Author's Note: Just a short drabble I wrote for the Fanfic100 Challenge for 001. Beginnings. This is really short, but I plan on writing more Snow/Charming in the future!
As far as beginnings go, Snow White did not consider hers with James to be particularly auspicious. She had always heard stories of true love starting from a caught glance across a crowded ball room or a stolen kiss on an isolated balcony on a starry night. Love never included stealing other than a stolen heart, and love most certainly never began while fighting for your life against trolls out for blood and gold. Love wasn't full of mistaken first impressions and snark, and first meetings always end with promises of future moments together.
Yet as Snow White donned her luxurious white gown and prepared for her marriage to her Prince Charming (an aspect of their relationship that had inexorably stuck) she wondered if their beginning suited the two of them more than any love at first sight or at first kiss (though James was often adamant in insisting that he fell in love with her the first time he laid eyes on her). And as Snow White went off to spend the rest of her life with the man who was the perfect match she never knew she had or even wanted, she thought that maybe meetings with trolls, thievery and fairy dust could be more auspicious than she had ever imagined.
