A/N so I was watching the forest of the dead and I thought what if The Doctor was able to give River the one thing she had always wanted
River looked around she was standing in a park. She was dressed in a loose fitting white dress.
A young girl and an older dark skinned man came towards her the girl smiled,
"It's okay you're safe. You'll always be safe here. The Doctor fixed the data core. This is a good place now. But I was worried you might be lonely, so I brought you some friends. Aren't I a clever girl?" she said
"Aren't we all?" asked a familiar voice turning River saw miss Evangelista, Anita, Proper Dave, and Other Dave coming towards her. River grinned, "Oh for heaven's sake. He just can't do it, can he? That man. That impossible man. He just can't give in." she said hugging her friends.
The Doctor entered the TARDIS snapped his fingers and the door closed behind him. With a familiar wheezing the TARDIS dematerialized. Moments later the wheezing sound returned. A blue box appeared in the spot that it had just left from. The door opened and a man exited, but it wasn't the same man that had just entered it. This man had floppy brown hair and a square jaw. He wore a tweed jacket and a red bow tie, and in his hand he held a sonic screwdriver in his hand gingerly as though it would break looking down at it he whispered, "Hold on Ponds" then he took off running towards the data core.
The young girl looked at River, "Well he is a clever boy isn't he?" River pulled away from her friends.
"What do you mean?" she asked. The little girl smiled at her, "He saved them, he saved them for you. So you could see them again" River was about to ask who the little girl meant, when she heard a someone behind her speak, "Melody?" the voice that spoke had a heavy Scottish accent. River turned slowly to face the person who had spoke. Her eyes widened the person who spoke was her mother, and there standing next to her was River's father. River felt a grin spread across her face, "Amy, Rory." she said running forward and embracing them. Amy laughed returning River's embrace. Over Amy's shoulder River looked at the sky and murmured "Thank you." Knowing that the Doctor had given them all the gift of the life that they had all had stolen from them. He had given River the gift that River had always wanted a life with her parents by her side.
