worry too much, Makoto." Haru remarked in monotone.
"Just hold still and let me heal you." the olive green haired girl ordered, placing her hands on the slightly shorter girl's back, her hands glowing a light green when she touched the scratches.
"You'll all five minutes early." the ravenette stated.
"I had a prediction that you were in big trouble while fighting that demon lady." Nagisa informed. "I saw him, too." she added, pointing at Rin. "Is that Rin-chan?" she asked.
"Yeah." Haru replied.
"Eh?!" all the girls, except the ravenette, the blonde, and demoness, exclaimed in disbelief.
"That's Onii-chan?" Kokoro asked.
"Yep." Haru said in monotone. "That's what he looks like in his true form."
"He sure is good-looking, isn't he?" Nagisa remarked.
"Meh." was the ravenette's priestess's response, shrugging her shoulders.
"What do you mean by 'Meh'?!" Rin yelled.
"Hmm..." Esdeath hmmed as she observed the group. 'One demon prince, three priestesses, one still in training, a healer, and a clairvoyant. An interesting group. I could probably take them on by myself. But, I need to get Seryu back to the Demon World to get her healed. This will have to wait for another time.'
Not saying anything, the ice demoness walked over to the female dog demon, who had fallen unconscious.
"Well, I should be on my way." Esdeath said, holding Seryu under her arm. "It was quite an interesting day." holding up her free hand, she summoned a black portal out of thin air. Glancing once more at Haru, Esdeath smirked. "See you around, Haru." she said, tipping her cap, before she stepped into the portal with her underling.
"Dammit!" Rin yelled when the portal vanished.
"Who was that?" Toka asked, sheathing her katana.
"Esdeath, the demon who placed Rin's curse on him." Haru explained.
"And unless I can kill her..." the redheaded young man started to say.
Suddenly, a bright light started him. When the light disappeared, everyone saw that the demon prince was now back in his cursed form, his sword now gone.
"I'll stay like this forever." Rin said.
"That won't be easy." Kokoro remarked. "Her demonic aura felt incredibly strong."
"I know it was!" the thirteen year old shouted.
"Rin..."
"What do you want?!" Rin snapped at the ravenette.
Then, not saying anything, Haru placed her hand on top of the younger boy's head.
"I'm glad you're okay." she told him, a small smile on her face.
The demon prince's face turned as red as his hair from her words and smile.
"W-Whatever..." was all he said, turning his head away from her, his heart beating faster than usual. 'There's no way I could have fallen for her.' he thought to himself.
"Rin, let's go." Haru spoke up, bringing the young boy out of his thoughts.
"Go where?" Rin questioned.
"Let's go back home." the ravenette told him, holding out her hand to him.
The redheaded boy's eyes widened slightly, his expression taking on one of shock and surprise. Then, while blushing a bit, he slowly raised his hand and placed it in the priestess's.

When he was out of sight, Esdeath turned on her heels and walked down the hallway. When she come in front a two, large black doors, she stopped. Then, grabbing and twisting the golden doorknobs, she opened them and walked into the room.
"Tatsumi..." was all the light blue haired demon woman said as she walked up to the huge block of ice that was the only thing in the room.
If one was to look at it more closer, they would be able to see the naked body of a handsome young man with raven black hair, his eyes closed.
"Today, I met a girl." Esdeath said, placing her hands on the ice, "She looks just like you" she added, pressing the side of her face against the cold form of solid. "Maybe I won't need the demon Prince's power after all. Soon, my love..." she whispered as she rubbed her face against the ice. "Soon, you and I will be together again.
