A/N: Haven't watched all of Hikaru no Go yet, but this quote really stuck out and I haven't written any poetry in a while, so my muses latched on to the idea. :D Hope you enjoy.

the petals that float through time
'The Sakura hasn't changed at all…in a thousand years.'
The passage of time
was a stark streak of black
on a soft canvas grey
But he could still see the world
he'd once loved: the sweet
Sakura petals spinning
softly, on the breeze
And the stretch of sky –
but beyond that
even the moon
had changed
(if people could walk on the moon
in this modern world)
And the most important thing?
It had changed much, and yet
not at all.
