A/N Ahhh my first Death Note fanfic. Inspired slightly by the fancomic "naive" by...actually, I have no idea, I found it watching cosplay videos on YT.
Anyways, I don't write them the best, I know. But I had to get this out of my system. Just a oneshot, pretty short but sweet.

"Ryuuzaki, have you ever been in love?"
L stopped sipping his chocolate milk for second to think about that. Had he? It really depended on what love felt like, then he should be able to work out whether he ever had been or not.
"I'm not sure, what does love feel like, Light?"
"Well, Ryuuzaki..." he chuckled without much humour, leaning in closer by about an inch.
"Your head swims with longing to be with them at all times, so much that you can't focus without them."
L nodded, taking in the information like a computer.
"Your heart...speeds up, and reaches an impossibly light feeling, like a feather, but it still feels heavy somehow."
Light found himself leaning in a little closer, "Like mabye it's been filled up with water, but something is still holding it up."
L swallowed, suddenly finding an autumn leave scurrying across the sidewalk interesting. He scooted back until he touched the park bench's arm rest.
Light only moved closer.
"I can't...quite explain anything more...in words...just..." Light growled, diving for L's mouth.
L squeaked, suprised by the sudden kiss. Nonetheless he kissed back.
"Nnnh...Light...?"
"Yes?"
"It's begun raining."
"It has? I hadn't noticed."
Light pressed another kiss to L's lips. He tasted like really good tea, the kind you don't have to add anything to and it still tastes good. And strawberry shakes.
"Light...we should get a hotel room before it starts pouring..."
"Mm, I'll drive..."
L stood up awkwardly, his legs had gone numb.
Light laughed happily, and picked him up, bridal style.
"Light?"
"Mm?"
"I think I have been in love."
"Really?"
"With you. Right now."
L smiled, hugging tightly to Light's neck.
