A vicious firefight was going on at Lucky's Watering Hole. On one side was a ragtag group of bandits. Madmen and brigands. The other was comprised of four treasure-hunters, their superior skill, tactics and equipment steadily giving them the upper hand over the numerous bandits.

One hunter, an armour wearing man, throws down a Scorpio turret in front of him for a brief respite from the hail of bandit gunfire. Seeing this, one of the bandits throws a grenade at the man. "Eat this, asshole!" he screams. The armoured man shouts a warning and he and a nearby woman sprint away from the grenade before it explodes.

Meanwhile one of the hunters, a hulking brute of a man, is smashing through the largest concentration of bandits with nothing but fists and berserk rage. Soon the bandit that earlier threw the grenade frantically looks around as he realizes that he is the last man on his side left standing, and falls into despair. "Oh God, oh, God!" he screams in desperation. "Save me!" He cannot say any more, as his head suddenly explodes. "Boom!" Chuckling, a masked man with a sniper rifle jogs up to his comrades.

He looked down at his ruined body, puzzled. Why was he standing next to it? Furthermore, where was the rage boiling like steam in his veins? Where was the ever-present hate eating at his insides like a pool of acid? Come to think of it, he could think clearly, for the first time in so long... He suddenly became aware of someone standing next to him. The person, although looking human besides his glowing eyes, didn't quite feel like one. "Hello, Ted." the person greets him with a smile. "Who are you? What happened to me?" Ted asks. "I am your guide. Your time in this world has ended." Understanding flows through Ted, and he looks back down at his former body. "Ah. Heh, I sure am glad to be out of that mask."

"Hmph. Where's your god now, hmm?" the red-haired woman mocks him as she looks at his body. "It's such a pity, that people would choose to throw themselves away like trash." Ted murmurs as he looks at the woman. "Yes, it is." the angel-person says as he puts a hand on Ted's shoulder. "Come, it is time for you to go home!" Grinning, Ted answers "Lead the way!"
