People live, have kids and die. That's life. What if there was more than that? What if creatures from people's nightmares actually existed? People say that there is no life after death. Well, I am an example that goes against that… A vampire. Yet, I am alive and happily living with my family, my real family. This is where I belong…

My name is Eleanor Nichols, born in 1919. In 1938, when I was 19, I was attacked a thief, most likely after something else than my money. To cut the story short, he stabbed me and left me. I was rescued by a vampire named Carlisle Cullen as I lay, bleeding to death, on the cold streets of my hometown of Calgary, Canada. As the fiery pain consumed me, I drifted in and out of consciousness. I remember being carried by Carlisle, to somewhere unknown. The fire consumed me for what seemed like years. Finally, after the fire left my heart, the pain ended and all that remained was icy cool. My eyes had snapped open, taking in every little detail of the room surrounding me. Three males; one lanky bronze haired one, who was staring at me viciously, a blonde one, who looked patient, and the other one was a giant brown haired, who looked strangely excited; were standing in front of two beautiful women, causing me to feel deeply insecure. There was a skinny, beautiful blonde; one of the most beautiful people I had seen in my life. The another female had a kind, warm heart shaped face surrounded by wavy caramel locks. Both females were smiling at me but Blondie's smile seemed quite forced. When I looked at them, a certain colour would appear around them, abit like aura. Carlisle and Esme, who I later started to view as my parents, helped me develop my gift. Apparently those colours, which surrounded my family when I first met them, were their feelings and moods. Each colour represented a different feeling or mood, for example Blue represented sadness or Grey represents confusion. Gradually, I adapted to my new home and family, bonding with each member especially Carlisle and Emmett. Alice and Jasper showed up in 1960, before we moved to Denali, Alaska. While Alice and I bonded, I grew closer to Jasper, sharing a love for History and Reading. I understood his anguish at being the weakest link, as I was it, about 10 years before. Over time, we moved on and explored the world, gelling as a family and growing ever closer. In 2004, we moved to Forks, Washington, a small boring town, which always rained. Everything was perfect, until one day. One day, when oneHuman changed everything. This is when my story begins.

My name is Eleanor and this is my story…
