She was going crazy. She couldn't take it anymore, tomorrow would be one year exactly and she couldn't help but second guess herself. I mean wouldn't you if you sent away the one and only person you love so he could see if he loved another human more than you? I Mean, yes, we're soulmates but he said himself he tried all he could to ignore these feelings he had but he couldn't. The last months have been a living hell! She wouldn't go on her hill, she couldn't, she broke down so bad Claudine threatened her to a psycho ward.. Yes, a psycho ward she didn't even know they had one in Briar Creek. She spent most of her time at the Redferns just incase they might get a call from him saying he wasn't returning, he moved on. She was consistently waiting for the other shoe to drop.
(A/N: I just watched When In Rome) Jade and Rowan tried their best to assure her he's coming back, Kestral on the other hand told her, and I quote " What is wrong with you.. Your being stupid and if your going to mope around please LEAVE!" How supportive she is. Mark was the one who would stay beside her every night until she stopped crying, or fell asleep. No one understood though. They couldn't get why she was so sad.
"Mare I know you miss him, but come on you can't lock yourself away forever. Live your life again." She heard Rowan plead on the other side of the door. " Rowan I can't!"
" And why not!'' Don't get me wrong Rowan was the peaceful one, but she gets frustrated a lot. That did it, Mare got up off the bed and slung the door open "YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND! NONE OF YOU DO! YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT IT'S LIKE TO LIVE WITHOUT THE PERSON WHO IS YOUR HEART AND SOUL! JUST LEAVE ME ALONE!" Rowan was shocked, but she had to break through to her one way or another "Well, I don't see what the big deal is SINCE YOU SENT HIM AWAY!" Mare felt her eyes burning she couldn't hold it in anymore she let the uncontrollable tears fall. " I know, your right.. Your right" "Come on Mare I didn't mean it, It's just hurts us ALL to see you like this. You need to start thinking positive.. I mean I know my brother and I bet anything he's on his way now." Then she felt it, that little hum pulling her towards an unknown direction, her eyes widened. "Mare what's wrong!" Rowan said frantic. "He's on his way, I can feel it, He's close!" She said with her smile so wide it hurt the corners of her mouth. She couldn't hold it anymore, if she sat there any longer she might pee on herself. She ran, she ran towards him. Towards the hill. She could see him! She really saw him! "ASH! ASH..ASHHHHHHH!" He turned towards her, smiling. "Mare.." He breathed. He embraced her, loving the feeling of her being with him. Suddenly he pulled away " What's wrong?" she asked, scared. "Mare, I can't stay forever. I have to go back, Thierry needs me." "So, your leaving me again! NO, no I WILL NOT let you leave me. I'm going with you. I Don't care if I have to stay in a hotel so I don't get killed I just have to be with you." Ash smiled at this. She didn't know who Thierry is, she thinks he's evil. "Well, I mean you can live in a hotel. But the Daybreakers are pretty friendly. So, you are going with me?" Mare crinkled her forehead together still confused. "What the craps a Daybreaker?" Chuckling he replied "Daybreakers are Night Worlders who believe in the relationships between The Light and The Night worlds." Mare finally came to her senses "Ohh. So. What are we waiting for? Lets go!"
