A/N: This is a different post-credit scene for Black Panther that I wrote after seeing it for the first time. Hope you enjoy!
Shuri strode into her lab, happy to be back from the announcement of Wakanda to the rest of the world. She expected to have a few hours of peace and quiet in her lab to work on a couple new projects she'd thought of while away.
What she didn't expect was to see a white, teenage boy rummaging through her files.
"What the hell!?" she exclaimed.
The boy looked up, startled, but smiled calmly. He put his hands up in surrender and greeted, "Hi there, beautiful." He gestured around her lab and commented, "Nice place ya got."
Shuri picked up a mixed British and American accent, which was perplexing. She demanded, "Who are you, and what are you doing in my lab?"
He shrugged, "Just looking around. You're developing some very interesting projects that I'd love to help build." He pulled one holographic file out and expanded it in the air. It was a diagram of an incendiary grenade Shuri had designed for brush warfare. "Fascinating…although you could spike the heat if you compressed the shell, plus you could carry more if it was smaller."
Shuri grabbed her twin repulsors and aimed them at the boy. "I'll give you one more chance…who are you and what are you doing here?"
He smiled and answered, "I'm an inventor from New York, and I've taken an interest in Wakandan technology." He narrowed his eyes at the gauntlets and asked, "How do those work?"
"Wanna find out?" Shuri shot back. She reached for her wristband to call her brother, but for some reason, the transmission wouldn't go through.
"Don't worry, it isn't malfunctioning. Believe me; I wouldn't have the heart to mess with that level of machinery and risk damaging it. I just knocked out your com's for a few minutes." He turned his back to Shuri and announced, "I'm almost done, just be a moment."
Shuri shook her head. "Do you know who I am? I am…"
"Princess Shuri of Wakanda, daughter of the late King T'Chaka and sister of King T'Challa of Wakanda, both of whom also held the mantle of the Black Panther. You're a prodigy inventor whose tech could rival that of Stark Industries, as well as being the next-in-line for the throne of Wakanda…" he glanced up at her with eyebrows raised, "Did I miss anything?"
To say she was taken aback by his answer would've been an understatement. "Who...what do you want with us?"
He sighed, exasperated. "To be honest with you, Shuri, I'm dealing with a bit of a…problem back home and some of this tech could really help."
"So you're just going to steal it? My brother won't allow it, and neither will I."
"Steal is such an ugly word. Besides, we're both scientists. Research should be shared, shouldn't it?" She didn't seem convinced so he continued, "Speaking of your brother, how is he doing? I know how hard it is to lose a father."
"You know nothing of my brother."
He grinned, but his smile was a bit more sinister this time. "I know that we have a…mutual friend. I also know that he'd do anything to keep his little sister safe."
"Why does that matter?" she inquired.
"My father always taught me to have a backup plan for every scenario. If I get caught, I'll tell him that I've planted a bomb in his sister's lab, and he'll let me go. It's simple really." He tapped his phone and slid it into the satchel he was carrying. "If you have a fair fight with someone more powerful than yourself, you'll lose. I do my research. If you know your opponents weaknesses, you can tilt the playing fields to your favor."
"Why are you just openly telling me this?" Shuri asked, still confused at his immediate confession.
"Because, I'm leaving this room in about twenty seconds, and so far everything has gone quite smoothly. Don't you just love it when that happens?" He looked down at his watch for a few seconds before turning on his heal and announcing, "It was nice to meet you, Princess, and I hope we'll see each other again. Oh, and my name's Harry, by the way. Harry Osborn." He removed a small device from his pocket and tossed it at the glass window that faced out the Vibranium Mines. It latched onto the window and then sent out a pulse that shattered the glass. He turned back to her and mock bowed before leaning over the windowsill and falling out into the mines.
Shuri yelled, "Wait!" Just then, she heard the sound of an engine whirring and stepped back from the edge before a metal machine shot straight up towards the top of the mines. She analyzed it quickly and it reminded her of a hover bike, but it had wings and a single engine in the back. The boy, Harry Osborn, was riding it. Shuri muttered, "What the fu-?"
