Are You Sleep Walking Again?
One am… She hated being stuck at the Morgan's house this late. Do not get her wrong, she loved spending time with Jane, Ethan and Benny of a Friday, but at this time, everyone was asleep, and she was stuck sitting in the guest room pretending to sleep. Stupid Fledgling ways. On top of her needing to drink blood (or Benny's Grandma's blood substitutes), she missed having a good sleep.
Mrs. Morgan had phoned three hours ago when they were due to come home from ice skating - their latest Friday night escapade - only to tell her that she had managed to knock Mr. Morgan over, resulting in yet another trip to the hospital, but the hospital waiting list seemed to go on forever. Stupidly enough, she told her it was fine and that she did not mind staying over late.
Jane had gone to bed at the usual time of nine (their secret, since her bed time was strictly no later than eight thirty!) and Ethan and Benny had receded into crashing in Ethan's bedroom, not that she was checking on them, but the loud sound of video games and Benny's battle cries had died down an hour ago.
Now she was stuck bored in a house with nothing to do. Listening to the rustling of the wind outside.
That was until she heard a crash downstairs, and a soft moan.
Leaping up in the bed, Sarah got her fangs at the ready and set about finding out who or what made the noise, hoping it was not a vampire.
"Dork?" She asked, reaching the kitchen.
Both eyebrows raised as she watched Benny scoff away all the junk food in the Morgan's kitchen.
"Benny? Seriously!" She groaned, and walked back out to the staircase, "Dork! Your weird best friend is eating all the junk food in your house!"
Ethan walked down the stairs, scratching the back of his head with confusion, "What?" He asked when he reached the bottom of the stairs.
As a response, Sarah dragged him over to where Benny was now raiding the fridge, "He won't listen to me!" She exclaimed.
Her exclaim was met by Ethan's hand over her mouth, "Sshh. He's sleepwalking." Ethan informed her.
"What? Sleepwalking? Benny sleepwalks?" He nodded, "Since when!"
"I said sshh, we can't wake him up." He whispered.
Sarah looked from Benny to Ethan and then back again, "What? Dork, just get him back upstairs!"
"Okay, okay." Ethan took a hold of Benny's shoulders, "Benny, sshh, we need to go back to bed." Slowly he lead him back up stairs, meeting Sarah on the landing, "Happy now?"
"Very." She replied sarcastically, "I best go clean before your parents get back."
