He had always held her in a higher esteem than most. It was a sort of ever-growing reverence, that lied deep within his heart.
She was truly blessed. Her unwavering desire to make others happy while managing to remain happy herself was the quality that made her so special.
He cherished every moment he spent with her and despised every moment they were apart.
Maybe he was the one that was truly blessed, for he had such a beautiful gift in his life.
Some viewed her as if she were still a child, but he knew better.
Her deep appreciation for the small things in life and her regretless, carefree lifestyle was what gave them this impression, he supposed. She was naive, yes, but mature far past her years in many ways.
He didn't just love her, he loved everything about her.
Her laugh was the melody that brought peace to his heart in times of fear and uncertainty.
Her smile eased eased his pain and warmed his soul.
He was happiest when they were together.
She talked a lot more than most could tolerate, but he never minded. He was aware that he talked a lot less than most would care for, and yet, she still managed to understand his silence, when no one else could.
It was true, he concluded, she was his guilty pleasure...
and maybe one day, he could be hers.
