Ain't that A Kick in the head?

By Marla-is-beautiful

This is a one-shot. I was listening to the Robbie Williams song of the same name before History and, then proceed to get it stuck in my head. This is the result of a very boring history lesson and that particular song.

I do not own any characters if I did I wouldn't be bored in history, now would I?

"How lucky can one guy be, I kissed her and she kissed me! I never thought this day would come, the day where I kissed Lily Evans, and that she would kiss me back. Me, James Potter, her sworn enemy!" James began to tell to tell his friends Sirius Black, Remus Lupin and Peter Pettigrew. He danced around like a floaty fairy. Sirius eyes bugged out of his head. Remus kept opening his mouth and closing it again, like a lost goldfish.

"She kissed me. I never want to forget the velvety touch of her lips pressed against mine and, the sweet taste of her blueberry lip balm, or was it gloss? Probably gloss. Her lips are too shiny for it to be balm. But, she ran down the stairs into my waiting arms," Sirius began to make vomiting noises. James glared at him.

"And, pressed those beautiful lips against mine. Those lips musty belong to a angel. For how could she be anything else?" Remus looked flabbergasted by this statement and had to sit down unceremoniously into a waiting armchair.

"She is far too beautiful to be a mere mortal. This very night she appeared in my life again. A blur of flaming red hair and her lips against my lips. Her little freckled arms clinging to my waist. Me, lifting her up off her feet as I felt her slim body pressed against mine. I swore at the time that I was dreaming. A beautiful, perfect dream, where all the planets in the world had aligned to form a perfect world for that slipt second where her lips were against mine. A dream that I never want to wake up from. It happened so fast that I could have sworn that she had fallen down the stairs in to my arms," James finished. Looking a little dreamy and in a daze still, he whisked Sirius off in his arms for a dance.

A waltz.

Remus' mouth twitched.

Once.

Twice.

Three times. Watching his friend still dance with Sirius, he realised James was delirious.

His mouth twitched again into a small smile. He sighed, quietly.

"Prongs? Are you talking about the time Lily fell down the stairs, and, smacked into you? In first year? Prongs, she hit you afterwards. You had a black eye for a fortnight! Prongs, please tell me your not still going on about that, because I don't think it counts as kissing if she hits you. Oh, my, Merlin. You are still going on about that! James, it's been seven years…Oh!"

The 'Oh!' was due to Lily coming up behind James and wrapping her small freckled arms around James' board muscular shoulders, and, planting a kiss on his messy black hair. She had to tip toe to reach of course, and he laughed when he saw. James raised a eyebrow at Remus, who had proceeded to rub his eyes, like he couldn't quite believe what he was seeing.

"I'm hallucinating," He whispered, turning around to climb out the portrait hole, on his way to the hospital wing. Lily giggled, and, James grinned at Sirius and Peter who looked like they'd just been hit over the head with bludgers.

Laughing with Lily, he wrapped a arm around her waist, kissed her forehead and they too, disappeared out the portrait hole towards the Great hall.

Meanwhile, Peter and Sirius, turned and looked at each other.

"Did that just happen?"

"Yup"

"Well, ain't that a kick in the head."

"You owe me fifty galleons wormtail,"

Please Reveiw and let me know what you think!
