"Remus…we…well…here." Lily stumbled out as she handed him a small, folded piece of parchment. She gave him an apathetic look and walked away. Remus watched her walk on and he looked down at the note he had just been given. He ran his thumb across his name on the front of it. Remus undid the folds and began reading.

You know I love you more than anything, and I want the world to know that we are a couple. I can't stand this being in secret any longer though. Meeting in empty classrooms, the forbidden forest, it just…isn't what either of us want or need. I need you to make a choice, Remmybear. Remus finished reading the letter and began contemplating it. Why did she want him to choose? Choose between his first friend, or his only love?
He walked over to the sofa in the common room and sat down. He folded up the note and put it back into his pocket. He clasped his hand together and began thinking about what would happen if he made the wrong decision. He did want everyone to know about Lily, everyone except James. He didn't want James to feel as if he had betrayed their friendship, but he didn't want to loose the only love he had ever truly experienced…
