The axis powers were stranded on an island. Again. Monika sighed as she watched Felicia play in the water. Sakura was currently in the forest, collecting fruit. Monika waited patiently, but couldn't help but will her to come back faster.
As it started getting darker, Felicia climbed out of the water and sat next to Monika. The latter took her coat off as the former laid down, and placed it on her. Felicia let out small 'veh~'s as she fell asleep.
Monika stared at the moon. It made her feel somewhat... calm. A funny feeling, really. For a nation to feel calm. The island was quiet. Looking away from the moon, her calmness turned to wariness. Shouldn't Sakura be back by now?
As if on cue, a surprised scream rang across the island. Monika hesitated, her worry growing. She quickly woke up a tired Felicia, and the two made their search.
The duo were climbing on rocks, calling out for Sakura. As Felicia followed Monika, she suddenly slipped.
"Veh! Germany!" Felicia screamed, sliding down a tunnel. She reach the bottom, the impact causing her to flip to her hands and knees. She stood, brushing off her bruised knees. "Germany~!" She called up, "I'm okay! But I don't think I can climb back up..." She quickly moved out of the way as she heard Monika grunt.
Monika landed the same way Felicia did, but a little rougher. She stood up, looking around. There appeared to be an opening towards one of the walls. She squeezed through it, Felicia following quickly behind. Inside, they were met with a miracle.
Sakura sat on the edge of a small pool. Her sandals laid by her side, and her feet lay inside the water. She was staring contently at the pool, as if wondering what secrets it held.
"Veh~ Japan!" Felicia cried, launching herself at the Japanese woman.
"Itary-chan-!" Sakura tried to stop her, but they both ended up in the pool. She gasped, instantly becoming wet and cold. She shivered.
Monika sighed, suppressing a face palm. She noticed something. There was an opening under the water! She looked around, not seeing any other way out. "It looks like the only other way out is under the water." Sakura sighed as Monika climbed into the water.
A few seconds passed, and the girls looked up as if controlled by a spell. The full moon appeared through a hole in the rocks. The water started bubbling, but the trio barely noticed. As the moon passed, the water stopped and the spell was released.
"Werr... that was... strange..." Sakura said, barely above a whisper.
"Veh~"
"W-We should get going." Monika stuttered, confused by what happened.
The trio took in a deep breath, and swam under. It took longer than expected to reach the other side, but they made it. Felicia coughed up a little water, having accidently breathed some in as they were surfacing. They swam back to their spot on the beach. They were wet, cold, hungry, and their fire wouldn't light. Looks like it was going to be a long night.
