A/N: I know it gets weird near the ending but I really didn't know how to insert that part.
Hermione was, as always, studying in the common room, harder than ever, so she could get all her homework done. She wanted to help her friends get ready for the Yule Ball next week so she needed to solve a week's worth of work in two days. No problem for her.
Harry and Ron were playing wizard chess again, Harry still losing spectacularly every time. They were bored, or at least Harry was of losing, but they had nothing better to do.
The Weasley twins were sitting in their corner with Lee, bored to death. Fred was looking at the fire, his eyes ocassionally drifting to a certain witch in the room. George smirked at his brother, a plan catching roots in his mind.
"Hey Freddie, I know what we could do to wash off the boringness of this enchanting night." His brother's head shot up curious.
"Say, what do you have in mind?"
"Well, a game of 'Never have I ever' sounds interesting, but…with shots of Firewiskey. Of course, we won't play alone, but I know three other people we can convince." Freds eyes lit up as a smirk made it's way to his lips.
"And after that we could play truth or dare. But simple Firewiskey sounds a little boring, don't you think?" Lee entered the conversation at that point.
"Well, Snape isn't in the dungeons right now and I know something in his stack that could make our games a little more interesting."
The three of them parted. Fred headed to the kitchens to get a bottle of Firewiskey, and Lee and George to the dungeons to take something that Fred didn't know what it was.
When Lee took the little vial off the shelf the two of them smirked at each other.
"Well, I guess it's going to be an interestig night. Especially for Freddie."
When asked by Fred what was the potion, the boys answered that they mixed two, as to not suffer from hangover next day, but the ones who would have more than five shots will have their hair turned turquoise. He didn't really belive them, he knew his twin better than that, but dropped the subject. A surprise was always welcome.
After pouring the whole vial in the firewiskey bottle, the three of them went back to the common room to gather the other members for the games.
"Harry, Ron, wanna play a game of' Never have I ever'? With a little twist though"
"And what's that?" Ron asked suspicious.
"We play it with shots. Don't worry, we put an anti-hangover potion in it."
"Hmmm…" the two boys seemed to have a little unspoken conversation "ok, we'll play"
"We'll meet in our room in five minutes then. Oh, and by the way, after that we'll play truth or dare." Lee said, and before Harry or Ron had time to say anything, they left.
Hermione was reading a book for History of magic, but when she had just 30 pages left, her book was snatched from her table.
"Hey, give it ba-" she started but swallowed her words when she saw who was standing in front of her. One of her eyebrows raised up and she extended her arm
"Give it back Fred"
"He won't give it back until you accept our proposition "
"And what is that?"
"The three of us along with Harry and Ron are going to play 'Never have I ever' with shots and then truth or dare."
"Shots? Really boys?"
"Don't worry, we put an anti-hangover potion in it. We're going to be fine" She sighted.
"Fine, I'll play with you, but give me the book back." Fred handed her the book and their hands brushed.
"We're meeting in our room in five minutes" the boys quickly left, but in the dim light Hermione didn't see the light blush spread across Fred's cheeks, as it was mostly concealed by his smirk.
They started cleaning their room that was full of Zonko products and potion ideas for their shop, the list growing larger and larger, ideas flowing from their heads like a waterfall.
Finally, five minutes later, their room was clean just in time as a light knock was heard at their door. Lee opened the door just in time for Hermione and the others to look confused at the twins emerging from under their beds. The confusion quickly disappeared as George showed them the dark golden detailed bottle and Fred the 6 little glasses they retrieved from under their beds. Twin smirks were on their faces as they set the glasses and the bottle on the floor and sat down.
"Come on. Are you playing or what?"
The three stunned people moved from the doorway and sat down in a circle;Harry next to Hermione next to Fred, George, Lee and finally Ron. Each of them took a glass as George spoke up.
"So, this game of 'Never have I ever' will go this way: Someone says 'Never have I ever' like in the usual game, but in this one, whoever did that particular thing has to take half a shot of Firewhiskey. Only half because if we do full shots we'll be all dead drunk before we can even get to 'Truth or dare'. Everybody understood?"
"Yes" they all chorused, Hermione already looking like she was regretting it.
"Ok then, let's start. Well go clockwise. I start" Lee said. "Never have I ever sneaked out of the house"
Looking at each other, the twins, Ron and Harry started laughting and drank.
Then it was Ron's turn. "Never have I ever tought about having Snape's robes set on fire"
Hermione turned red as she took a shot along with Lee. "Really, no one else?" she asked.
"Well, we never tought about…"
"…that, more of having his hair set on fire"
Harry's turn. "Never have I ever been in the Slytherin common room"
Harry and Ron obviously downed their shots but were surprised when Lee joined them.
"What? We pulled a prank on Flint in third year. It was essential for that." Fred and George though exchanged knowing glances.
Hermione's turn. "Never have I ever broken a school rule" That was literally on purpose, as all of them downed their glasses and Harry wondered out loud. "Should we finnish the whole bottle now?"
Fred's turn " Never have I ever snogged someone" Everyone but Harry and Ron drank and Hermione blushed furiously as the two of them looked stunned at her. Their Hermione, snogging someone? 'Utter idiot' she thought.
George followed. "Never have I ever illegally snuck something to another country"
Harry, Ron and Hermione drank and dreamy smiles could be seen playing on their lips. The alcohol was starting to kick in. Except for, surprisingly, Hermione who still seemed sober.
Lee again. "Never have I ever had a crush on a teacher." Everyone was expecting Hermione to drink because *coughLockhartcough* but then Lee and the twins drank too and got some funny looks.
"Professor Aletis, one year before you got here, DADA, she was about 21 if I remember well. As opposed to our other DADA teachers, se actually just got a job she wanted in Greece, and that's why she left. I still think she was part Veela." Lee explained and both twins nodded.
"Ok….moving on…"
Ron again. "Never have I ever made one of my brothers be afraid of spiders" that was targeted, as only Fred and George drank.
Harry "Never have I ever made fun of my friends." Everyone but Harry and Hermione drank. The latter started thinking of the question as she was the next to ask.
"Hmmm…never have I ever kissed someone while thinking of someone else." Lee and the twins drank and Hermione froze on her spot.
"Ummm, guys, I think this asks for some explanations" Ron declared, his eyes begginng to look glossy.
Lee was first. "I wanted to make some girl jealous in third year so I kised one of her friends."
"Very Slytheriny of you Lee." George said "For me it was a dare. Remember, that game in fourth year." All three of them looked dreamy somwhere far away before someone snapped them back to reality.
"And?" Harry asked Fred, wanting to get back to the game.
"Well, I kind of realized in the middle of the kiss that the girl wasn't the one I really liked. Soo…yeahh." He looked suddently very interested in the carpet in front of him and completly oblivious to the sharp glare he was recieving.
Fred"Ok then. Never have I ever been in real danger of dying."
Harry, Ron and Hermione drank. Obviously…
George "Never have I ever skipped classes." The twins and Lee drank and then looked at Harry and Ron.
"What? You really think we could ever skip classes with Hermione breathing down our necks?"
"Fair enough"
Lee "Never have I ever got caught out after cufew by Peeves" Harry drank.
Ron "Never have I ever put one of my siblings take an Unbreakable Vow."
"Really now, Ronniekiens? Are…"
"…you so keen on remembering everything we ever…"
"…done to you?" the twins asked as they drank.
"Maybe. Why not?" He smirked.
Harry "Never have I ever seen a Basilisk"
"Oh, well, how ingenious of you Harry" Hermione stated as they both drank
Hermione"Never have I ever lost my mind over a Veela" when no one made a move she rolled her eyes. "Come on, drink up, all of you. I was there both at the World Cup and at the welcoming feast."
The boys sighted and drank.
Fred was deffinetly entirely too dizzy to observe that even though everyone took more than 5 shots, no one's hair was tourquise. Not that he belived George in first place.
"Ok guys, I think that's enough alcohol for all of us" Fred said.
They took a short break for the twins to perform sobering charms for everyone and enough for Hermione to make the bottle dissapear in case anyone else got another drinking idea for that night. No, she wanted them to go through the 'Truth or dare' game sober.
"Ok then. Everyone ready?" George asked after they at down as before.
There were murmurs of 'yes' and 'yup' as everyone was already think of how to torture or get out secrets of the others.
"Then I start" he put the empty bottle of Firewiskey in the middle of their little circle and spun it.
"Ok Harry, Truth or dare?"
"Truth"
"How do you feel about Cho Chang?"
"Well, I like her but she's too pretty to like me back. With Diggory on her heels..." he was so shocked he didn't even catch the smirk Lee and George exchanged.
"Well, I guess I'm next" He said, still red in the face stretching towards the bottle and spinning it.
"Ok Lee, truth or dare?"he pretended to think of it before answering with a straight face
"Dare"
"Ok, I dare you to try and get to the girls' dormitory"
"But you know the stairs form a slide when a boy touches them."
"Exactly, that's why you'll walk up the stairs in heels" He looked at Hermione.
"What?"
"Have any heels?"
"My shoes wouldn't fit." She said reddening a little
"Oh, but we can magically enlarge them" Fred smirked seeing the murderous glare Hermione sent him.
"C'mon Mione, we'd like to go to the next person if you don't mind" George said
She groaned and rushed to her bedroom, coming back with a black braided pair of stiletto heels. The three sixth years muffled laughter when Ron and Harry's jaws fell as soon as Hermione entered the room.
The girl walked up to them and put the shoes on the floor.
"Come on, it's just like l-" George swallowed his words when Hermione looked at him. She muttered a spell and then Lee put the shoes on.
All of them walked down the stairs to the Common Room,(the twins carying Lee) and then posted themselves at the bottom of the stairs leading up to the girls' part of the tower.
"Mate, what's up with Hermione? She's acting weird."
"No really Ron, I haven't noticed that. But really now, what's up with her?"
"Well, we still have a night's worth of 'Truth and dare' to play."
"You're right. We'll get the truth out of her. She's our friend. It's not going to be that hard."
"Wait, what are they saying?" they turned to Hermione who was scolding the other three.
"If either of you says anything else anymore, im going to hex your asses off." she threatened and Fred smirked at her.
"Don't you dare !"
"What? I didn't say anything"
"Ok. Let's get this over with now. So we can finnish the game. Though I don't think you three are full sober."
"Oh, come on. Show some trust here."
"Really Lee?"
Harry and Ron pretended to talk to each other when the others came to them.
Lee barely stood on his own on the 3.5 inch heels, but he caught on the bar next to the stairs and started to walk. After some hilarious minutes and three attempts of giving up, he made it to the first floor. He then slipped out of the shoes and the stairs turned to a slide.
"I'm never underestimating the horror or heels ever again. Let's go now."
As they all sat on the floor again, Lee spun on the bottle and a no good predicting smile lit up his face.
"Hermione dear...truth or dare?"
"Oh, God, I think it's safer to take dare."
"Hmmm, I dare you to...chose truth next time the bottle points to you."
"Arrrgh. Fine, my turn." she spun it
"George, truth or dare?"
"Truth"
"Do you have a crush on Angelina?"
"Yep, since last year. She's gorgeous in the light of the great hall, don't you think?"
"If you say so…next" George spun the bottle
"Harry, truth or dare?"
"Dare"
"I dare you to go down in the Common Room and scream 'Malfoy sucks'."
"Okay" Two minutes later he was back, laughing.
"What happened?"
"I got a rather loud 'Hell yeah' from about half the house" he spun
"Fred, truth or dare?"
"Truth"
"Do you have a crush on a Gryffindor?"
"Absolutely. The most beautiful of them all. And also-" He slapped a hand over his mouth and turned to the other two. "What the hell did you put in the Firewishkey? Since our hair isn't turquoise."
"Veritaserum." Lee answered, smirking in anticipation.
"Oh, no…" Hermione looked absolutely frightened. Fred spun
"Ronniekiens-"
"Truth"
"Do you happen to have some unhealthy feelings for a certain blonde half Veela?"
"Maybe. A little, ok, yes, it's not healthy but whatever" He stretched and spun
"Lee, truth or dare?"
"I'll go with truth this time."
"Since when can you tell the difference between Fred and George?"
"Well, that's a really good question. Since our second year. I don't really remember how, but I just know." Spin
"Hermione, I would ask what you choose, but the dare was to choose truth, soo.."
"Just say it. I wanna get this over with." She was pressing her palms on the carpet so hard, they were nearly white.
"Do you have a crush on a Weasley?" Well, shit…
"Well, yes." Spin
"George, truth or dare?"
"Truth"
"Why the hell did you put the Veritaserum in the Firewhiskey?"
"Cause you're idiots." Spin
"Harry, truth or dare?"
"Truth"
"Did you invite someone to the Ball?"
"Yes, Cho, but she's going with Cedric." Spin
"George-"
"Dare"
"I dare you to go invite Angelina to the ball" after stumbling into the common room, George managed to get Angelina to go with him. Spin
"Ron?"
"Dare"
"I dare you to eat three Bertie Botts beans of my choice all at once" he got hot pepper, dirt and earwax. His brother clearly had a talent. Spin
"Fred"
"Dare"
"I dare you to go tell the Fat Lady that her singing is terrifying" after some screaming and a running attempt, the portrait let Fred back in.
"I'm never doing that again." spin
"Harry?"
"Truth."
"What did you think of me and George the first time you saw us?"
"That you like to torture your mother. You know, with who each of you is..." spin
"George, truth or dare?"
"Truth."
"Do you and Fred ever get confused about who is who?"
"Well, once last year when we got a little too drunk. We thought that we were walking mirrors or something." he sighted and looked into the distance melancholically. Spin
"Mione, truth or dare?"
"Dare."
"I dare you to kiss your crush." Silence. Then Hermione sighted. "I guess there's not much of a choice left is it?"
Out of all the ways Hermione could have reacted and everything she could have done, Harry and Ron definitely didn't expect what happened next. She turned to her right, pulled Fred's collar and closed the distance between them. When they finally pulled away, she was nearly sitting in his lap, her two friends' jaws were nearly brushing the ground, and Lee and George had smug expressions on their faces.
"You like my brother Mione? "
"Actually we're dating Ronniekiens."
"Dating?!??!? Why didn't you tell us anything?"
"Probably because I knew you'll react like this Ronald."
"Well, Mione, that was unexpected. Since when?"
"Last summer."
"That's a lot of time."
"I know, but I'm happy."
"Me too." Fred smiled and pulled his girlfriend into a tight hug. "Go to the ball with me?"
"Of course I am."
"Can we get back to the game?"
"Sure Harry."
