Rey Mysterio just sat there in a gaze, waiting for the Smackdown tapings to finish, not that he was thinking about what his match was tonight; no he had something else on his mind. He'd been married to a woman for a long time and even had 2 kids, but now he had suddenly got feelings for someone, but this time, it wasn't a woman.
Rey had first started noticing Randy Orton back when Randy was on Smackdown, on TV they were mortal enemies, backstage however was a very different story. They were both in fact the best of friends and it was during the time after the death of both Rey and Randy's close friend, Eddie Guerrero, that Rey started realising that he had feelings towards Randy. It had been 2 years since then, and a lot of things had changed, Randy was swapped back to Raw and was now the reigning champion there, whereas Rey had been out on injury for the end of 2006 and most of 2007, although he was now back and gearing up to face Edge for the World Heavyweight championship at the royal rumble. Nothing had changed with Rey's feelings though, they were still as strong as ever.
Two weeks later, it was time for the Royal Rumble. This was something that Rey was looking forward too, because it meant ECW, and Raw would be there. Which meant Randy was going to be there. Rey went around backstage looking for Randy, and finally found him, crying in the toilets. Rey approached Randy with caution "Whats..er..wrong?".. Randy had no reply. Rey tried again.."Whats Wrong"..
this time Randy replied "There's something I have to tell you Rey..". Rey look straight into Randy's eyes.." I need to tell you something to…but you go first.."
Randy stood up, "Rey…I like you..more than a friend". Rey stood there for a moment, shocked until eventually he forced the words out of his mouth "I feel the same". Randy looked up, surprised, and kissed Rey on the lips.."I love you".."I love you too" Rey replied. Randy then asked Rey if he wanted to go to the hotel after the rumble, Rey replied with an ecstatic "Yes".
It was four hours later and the royal rumble had finally finished, Randy had successfully defended his title, whereas Rey was beaten due to interference of the edgeheads. Rey and Randy headed back to the hotel in the rental-car. "You all right Rey, you seemed too take a bit of a beating out there" "Yeah don't worry, It'll just be a few bruises, nothing too much". Randy in reply said "Well I'm sure I can kiss them better", by this time they had arrived at the hotel, they quickly checked out and ran to Randy's room. Rey and Randy slowly stripped and got into bed, at first they were both a bit nervous, but they soon got used to being with each other. After an hour, they got dressed "That was great, I love you Rey, I can't bear to be without you" "I love you too Randy, I have to go home now and you know end things with Angie". Following this there was a long silence.."I'm gunna have to tell Samantha too" and with that they departed.
