Chapter One
A new beginning
Paradise was what they all had hoped for. The perfect land, perfect everything. The pups were running around, playing with each other as the adults looked around for food. Rikku stayed behind, watching the young ones play around the waters edge. She walked over to the weaping willow tree that grew near the water's edge and sat down, resting her head against the trunk. The children were playing near the water, jumpping in, splashing eachother. Rikku slowly dozed off to sleep, and the childern were still playing. Hours had passed and the other wolves had come back. Toboe woke Rikku up..."Hey, where are the kids?" he asked. Rikku rubbed the sleep from her eyes, "There by the water" replied the tired woman. Toboe looked out towards the lake.
"No their not." he responded. Rikku quickly sat up, looking over the water. She couldn't hear any of the children. The worst case senireo came to mine, they drown. She runs over to the waters edge and looks down into the deep depths of the lake. She panics, her heart racing. She dives in, head first to the bottom, searching for any signs of the children. A few moments later, she surfaces, no children in sight. She swims to the waters edge, crying. "Where are they?" she asks to no one inparticular.
Toboe only looks on at her, wishing he knew. He sniffed the air, the pups scent still lingering in the air around them. He followed the scent, leading him in the direction of the opening into the "real" world. Then the scent stops, "I thought I told them never to come by here...they never listen. At least not to me...they'll listen to eachother's brainiac ideas, ending up getting themselves hurt." Toboe says to himself. He rushes back to the lake. "They've left paradise" he says blankly. Rikku looks up at him.
"They what!" She pauses for a moment. "Luna...they always follow that girl" she comments outloud. "She's soooo grounded"
So, the adults end up leaving paradise, in search of the children. This journey could take ages, they don't know how long it will take, but Toboe and Rikku know that their not going back without their children.
